i really wish you would show some video sequences how you are using the apps. with you class or whatever.. I like the talk but would like to see some examples, you know
I'm also a primary school teacher and also grew up as a fan of Apple products! However, in my classroom I chose to use a Surface Pro connected to a screen via a Miracast receiver. I find that I like that my OneDrive files are right in Windows File Explorer. (I don't have a printer machine!)
Great video. I am a math teacher from India. I handle math & physics for grades 9 to 12. I use an iPad 9.7" with an active stylus(Adonit pixel), hooked to a monitor via Apple TV. I use 'goodnotes' app for my math class. I also use apps like 'Notability',Goodreader,Documents(by Readdle). One app I use most is Telegram. I create chat groups and use it for all doubt clearing sessions. All questions are posted by students, as images to which I send solutions as PDF created on my iPad. Best part is that Telegram works on all devices with just one account - on iPad, iPhone,PC, Mac,Android. I usually use Goodnotes app to do all the solution work on iPad. Just shared some info, in case it helps anyone. Keep posting more videos !! Thank you!
Could you guys make a video on the apps available for iPad to make it work in conjunction with Mac/PC like apps that turn iPad into an external display? Cheers!
Really interesting. I love Foojee videos as they deal with real world usage. I'm mainly a mac user but find myself using iPad Pro 12.9 more for university. Notability and PDF expert so much better for annotating and making notes via split screen when doing paper reviews then a PC or Mac using the Apple Pencil. My wife is also a primary teacher who uses iPads in class a lot, so great to hear about new ideas and apps for the classroom. I'll be sure to point her in the direction of your blog!
I am in a school in Australia and I am looking at proposing the replacement of Macbook Air's with iPad Pro's. I was hoping to get in contact with a couple of school in the US that are currently using the iPad Pro's, so I can discuss Pros and Cons. Can you help me out?
I really like what you guys are doing. It gives a lot of great insight on how others are using their Apple products. I have one suggestion for you. When your guests, or you, give the name of an app you are using, for your iPhone or iPad, put the name of the app on the screen. Or, even better, overlay the apps page from the app store. It would bring some added production value to your videos. I do a lot of video work and just seeing a still one shot gets a little repetitive. Very informative stuff you are doing. Keep it up. Thanks.
great video and i learn a lot form the video.but i have a question.what will you do if your students want to play game in stead of learning by pad. Can you manage the devices?we want to try something fresh..hah. thank you.
I am so excited I found this video. I taught 1st grade and next year I will be teaching 2nd. For 3 years I have been using the smallest Mac book air and an ipad but I will be loosing the ipad soon. Thank you for the informative video. I love doing everything I can on an ipad or mac book. Hopefully one day the ipad pro too.
Notability is an excellent app and in combination with 'File browser' and the Pencil I simply could not be as well organized as I would be at work. 'Filebrowser for storing all documents and files as well as annotating documents when I need to fill out and distribute forms - I just wish that Apple would allow a MacBook to iPad and not just a iPad to MacBook file management, so it would allow 'File browser' App to show as a directory in Finder/Windows Explorer so as to easily transfer files to and across without the need for iTunes. 'Notebility' I am simply getting more and more use out of it and have started just taking photos with Notability as it easy to illustrate photos and documents and then store them into 'Filebrowser' If you are a notetaker, I highly recommend getting the 'Stylus sling' as it is a cheap attachment that you put on your iPad smart cover as to insert the Pencil. you will then always have your Pencil on hand with your iPad and do not need to put a conscious effort to take it in and out of your pocket. the iPad 12.9 is my favorite device as it is personal and reliable. I currently am typing this with the iPad set up as a dual screen attached to the MacBook via the 'Duet' app/USB connection.

Hey, I have the 9.7 iPad Pro and I’m a college student I was wondering if I could use the iPad Pro for my online class I’m going to have
War Eagle to Craig! I’m an itinerant teacher and fellow Mac nerd. I’m considering making the switch to an iPad Pro. Thanks for sharing. 🙌🏼
I recommend 'Filebrowser' if you wan to store, use network drives and annotate documents.

He’s gonna love iOS 11
Good
Hahahahahha I have stopwatches in my classroom that randomly go off. I think I've finally turned off all the alarms now!!!
Surface Pro is just much better for the classroom than iPad Pro. Hope you make a better choice next time.
