- Here is a review on my 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R... I have owned this bike for a few months now and am enjoying every moment with it! I would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying it. This was my first motorcycle, one of my choices before this was the ninja 650 but im so happy that i went with this bike! Not the smartest move I KNOW! ahha This bike looks slick in the all black (Not a fan of the green or blue) and even though its 2008 it keeps up with all the modern day bikes/car looks wise and defiantly speed wise. Its great value for money and being a Kawasaki makes it a very reliable bike. Ive had nothing but good energy when I ride this bike its a great introduction to the 600cc range without paying 6000 plus. I have also crashed it once and the bike held up well just a few light scratches and the rear brake pedal broke but its was not a pricey fix at all and it runs perfectly. Got one.. In candy blue! My first bike too p8f. They're sick and quick. I know what you mean about the over heating in London traffic but goes away after a while. I put k&n filter in mine and it made a big difference. Feel the bike breath better. Faster response.

got my 4th CBT tomorrow and after im doing my direct access, already baught a 2001 zx6r for when i pass..i honestly cant wait pass and get it on the road.

after riding for a good few years and from what I have learned so far, no I wouldn't recommend it at all haha
these bikes will slow down your learning process, and also inspire false confidence thinking you have what it takes to handle one of these bikes and that your a 'good rider'
it can be done obviously cause i done it, but if i could go back then the biggest bike i would've started on is a MT07 and would've also had it restricted for at least 4-6 months

Bit late here but the temperature thing will be normal, first time I had my GSXR 600 out, got back into the drive and the temp was 99, watched it go up to 103, panic'd and shut the engine off, turns out the fan cuts in at 105, seems really hot (it felt hot) but completely normal.

I need help deciding! I’m split between an 06 Sv1000s with 9k miles for $3,500 OR an 08 Kawasaki zx6r with 3400 miles for $4,300. Might sound like a no brainer but I need some opinions.
08 zx6r all day in my opinion thats just what I prefer I love the ninja zx6r I dont like the SV models at all but everyones differnt... let me know which one you do get in the end! but like I sad zx6r looks 1000x nicer to me even being 12 years old still looks real nice next to all the latest models its a unique bike a lot of people have told me they love the 07-08 zx6r etc I get a lot f compliments on owning it
TWisY the zx6r was such a steal someone beat me to it... it was sold within 4 days of being posted. Ah the hunt for my next bike begins again. I’ll let you know what I end up with

Order a jug of engine ice coolant. Will keep the operating temps down around 10-14 degrees Fahrenheit lower. Simple to do and cheap

just got a 2007 zx6r in kawasaki green. before this i had 2002 r6 for my first street bike ( dirt biked my whole life ) and one thing i dont like about the ninja is it seems way harder to work on. the r6 just seemed like i wasnt trying to find some bullshit hex key to do anything. also i bought my zx6r stock and my r6 had full exhaust, different sprocket and chain and who knows what else but i will say the r6 felt faster especially in the low rpms. i cant power wheelie this one for shit. but over all the zx6r like you said is incredibly smooth, the transmission just feels so much better than the r6. im loving mine but i got my eyes on a mt10 in the future
yeh love that! and yeh man I feel you definatly a good bike for the money! Yeh i sat on a 2019 gsxs1000 the other day and it was soooo comfortable and the things rapidddddd pobably real similar to the mt10 thanks for watching the video

Great review. Going to have to stick with my Harley, i don't have enough discipline for sport bike. I go ride my enduro when i want to get after it.
After having ABS brakes on the Harley not sure i could have a street bike without ABS.

Yooo man thanks for commenting check some of the latest content to see the direction I went with riding and why,
And gear wise… it depends on budget, where your from, how you will use the bike etc
But for some beginner gear that won’t break the bank:
- AGV K1 helmet
- RST leather jacket
- RST track tech boots
- Kevlar riding jeans (any brand with good reviews)
- Shorty leather gloves (alpinestars RST or something similar)
This should be good for you to start as you won’t be going crazy on the bike but will also have good protection whilst being comfortable so will help to get more seat time

yes appreciate you checking the channel man were active over here! I paid around 3500 can't remember exact prices think it was a little lower, had 20k miles, 3 previous owners and was in perfect condition with full service record 2 keys and bike was completely stock
its good value for money you could get it private for cheaper but I got mine from a dealer cause it more reliable

Yeh I was P*SSED when i made this video! haha Its because I forgot to unplug the mic from inside my helmet in my cheekpad so thats where it was being recorded from which is why it was so quite lol I planned to have it just recording from the gorpo which would have been more than good enough audio quality but yeh just spaced to unplug the mic... appreciate your support tho man thanks

unless levis make motorcycle jeans like kevlar ones but no i try make sure im in kevlar and im not a big fan of that traditional leather biker jacket i like the race style or like a armored hoodie like what they are making now i think they are cool just not sure how protective they are

3rd gear roundabouts is a bad idea 2nd gear all day, if you can't control the throttle and not light the back tyre up on roundabouts you shouldn't be riding a super sport

Do disrespect but you seem you could be a bit hectic on the bike, ride safe brudda. I'm torn between this exact bike on a 09 plate and a much smaller cbr 500 on a 16 plate. Had a kawasaki zzr 600 on an S plate for 2 years but thought its time for something newer now I've got a bit of experience. Test rode the 500 it seemed slow compared to what I'm used to, but it's alot more economical to run and better for commuting than the ninja, I just feel I'll get bored too quick..... Dilemma!

Id take the zx6r all day but since your be commuting on it im not sure man esecially if your uk? If I needed a bike for everyday use commuting id personally get something like a MT07 cause itl be a lot easier to manoeuvre and be more comfortable. It's funny you mentioned the MT07 as I did consider that since my comment, but I do like full fairing and decided I would probably go with the Kawasaki Er6f (over looked this bike but it seems like it would be much better than the cbr 500). I will definately check out the zx6r though and see how it feels. I'll keep you posted, and yeah I'm only in Bristol so would love to come up for a group ride. Loving the motorbike family!
How tall are you?
5'10 and the bike is a perfect size for me, i can imagine if your over 6 ft then it could get a bit cramped witht he footpegs being so high but thats with any super, thanks for watching and commenting, 4 uploads a week coming after we hit 1000 subs this Friday👊👊

its the 2008 model which is 599 same as the 07 model too, all of them after that are 636 and think the 06 model and before are 636 too thanks for watching and commenting man👊
That may not be true, there were overlapping years, the 636 was first made n '03 (ZX6R), if I remember correctly, and limited 599 were also made (ZX6RR) which meet the racing displacement rules of the time. So point being, you will find '08's of both displacements, the '08 599 was called the special edition.
