Hey Tyler, it's hard to believe that your Jeep has such high mileage. You take excellent care of it, this is proof that regular maintenance will keep your vehicle going for a long time. Thanks for the video!! 👍👍
Following your adventures, just put a new transmission in an '01 I've been driving for 8 years, I'm working to keep this up and starting to feel the draw of adding capability and updating this baby. Just a great vehicle, love the snow-go on this during storms. I really like seeing a pro-view and not just the home enthusiast. Both have great value, but balance is important. Looking to keep my "cheap jeep" on the road (unless I'm keeping it offroad). Thank you for this series!
That didn’t look like a bad job to do… But I could see the difference in the space. Make sure you keep us updated if it worked or not… Love the videos man
Yes with a jack under the engine oil pan. I did have a large block of wood in between the jack and the oil pan so it would distribute the load and not damage the oil pan. Thanks for the view!
Hi Tyler, I bought a Mopar mount (part# 52058929AB) for the driver's side of my 2004 WJ with a 4.0L. In addition to the normal mount there was a large rubber washer that seems to fit around the metal center section. The rubber washer is the same size as the circular portion of the mount. Almost looks like a dust cover. Have you seen this before? Hopefully you know what I'm taking about. What is this for? Any help figuring in out this is appreciated. Keep up the great content :-)

Apparently that rubber won't last forever!
The 4.0 liter will run forever if taken care of. 190k is nothing for these.

Awesome thank you so much for the comment. These old WJ's really are good Jeeps if kept up. Thanks for the view!
That music was pretty chill. It sounded like lettuces
Thanks for the view!
that was cool to see the difference in the old mounts vs a new one
I knew the old ones were bad but it was pretty crazy to see how they were supposed to look compared to the new! Thanks for the view!

It really wasn't too bad, even though I have never replaced a set on a WJ. Thanks for the view as always man!
Nice job. What brand of mounts did you use?
I went with a new set of factory Mopar mounts, I didn't want to cheap out and have the rubber fall apart after a year. Thanks for the view!
@@TylerPotter where did you source the mounts? I’ve been trying to find the mopar ones, but nobody has it in stock
I have the same issue with the rubbing. 175,000 miles on my 21 year old wj
The motor mounts are probably due for a change lol
Yeah mine were pretty tired lol Thanks for the view!
Posso farti una domanda? Ma i supporti sono gli stessi della wj 2.7 crd
Non ho mai avuto modo di lavorare su un CRD ancora. Quindi non sono sicuro. Grazie per la vista!
When raising the engine to get the bolts back in how did you lift the engine ? With jack or a hoist maybe ?

I was thinking of putting the hard plastic mounts in mine, If they don't cause too much vibration. I have to ask Martinbuilt how his came out.
I would be worried that they would cause a lot of vibration. It would be interesting to drive one with them install to see. Thanks for the view!
Fixing the motor mounts should have taken care of the drive shaft clearance
It totally did, I always check after an off-roading trip. Thanks for the view!

Yes I believe that rubber tries to block so of the heat off of the exhaust manifold on the drivers side. Thanks for the view!
@@TylerPotter That makes sense. Thank you very much for the reply!
Thx..
Thanks for the view!
Hey Hello, do you have some video related to a fan clutch upgrade on a 4.0?
No videos on the clutch fan at this time. Thanks for the view!
