Watch Mr Brooks raise a competency hearing on his behalf to further stall the proceedings.
He’s saying HIS rights have been violated???? HOW ABOUT THE SIX PEOPLE HE MURDERED
It's all about the criminals rights!!! This justice system is a joke I have no respect for it at all!
Sounds like a narcissist.
he still has rights
@@treysmith7344 correct! The right to ROT behind bars! The Right to burn in hell! The Right to be treated like the monster he is in jail.
@@iffyangel3380 the right to rot behind bars man smh... im not saying what he allegedly did is right but he do still have rights
“A gentle tongue can break a bone.” This judge is phenomenal with a huge heart.
This was one of my favorite moments during the case. I love seeing him cry for real for himself totally uncontrollable he’s not used to not getting his way. They gave me true pleasure
Same here, very satisfying indeed.👌
Absolutely. Haha
💯
She's not flattering him. She's commenting on his competency. Very clever.
I thought she was low key letting the DA know that he's not a dumb as he seems. Just putting them on game.
@rosalynjeffery9510 she was putting it on record that he seems competent. Just in case he tries to appeal in future on those grounds.
He sure isn't crying for the victims that's for damn sure.
Exactly
Jackson Sparks, 8; Virginia Sorenson, 79; LeAnna Owens, 71; Tamara Durand, 52; Jane Kulich, 52; and Wilhelm Hospel, 82. These are the lives lost from this brutal attack. Many many more were injured and affected.
Where else on this earth can a murderer pretend he's a lawyer and turn a court room into a preschool?
thats a damn legitimate question ⁉️ when will this end?! i feel it's a huge insult towards the deceased and their families.
Everywhere you have white women. Nowhere else tolerates this nonsense.
Can't speak for other countries but it's permitted in England and Wales. Some legal and constitutional principles in the US originate from the UK.
The judge is exhausted. Please take a long vacation after this ma’am! You deserve it.
Same goes for the court reporter.
@@geoffpoole483 YES 👍🏽!!!
i think she had the eye drop murder trial almost immediately
The judge has the patience of a saint, this man is nuts.

@@Unknown_Ooh thanks for the information
His mother indicated that

It's worse than dealing with a toddler
A twisted , demonic soul ! 🧟🤬🤬🤬🤬😡🙈
And people putting up with this murderer’s behavior all his life is why he’s on trial now. He deserves the death penalty!
Agreed 👍💯
You can tell his mother did not raise him the right way. She just let him run loose and he even thought that he could do the same thing in a courtroom. He had no respect for authority at all.
Hats off to this judge ... 💪👍... what a pain in the ass ...
The judge is guiding this guy as he ties the rope around his neck… almost literally. What i don’t get is how the thug gets a final chance to harass his victims by deposing them himself. He did threaten his ex-girlfriend by insinuating she should get kicked out from the women’s shelter she was in, likely because of his abuses.
@@monkeywrench1951 That's the constitution for ya.
His Constitutional rights? What about the murdered people's rights?
This judge has been incredibly professional and patient with Mr. Brooks. She deserves much praise. Mr. Brooks has been an absolute nightmare to de with.
The puke is crying for himself not because he is sorry for his actions, he is a monster. He is crying for poor DB.
I agree. He realized at that moment that he was not going to be able to bullshit his way out of it which is what he has done his whole life. He is just another pedophile and killer and he will rot in prison forever.
I think he is crying because he may be overwhelmed at the respect that the judge is giving him. He is a fairly smart guy, and it's sad that he did not choose to get his education and do something with his life. He chose abuse and murder instead.
Smart? Killing people, being a murderer is far from being smart
I believe you're right. How did he get to this point in his life, I'm wondering.
Yes, I feel it's sad his life ended up this way. He is a real threat to society and he willfully mowed down innocent people. He must stay in jail.
No he’s not overwhelmed….. he’s crying because he’s not getting his way.
I'm sorry but this man is nowhere near "smart." You have to see the entire trial and I bet my left leg you'll have changed your mind on that theory 😅😂
This is why we need to update certain laws and procedures. No way in hell should someone like this be allowed to represent themselves. This makes a mockery of the whole case. He knows this and just wants to make good TV.
💯
Why not? He's been deemed competent like 4 separate times. He's doing all of this by choice, let him dig his hole
Agree 👍
@@mkxv just because you can doesn't always Mean you should. Then when he gets convicted he is going to waste more tax dollars because he has no clue what he is doing.
Unfortunately the police did not shoot him dead upon arrest, but we now must treat him as not guilty and allow him the right to question whoever he wants or then we are as bad as him. This will be over soon. He won't be getting out alive.
I think Mr. Brooks broke down because the judge, who is amazingly patient by the way, complimented his conduct and mental abilities.
Poor baby had a woman tell him what to do and then forced him to follow through on it. 😢
Big cry baby
HE THOUGHT HE HAD SOME POWER
That is pure frustration because he is not getting his way.
His life ended up this way because he didn't have the kind of parenting the judge is giving him now. He's not used to receiving encouraging words which is why it affects him. He sees other people as threatening and he is always at war with them. I feel bad that he ended up this way because of things in his childhood that were out of his control. Unfortunately, he cannot be changed at this point and his actions demand that he is confined and separated from society for the rest of his life.
This was an accurate and insightful comment. Thank you.
Exactly
Excellent insight. Bang on.
She really is being a good stern mommy ain’t she😂
I love this woman.
Well said!
My favorite part of trial. Crying for yourself not the victims
This judge has shown amazing patience!!
@@3929stef so are the brain cells
She must have her own children lol
@@NaughtyAutie I was thinking that! Definitely teenagers 🤣
You don't like the defendant. So the judge's required patience is amazing to you. Thankfully you'd never qualify to be a judge.
I'm going to check back in 2024 to hear the verdict. At this pace, this is going to be the longest, most frustrating trial.
This judge deserves a medal!
He should save those tears for shower time.
To me it is very clear that he is crying because he feels flattered by the positive words from the judge. He doesn't seem to realize that he is acting completely insane and unruly. He either doesn't realize that or he is doing this whole thing on purpose for ulterior motives.
That too and what I see is his crying is because he did all that hard work for nothing, reality is crashing down now to him. It's a really bad sight to see when someone is always digging a hole for themselves, but won't listen.
she’s smart. the way to deal with people like that is to be kind and uplift… it’s like being a teacher with a kid who acts up in class.
Oh he knows exactly what he's doing! He's making a mockery of the entire procedure.
I’m going with the latter.
He's playing everyone for a fool. He knows exactly what he's doing. Claiming he's a "sovereign citizen" when there's no such thing should tell everyone that he knows exactly what he's doing and is in control of himself.
I would’ve given anything to see these officers jack this thug up. He’s sitting there looking like he was just violated. Now he knows how his victims felt like when he violated them. To him, his tears stem from him foolishly believing the judge is giving him praise on how he’s conducting himself. In reality, she is putting on record that he has the ability to conform to basic courtroom etiquette and his ability to successfully represent himself. Again, removing any doubt that his choice to represent himself was made deliberately, voluntarily, competently, and coherently.
This judge needs a MEGA MEGA PINT 😂 omg I can’t with this one
The judge is doing a good job at being both firm whilst also diplomatic with Darrell Brooks here, I'm impressed by how well she is handling it.
this trial is a riot. I've been following it everyday.

@@regalgs51 ha … thanks
He thinks he’s so smart while he’s digging his own grave.
Respect, and the truth is some thing that Brooks never capable of. Neither are in his DNA .
The judge is a saint. Incredibly patient with this db.
He knew it was negative this was just a stall tactic.
How can you have constitutional rights yet be a sovereign citizen😒?
My heart goes out to these poor families. It's bad enough theyve been traumatized and suffering from the loss of their loved ones. Now they have to sit, watch and listen to this COWARD as he performs this act. This pisses me off.😡
This judge doesn't mess around. He has purposely done everything to keep justice from moving forward!
The judge says he's fine.
Actually, this is the opposite of a judge who doesn't mess around. This is a fairly new judge, and I think she just hasn't had to deal with someone like Brooks yet. She needs to put her foot down and take control of her courtroom. She's allowing him to make a joke out of this case.
A true highlight of this whole debacle. Seeing this man child braking down and crying, for the whole world to see, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
When a judge's patience turns into something else, we are that close.
So now he's shown how competent he can be he's not going to get any slack from now on.
How can someone who says they don’t believe in common law then say his constitutional rights are being violated? Surely one can’t follow the other. This trial is crazy.
🤷♀️
Why doesn't this guy just admit he is guilty and accept the punishment like a man.
I have to be honest, I was so upset with how he was reacting in court, and am so disgusted at the crimes he has committed, but watching him weep, unable to catch his breathe, makes me very empathetic and left to wonder what his childhood must have been like. We are all humans with certain necessities, and one of the very basic needs is to be loved and cared for by our parents. He seems lost and afraid. It doesn’t excuse his actions, but this, to me, looks like someone that is desperate and abused to the core. Very sad for everyone.
I agree, when she was saying the things he had done right, basically giving him praises that’s when he cried, as if he doesn’t hear that often
when his own mother says he's evil who cares what he cries about...cry for his innocent victims instead
He is not behaving this way for no reason. He has learned to behave this way and thinks it's all he has to navigate life. He is an extremely and deeply wounded person. It's so sad that this happens to people and the result can look just like this child locked in a man's body. It can be so hard to get to compassion with a person who has done these kinds of monstrous acts and behaves in this way but it's very important to try. It does not mean condoning such behaviours and there must be external means of containment when a person cannot regulate themselves. I had an NDE where I saw that none of us is ever judged, punished or left behind. We are ALL received at death with complete and total compassionate acceptance and unconditional love for it is who we all are at the core of our true beings. Some just get so disconnected and covered by darkness that they completely forget the light that is there and it leads to what is called evil, though it is not ultimately real in ultimate reality.

As I m watching him cry like a baby, I am wondering if he even thinks about the people he killed.

This guy was doing everything to clearly get a mistrial, he did everything in his power to cause it. Sentence him, and get him in his cell for life.
This judge has her hands full with this clown.
Her hands are tied now...lmao!😂
The best way to deal with this creature is to do everything by law, then sentence him to several lifetimes in jail, so he can't ever get back and claim something was done that shouldn't have been. This judge is doing it beautifully.

Although his crime is serious to say the least, this guy is absolutely laughable !!!
As a judge I would have thrown something at him.
This man looks like he was not raised with any praise. He was soaking up the positive things the Judge was saying about him. So sad he made terrible choices with his life. I wish he had a Mentor to show him a better path.
Little boy Brooksie is not in control and running the show anymore. Probably for the first time in his life. Good!
Darrel, lawyers don’t cry. You wanna play lawyer, buck up.
Poor judge. She doesnt deserve this
I can’t stand this guy. The judge is being way too soft on him. Holding his hand through everything.
Uh oh he's not going to get his way again; temper tantrum coming up. His brain is 3 years old! He knew he didn't have covid!!!
Altercation between Mr. Brooks and the deputies, then she kisses Mr. Brooks ass cuz he was upset ! How upset would he be if 1 of his loved ones where run down by some monster? This is sickening.
Wow... That was tough to watch. Just as a human being, becoming so moved by something complimentary. This does not change the facts of the case, and I'm not saying he's not an evil man. He is... Clearly, there are issues that run so deep, I don't think he'll ever find redemption. I think he'll likely stay angry, bitter, and hateful. But, what I think doesn't set his fate.
He raised the motion the other day because if he was positive for covid they could halt the trial for 10 days he thinks.
That gives him 10 more days to make up more schemes to stall some more.
He knows the test was negative that's why he doesn't want to read the results even though he's the one that demanded the test and demanded the covid situation be acknowledged in his case once he got the results and realized that they were not going to help him he no longer wanted to talk about it.
The problem here is because he raised the situation the judge has to fully examine it otherwise later the case could be thrown out for the judge not finalizing this request that he made
That's why it's such a big deal for both of them it was a big deal for her because if she doesn't finalize this situation it could come back later and cause him to have a whole new trial where he does all of these antics to a whole other judge.
This judge is smart she's not playing his games she's getting her stuff done in a way that he's not going to be able to say later that she was unfair or that she didn't finish anything
This is crazy 🤬
I get why he broke down. Not an excuse or a free pass to liberty whatsoever, but this must have been the first time DB got anything close to compliment. Plenty of men like him out there. He's been a forever criminal, a forever loser. His regret will be his biggest punishment but also his only salvation. I hope he reaches that. Victims and their families could also find some solace in it.
Very Profoundly Spoken ma'am, That's Wisdom and TRuyh. Yes I Hope through this He Finally surrenders and Finds Salvation
This is what happens when every gets a trophy. The way this judge is speaking to him... it's gross he's like a child needing constant gratification and reassurance. This should NOT be allowed.
I know that she has to be patient - but that is a cOMMENDABLE amount of patience
Brooks is finished because he know he will be locked up for good. Brooks doesn’t care but he plays a game in court.
Judge should be replaced with someone who will take charge of the Circus courtroom.
I bet he offs himself at the conclusion of the trial.
No, he's too much of a narcissist. That guy in Florida that killed his children and represented himself hasn't offed himself. They refuse to do the world any favors.
Quite frankly Brooks isn’t a smart person at all
Sadly, prob the first time he’s been praised in his life
The judge needs to be removed for allowing him to represent himself.
Duh-Rell (as he insists on being called) he won’t be able to make it through the trial where he faces the 6 he murdered. During his initial arrangement, he was charged with 5 murders, before arraignment was over 6th victim child Jackson passed away the prosecutors notify judge there would be 6th murder charge, he crumbled during that hearing.
My deepest condolences to all the victims that passed and continued prayers for the injured🙏❤️
I really REALLY don't think he's moved by the judge's saintly kindness. All I've seen so far are signs of traits of a dim-witted, illiterate, narcissist. In that light, it seems to me more likely that he's overwhelmed and possibly feeling defeated as it's clear his nonsense doesn't stick.
So sorry we couldn't see the deputies take those test results from him!!😂 😂
Wow. What a tough case for the judge. Kudos for her patience.
This is trivial. Dismaying how people like you pander.
And now he should be ordered to remove his mask
He’s Hiding from the inmates he will be locked up with because he Knows they Will Kill Him first chance they get
Crying like the toddler he is when he doesn’t get his way
Oh no, he's crying 😭

"your honor, I was crying and no one gave me a tissue"
Those deputies were ready to give that smoke yessssssssss 😅😅😅. Play a stupid game and get a stupid prize 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤬🤬
I can’t stand how much she praises him for simply following the rules of the court at times. If I’m a family member of a victim this would run right through me. She has absolutely no reason to stand up there and tell the court how well behaved he was and how articulate he is. You don’t praise someone for simply doing what he’s supposed to be doing. She would never do that with any other lawyer and rightfully so! I mean come on, oh he’s been semi well behaved for about an hour of the many hours of the trail so far so let’s tell him and everyone in the courtroom or watching at home he deserves to be commended. I swear I think she has a crush on him. I hope the families call her ass out on this crap. It’s a huge slap in the face for them.
There's a reason she's doing it- she is intentionally stating these things for the record so that his motion to appeal the verdict will be denied. The judge is going out of her way to make positive statements for the record to show that he has been given a fair trial. There's a strategy involved with what she is doing.
@@1trumantucker1 that doesn’t make any sense. Again HE decided to rep himself so from that point forward he is on his own. That doesn’t make any judge responsible for walking them through the process of law and procedure. And it DEFINITELY does not require her to talk about how well behaved he has been. There is absolutely no reason you can give me that will justify why she stood up there for 15 minutes saying how well he had been for a couple hours that day. That’s complete bs and it will have no bearing whatsoever on him being able to appeal a verdict. When have you ever heard a defense lawyer or a defendant rep’ing himself bring up the judge not praising them enough or not giving them a law lesson throughout the trial and therefore they have a leg to stand on during an appeal?!?! It just doesn’t happen because it’s not supposed to. A judge is not there to tell a defendant how smart and articulate they are. In fact I would say that she could be accused of being biased in his favor and that is a smack in the face to the families. You truly can’t believe that her talking about how well he had done that day in court will work against him in an appeal! That simply isn’t true and is completely unnecessary for her to do. She’s been extremely fair to him and given him way more leeway then most would when it comes to letting him rambling and ask dumb questions over and over. That on its own is all she has to do with him to ensure he gets a fair trial, and he should be given a fair trial. That does not require her to tell the world he’s the smartest man she’s ever seen. It’s a joke.
Brooks is rude on many levels. No regards for the judge, it doesn't matter what he wants.
He's having a laugh at everyone. He knows he's going down hard so this is just a bit of fun for him.
I wonder how he feels about his rights now that he is never leaving prison! He will never make a decision by himself again in his life time.
Why why why is he allowed to get away with this behavior?
This judge has more patience then i would ever have especially for a pain in the ass like Brooks.
I knew where this was going, he is given loads of chances to save himself and see the real world for what it is. Representing himself isn't the best idea when he killed/injured many. Swallow that pill, no easy/pass go, monopoly here.
This judge is just plain awesome 👌,
This man should never been allowed to represent himself, he was difficult at the hearing.
Haven’t we spent enough money on his case? Seriously, this is ridiculous!
I hope any future appeals are denied based solely on his misconduct during this trial
I keep saying that same thing
This judge must have kids lol
That the judge even has to praise another human being for behavior that should be automatic disgusts me. However I understand why she has to do it. May he rot.
Why does she talk like she's an employer writing him a reference for his good boy behaviour? This judge is crazy, this is literally judicial activism.
This judge needs a 2 week vacation. They should charge Mr. Brooks for this vacation. He's put her through so much
Maybe it's starting to sink in that he is neck deep in a pile of manure and can't just walk out with his courtroom antics.
