  • Prince George appeared to fight back tears as he prepared to bravely follow the coffin of his beloved great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II out of Westminster Abbey. George, nine, and Charlotte, seven - who affectionately called the Queen “Gan Gan” - attended the late monarch’s funeral with their parents William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales.

I love that when Prince William was little, he couldn't say Granny. For a long time, he called The Queen Gary !!!
I think that is SO sweet, and a lovely thing between a little boy and his granny.
I would think it just as sweet, if this happened between any granny and her adored grandson.
But the fact she is The Queen, to be called Gary, is just beautiful 🥰

I am very glad that George and Charlotte were included. They are old enough to understand and I believe it was important for them to be there. Not only do they have every right to say goodbye, this is an education for them on protocol and how things are done. It was also important for them to see just how many people loved her and I hope they understand that the people were also there to support them in their grief. I still cry for the loss of my grandmother, even though it's been over 20 years, and I know this isn't the last of their tears either. My heart breaks for them more than anyone because they are so young. They are beautiful children and I do not envy how broken their little hearts are right now, but I have been praying that God watch over them all and bring them comfort. May God bless their little souls and protect them throughout their lives. They now have one heck of a guardian angel! Long Live The King.

This particular video gobsmacked me , when they stated that young Prince George has the potential to be the first King of the 22nd century. The long arm of history stretches back to show Prince George the Royal Family's reign that spans 37 generations and 1209 years. All of the monarchs are descendants of King Alfred the Great, who reigned in 871, and now to see the future in the eyes of Prince George takes one's breath away for a moment. Thank you for the light in this time of great mourning and sadness.

The day we buried her on Saturday morning, I was just going through the motion. Honestly, the reality hit me hard that evening after we were alone looking at her garden and realized she is no longer there. I wouldn't be in her garden with her working and chatting. It's been 10yrs but I still miss chatting with her, I tell her everything she never judge me. She helped me figured out some much on those weekends.
