I'm pretty similar in my set up, small and light makes street more fun. Heavy shoulder bags means tired shoulders and a sore back!
I could simply binge watch Mike's vids all day! they are so pleasant and soothing to watch. Seems like everyone has downscaled their gear while shooting street, meanwhile me being me carrying my Hasselblad 500c and my dslr on the street... rip my back. I need to start taking notes and considering to change things! great vid as always Mike! your vids are simply magnificent with the vibes they give! 👌✌
Thanks!! What a compliment haha - id hate carrying too much around but if it works for you, then it works for you 👌🏻
I have the Bellroy 6L sling bag, it’s perfect for all of my needs. Definitely would recommend!
I have been watching your videos for some time Mike and always find them useful. Thank you.
It doesn’t look as though any other women who do street photography have commented, but I have ‘inherited’ a really comfortable Crumpler rucksack from my husband who has gone through many different types of bags for photography over the years. Perhaps because women often carry bags anyway, I need a bag that will hold everything for a day. For example, it includes space for a refillable water bottle (I refuse to buy lots of bottles of water), tissues, comb … I’ll stop there!
I feel you on having a fixed lens camera, for me I think it's just easier not having to think about which lens you wanna use. I also think fixed lenses are better for people who are just getting into photography, allowing you to spend more time understanding the camera controls without throwing you into both the camera and lens world simultaneously.
All about the almond croissant 🥐
"the little red dot means i'm better than everyone else" 😂 awesome vid! that bag looks niceee
Glad you liked that 😂
Ten years ago I bought a pair of Vans. Hated them, because there was no cushion or arch support. Good to know they have improved them, because I too like their styles.
Does time really important in Street Photography ? Like morning or evening or full day ?
Awesome vid Mikey 😀 yea I love slings where I have an extra SD card , 2 extra batteries, a note pad and my camera.i agree no flaff really reduces the thought and makes the flow easier...and yes ofc running shoes are my favs I use alot especially...cheers mate 🎉
Thanks for watching!
Love the thumb print at 17 seconds
adds texture.
Super useful video, Mike. Pleased to know I’m not the only one with a paper notebook
Glad you liked the video
Wotancraft 7l....enough said!
🎉🎉🎉
I don’t film RUclips videos so my life is much less complicated. Sometimes I just go out with my Q2 and a spare battery, which I can just stuff in my pocket inside a neoprene GoPro cover. I’ve never felt the need for a spare SD card because I’ve never come anywhere close to filling one up. Other times I’ll take I peak design 3L sling to hold it all when I think I might be going somewhere I don’t want to flaunt the camera. Oh and painkillers. Always take some nurofen!
Hot News! There is currently 30% off VANS Comfycush Old Skool Shoes - Thanks for the suggestion Mike
Wow. I might stock up 😂
@@MikeChudley I should have said it’s for new customers on the VANS website 😉
I find that with my camera two cards in are enough. I also deleted the images that I know are rubbish the night before I go out the next day. I think a few 100, like I would have on my camera about 300 shots for a few hours I also think 3 to 4 hours is enough time. If you don't get anything in that time then call it a day.
Hi mate! Thanks for the video 👌 Could you please give us the name of the magnetic GoPro mount? Thanks!!
Thanks man! ✌🏻 The name is in the shot isn’t it? Ulanzi
@@MikeChudley Oh sorry, I thought that was the brand. Thanks! I will search for it
@@juancity_ yeah it’s from Ulanzi! I think I just got it on Amazon
Mike, thanks for sharing. Sounds like you only carry one camera a time, true?
Yep! Definitely - unless you count the GoPro as a 2nd camera 🤷♂️
Why is it you use a wriststrap on the Fuji and a neckstrap on the Leica?
Fuji is smaller and lighter. Easy to throw around a little more in pockets etc. no major reasoning.
I like you bro love from India ❤ I saw your one video then next subscribe your channel
Thank you!
Boring! who cares which bag you use?
Why did you click on this video?
@@MikeChudley because your headline talked about “essentials”. I don’t honestly care if you use a Tesco bag for life to carry your gear around.
haha fair enough. @@paullavin5449
