IGN review "there are still some fetch quests", but gives 10/10 to Zelda BOTW where the majority of quests are like that and even the best ones are no match for Xenoblade 3 heroes quests.
It should be more of a dock for aging hardware than the game itself. When the Switch first came out, it was easier to give games a pass on the graphical front since at that time, it was one of the most powerful handheld gaming systems that was far ahead of the 3DS. Now that the system has been out for a while, expectations are a bit higher. Also, XBC3's visuals are ambitious for what the Switch can push so you will see more compromises they had to make.
That's an issue with only having a 10 point scale. The fact is that there's loads of games being released that would warrant a 5/10 or below, but most of them aren't notable enough to even cover. The majority of notable games being released these days are at worst decent. Hence why you mostly see scores in the 6-9 range.
The side quests are boring. The Hero Quests tho are much more interesting. They’re like special side quests that unlock heroes that can join your party
@@zomebody5529 because IGN is scummy. It’s been that way for years and all it ever does for games is look at what other people are saying and rate it on that. It’s not just Xenoblade, they just seem all around untrustworthy

This is literally the most anticipated game for me! My suggestion is watching a different review and seeing what their opinion is on the game.
@@HM-hd7up The problem is that IGN gives tons of mediocre games scores of 8s. It's that time again. Xenogoat Chronicles is back, and the story is supposedly "150 hours." I'mma savor this, and lock myself away from the outside world for a few weeks. 😤😤😤😤😤
100+ hour JRPGs are still a pretty hard sell to western audiences. People here prefer their quick dopamine rushes rather than slow burning, meaningful experiences.
Honestly it sound like this game is the soap opera of gaming lol. Everything is over lengthen and overcomplicated but you must endure it till the end to get the satisfying ending.
If only IGN complained as much about artistic limitations as much as about hardware limitations.... We would have had much more games that were fun and creative, instead of crisp good looking games that are a chore to actually play.
well they got rid of character customization completely so you better enjoy the story because thats all what this game is about. There isnt even blades anymore
3:51 you can extrapolate this to ALL of video games as a hobby. Just play the game, or don't. It is what it is. Does counting pixels or acting like your precious eyeballs absolutely must have no less than 60fps enhance anything? Does it make you smarter or better? Lots of people really don't even like video games. They just like "um, actualying" and acting superior on the internet. Those are the kind of people that would've spent their time hating Wind Waker in 2002 instead of enjoying an amazing game.
It’s not about the graphics changing the gameplay but it’s more that it takes away from the experience and actually being able to enjoy the game because Nintendo is behind on hardware compared to Sony or Microsoft
You can thank Nintendo for these games even existing. Monolith Soft was going under during their Namco era and Nintendo swooped in and purchased them for their IPs. Takahashi is notorious for making overblown, over budget, messes of games.
@@darkchibi07bubby they have already have clips of spoilers in the review so if they actually cared they wouldn’t have put them in or made this spoiler review. Even still convoluted is such generic and overused word it either shows a lack of writing skill and failure to get your ideas across. Any story with more than 2 plot points can be misconstrued as “convoluted” if you’re going to use an ambiguous term then back it up with at least some non-specific examples, like how the narrative flows, or a provide example from a side quest that’s is a microcosm of the narrative issues.
Basically further confirming why Switch needs a PRO version. Either the game textures look like crap or it runs like crap, no in-between lol Instead they wasted time with an OLED Switch....Imagine this running at 60fps!
It absolutely does. Games are designed and play different depending on what console they're released on. Even ports of games have to take the peripheral into consideration. If they would have designed the game around the switch like they're supposed to do, then there wouldn't be such an issue with performance.

Lmao why does IGN even review anything anymore when they literally score everything with a 8/10 🤦♂️🤦♂️.
Or if its terrible, a 7
That's an issue with only having a 10 point scale. The fact is that there's loads of games being released that would warrant a 5/10 or below, but most of them aren't notable enough to even cover. The majority of notable games being released these days are at worst decent. Hence why you mostly see scores in the 6-9 range.
Its a Great RPG but since its an JRPG we have to Knock off 2 points because if dont want to admit that Japanese Roleplaying games can be a Masterpiece

It absolutely does. Games are designed and play different depending on what console they're released on. Even ports of games have to take the peripheral into consideration.
