Best to use actual break in oil with higher zinc content for break in. Hold off on using synthetic oil for a few changes. It actually lubricates so well that it can prevent the piston rings from seating.
Always best to 'run in' a new generator using a variable light load...... Usually a 10 second timer with 1000 watt load will do the trick :) I use a simple halogen flood light.
You said you did a lot of research before purchasing this model. Did you happen to compare with the Sam’s version 7500 dual fuel. I think it just has a smaller body so holds alittle less gas. I bought the Sam’s model for a few hundred less than the 7250. Got it after hurricane beryl so just ran it for 4 hours on propane to test it out.
@@hoody2141 well, of course it is about personal preference but the way we figured was we were only using the generator sporadically. If we had planned on using it full-time, then we probably would have invested in the mall extra warranties.
how much have you been using this generator? I bought one as a backup for the house last year and havent had to use it at all luckily. seems to be well built enough. I am considering getting a 2nd one and a parallel kit to have 14000w on tap if needed, plus having redundancy if one were to fail, or being able to lend one out etc. 1700 But I havent actually used it in any kind of extended period yet not sure if its worth spending another 1700 haha
Break in on any generator should be done with regular SAE 10W30 oil, or 5W30, and not synthetic and done a few times dueing break in before moving to synthetic. Read the manual.

Does this model or other Genmax models require a periodic valve adjustment?

I'm currently looking at that one. How do you like it so far? Any other uses so far?
@@mikelazok only did a 4hr test. Worked just fine and quiet for home back up
@@acort10 Thanks. I think I'm gonna get it
@@mikelazok so far I’m happy with it. Only double the size of a 2kw unit but triple the capability. I’ll eventually connect an inlet box to my panel.
Look at that handsome devil
Why thank you Ricky
How has it been holding up?
So far it’s great! Very happy with this GenMax. May we ask what your using if anything?
@OverTheHillTravels don't have one yet. Looking to buy the 7250 model
Sounds great! Let us know your review
@OverTheHillTravels did you buy thru Amazon? That's how I'm planning on, wondering if it would be good to purchase the extra 4yr insurance. Thoughts?

Buy the 7500 watt sams club model at $900 and save money. Same basic unit...same warranty.

I'm assuming he filled it all the way up with gas but at 11:52 when the generator is running the gas gauge indicates empty.
That’s because he didn’t fill it up. It was a test run. Thanks for watching!
I put my decibel app on here and got 79Db 😂
Joel can’t even boil an egg much less start a generator
