In this episode I take a deep breath in preparation for a 5 hour journey down to Lands End Peninsula to celebrate my birthday and get some last-minute surf in before the summer comes to an end. England truly is an impressive country and I am so glad to have taken some time to explore and connect with my home.

St Michael's Mount is worth the trip if you can get back down when it's open. I went there as a kid and we walked across in the morning and had to get a boat back. It's such a nice place and the castle/palace at the top is beautiful inside!

What a star you are. I didn't get a campervan till I was 63 yrs, so really envy you getting on the road so young.
I live in Redruth, Cornwall, and love meeting all the visitors - pay no mind to that misery in Lizard village, they're just jealous!

Orcas won’t hurt you :) there’s no recorded incident in history where they have done . People often swim with them. I’ve surfed in Scotland where I saw one about 20m away . I still shit myself though

Love your videos! Recommend that you get a solar shower, lots available on Amazon. If it isn't sunny you can just mix it with cold water and hot water from the kettle, pop it in the roof of your van and it's a handy portable shower 😊

Hello. Just found your channel. The last time I was in Sennan Cove it was 1946 and I was 5 years old. Now I travel around in my Motorhome, visit places and explore but so far have not "done" Cornwall. Regards Michael

If you love surfing you should go to Praa Sands beach 🏖 on the South coast between Marazion and Helston. It's very beautiful there too.

Cornwall is definitely on our list for future years. I know a little bit of Devon and have only been through Cornwall once, very briefly many year ago. 😀

Green Earthling, hey, i have booked a lonesome week down to North Devon, as honestly it’s one of my favourite places and I know the area well, I will be surfing more than likely either at Braunton Burrows or at Staunton Sands, had a bad experience once of being pulled out by the rip at Croyde, thankfully a local helped me get back in, phew, else I may still be there now lmao, so these days croyde not my favourite place anymore, if your well into your surfing I would recommend in purchasing a board at the end of the season, I got mine about 8 years ago from the Tiki Shop in Braunton, £150 brand new (6ft fibreglass style board) as you’ve found standing up is the first hurdle, but as you progress, you will find it easier as you are better able to judge the waves, which ones to go for and which ones not too. Another thing for you to consider, is surf insurance. As you may have noticed the flags (black and white) for surfing can also have some families in there who don’t understand that a fibreglass board coming at 20-30 miles per hour can do serious damage, and having been hit in the face myself many years ago, it’s no joke lol, but you can get insurance to cover you incase you hit someone, as you never know where your board is going when you fall off, even with a leash. Worth considering for the little cost. Although if you continue to hire boards it is included, it’s only if you purchase one. Lol, thank you again for the reply, take care and stay safe Edd

Nice video 👍. I was literally just down at Sennen for 3 nights in my van earlier this week. I live In North Cornwall and amazingly it was the first time I have ever been there. Its fair to say that I will be going back very soon, I love it down there. Great to see you starting to make progress on the board. A little tip for the pee bottle, get some anti bacterial spray and give it a little blast after you empty it, keep it smelling fresh and not funky 😂
I'll go n watch a few more of your videos now as we bought a citroen berlingo multispace xtr last year and we are just waiting for Boris to give us the OK to stay away and get going 😎🥳

During the summer, me and my family go out to Cornwall, one of them has a house there so I get to stay in it but I’m sad because I can’t go there now the beach is beautiful.
Tip for ya, if you lick the camera lens of your gopro before filming, water droplets dont stick to the lens 👍👍 great video

You really need to get yourself a usb rechargeable shower and collapsible bucket, it’s what I use to wash hair when no access to showers 👍🏻
Wow great vlogg, me n wife love it down there sennon cove is yes so beautiful and the beach Porthcurno, we like the beach cove just off to the left in your video, we have been lucky to have been in the water with seals n dolphins truly magical, just a shame we live in Southend Essex 😂🤣 only 7hr 350 miles drive but so so worth it 😎👍

The only area I truly Love back home in the UK. Really loved seeing this beautiful area again. Thanks and subbed for the travel as I've lived in London, Essex, Yorkshire and Reading too. A friend I used to work with lives in Sennen. I used to serve in the RAF in the RAF at Portreath in the 80s. Loved it down there.

Best bit was it was my first posting after trade training. They asked which part of the UK would you like to go to. I said anywhere in the south. So they posted me to St. Mawgan. When I got there it got even better. The catering officer said " I'm going to send you to Portreath for 6 months and if you like it you can stay a bit longer. I was there 3 years. Monday to Friday 9 to 5. Can't get any better.
My next tour of duty was as Cabin Crew on the RAF VC10s at Brize Norton. I got to see a lot of the world and got paid to do it loved it so much I did my first 4 years there, then after doing a ground tour in Shropshire, went back to Brize Norton and did another 3 years .

Before retiring last month I was driving a van 1,500 miles per week all over the country delivering dangerous goods. 7 years ago for my 60th birthday my sister bought me (for a joke) a medical pee bottle, it turned out to be just about the best and most used birthday present ever. :0 It's now retired to my workshop, I can't bear to see it go!
I absolutely agree with that - weirdest but most used present I've ever had. Plus I don't have to get my lil toosh cold now winter has hit! 😂

Always keep your pasty close to your chest in those parts. I've lost a few to seagulls that swoop in from behind.

@@nicroams It’s gonna be very basic.Just a bed&a awning!My wife&I(&dog!)stayed in France two years ago in a old transit!We managed very well,cooking in the awning on a small portable gas cooker.Bought our water&cheap food from local shops&farms(80p for a bottle of wine from a farm!)Unfortunately,the old van gave up the ghost,so we gave it away&dove in head first,borrowed some cash,&now plan to head back to Francs!(Virus permitted!)We,v subscribed,an look forward to your new adventures to inspire us!(virus permitting!)Good luck from the wife&me,&Pipa the Caveshone!😁👍

My father used to say "Roll on Sept"when the emmits went home & you could park outside your own house again.Or be able to get out of your own drive.Been landlocked for many years due to dumb decision & how I miss the ocean.
You HAVE TO GO TO HURST CASTLE- Keyhaven- on the beach road that you can touch the water with you toes at high tide from your van! Big Van life there most weekends and occasional during week. It’s simply beautiful! You wanna head towards Salt Grass Lane. Park anywhere on the right side of toad else you’ll get flooded lol. You’ll see what I mean It’s bit of a tight road but lovely. Free parking overnight so far :-))

Just started watching your channel as thinking about getting a van and feeling inspired by your content , also I live in a little hamlet called Morvah in Cornwall not to far from Penzance on a farm and we have a campsite field in the summer months very reasonable low price per night with flush toilets and running water / taps for filling up as well and vans are welcome

If you don't already have them in your van, get yourself some battery powered fairy lights. I swear by them when I'm off grid as they give off a surprising amount of light with a few of them strung around the van, and they look so pretty 😁I think I picked mine up for about 1.29 each. B&M or Poundstretcher, places like that :) Better than a crappy battery powered lamp

As a Cornishman, born and bred, i winced at you saying Penwith. We pronounce the 'w'! Pen-with. Like watching the vids though, keep them up and enjoy Cornwall!
Salty sailor can use a 25ltr plastic Gerry can and drill small holes 1 mm all over the cap and put divers tape over it, So when you get to a nice quite location you just hang it up on something high and rip the tape off and wash your hair or even have a shower under it, And if you had a hose you could steel hot water from the toilet Shh" You can even have a hot shower at -20 bellow, Very refreshing on a cold day :)

Cleaned my camper o/s today ,just a possibility I could go somewhere this year ,not next Tuesday done exactly 800 miles+ since last mot that’s what lockdown does but better to be safe than sorry!

Long, long time since I was in Cornwall, visited Newquay, Torquay and Penzance, sunshine for the whole 2 weeks.
You are a brave girl parking in lay-by's on your own, I can't get my wife to agree to wild camping in our van.
Never been to Lands End, but have been to John O'Groats on the bike. :)
