One of the main reasons for getting a Dreamcast back then, basically it was an improved version fully 3D of RE2. It was released for the PS2 ( too much blurry) and later for the GC (very clear colors just like in the original release).
That HD version though. 😍
This game was released and developed as an apology for not being able to port RE2 to the Saturn. When it came out, it was quite clear that Capcom really wanted to make it up to the fans and obviously the quality of the game proves that. But many people still think this was intended to be RE3 and it was NOT ever meant to be that.

Its a good game for ps2 its deffo not blurred at all
@@user-pj2lu2mw7h I own and played both versions on the CRT, the PS2 port is slightly blurred compared to the DC and GC ports.
I loved Code Veronica. I really miss the old RE games.

I'm pretty sure this game is available on ps4 and ps5 using the ps2 version as an emulator but yea it does need a remake.

The Gamecube version is what drew me in. Too bad the second disk got scuffed and broken.
I love how at the start Steve says. "Can't have you following me, you'll only slow me down." No shit, Steve, these controls are terrible!

This game took me ages to beat forever ago, and it was such a drain to do so that it’s one of those one and done kind of games for me

@@Spazbo4 I checked the HD version ..there was no door opening ..maybe only in GC version
@@user-pu2id7ce1r I have the HD version too and the zombie will open that door as long as it is alive. it happens in every version of the game. but you first said PS2 and now you say HD version but the PS2 is not HD but it still happens in both anyway

3:46:02 this sound effect for lowering down the lever for gamecube is the same as dreamcast and HD versions but for some reason it has a different sound in the ps2 version.

What makes this version better? I hear people saying the GameCube Code Veronica is the best, but I don't see any improvement compared to the PS2 or Dreamcast...

This game is worth at least $180 now.
Facts. Still going for $175 on average for the GameCube in 2023. Its definitely a gem.

The only res evil game for ps2 ill play n res dc n res 2 for ps1 not keen on the other ones
Wasnt this on the original playstation? I remember the graphics looking more blocky when I played it.
Was on the Dreamcast first. Then ported to PS2 and GameCube.
