Thanks all for tuning in this new video, was a lot of work making this TOP 10 Video. Hope it help you all out and you enjoyed the video. Don't forget so join the Gaming Channel ! - ruclips.net/user/thewickedgamernl
I love the shot about 10 seconds into the video with all the systems running games. It's like walking into a tiny arcade. I just recently ordered an LDK Landscape, so I'm looking forward to that.
I have this X16 console and I play Gameboy Color Scrabble on this just about everyday! I absolutely enjoy this handheld console. I have a 512GB SD card installed on mine. I use this for what it's intended for GB, GBC, GBA and NES games along with playing TV shows, movies and music files. I bought a Nintemdo Switch hard case and a tablet stand for this as well. Love the 7" screen and it is bright enough (you can brighten the screen even more in the settings). This particular Powkiddy console has gotten a bad rep because many reviewers expect this console to play GENESIS and SNES probably because of the button layout. Though it can run SNES and GENESIS, it really wasn't designed specifically for that and it runs SNES and GENESIS very poorly. Even the specs for the Powkiddy X16 states it supports only GB, GBC, GBA and NES roms (which is a large enough library of games without the need of more consoles). I actually prefer this Powkiddy X16 over a Nintendo Switch or a PSP! Being a casual gamer that especially loves to play Scrabble. I am able to play Super Scrabble from the GB, Ubisoft Scrabble from the GBC, Ubisoft Scrabble from the GBA, Scrabble Junior from the GBA, Scrabble Blast from the GBA, and Bookworm Deluxe from the GBA. So, that's pretty much 6 Scrabble games to choose between in the library of games available to play on my X16! Between the two Ubisoft Scrabbles available, the GBC version is actually better than the GBA version as well as being more of a challenge (though they are both great games). I can also play movies and music files as well on my Powkiddy X16. I few days ago, I took it to my parents house during a family get together and we all watched a movie with it! I used the AV cable and hooked it to a 55" Sanyo LCD TV using the TV output on the top of the console. Went into the settings and selected TV output (worked like a charm and was clear even though it was composite rather than HDMI). Glad I purchased this and I may just purchase a second one to keep as backup or to store in my locker at work! To me, the Powkiddy X16 is just a n overall great handlheld console.
Really LOVE this concept!! A lot!! This is the best place for these type of system reviews. But next time it would be nice to see the price range along with the system name at the start of each review. Thanks for all your hard work. Videos rock!!
There's also RG-350, RG-350H, PocketGo Plus and potentially LDK V3 coming in the next couple months. You probably have to make an updated video about TOP 10 handhelds in 2019 :)
Because of your channel, Wicked, I proudly own the X16, the Vanzatek tablet, a couple of those X-series MP5 games, PAP KIII Plus, the RS-97 and even the awesome little RetroMini. Can't honestly pick a "favorite" as I developed (or reminded) myself a fondness for these dream machines. They're all with quirks, but for somebody who logged hours on hours with Game Boys or the ilk, it's incredible seeing what's available now. Definitely looking between the LDK, PocketGo & the RG300, but with the 350, I'll just have more fun shopping! 😂😎 Been a great life so far, it'll only get better!! Thanks again & Stay Wicked!! ✌😈
I have a pocket go and a retrogame with the joystick slider. I got the pocket go because I couldn't get retrofw working on the retrogame. The pocket go was deep in back order, I figured out how to get RetroFW running on the retrogame. I kept the retrogame and gave the pocket go to my son. Both are solid platforms, but the retrogame screen was a little easier on the eyes.
@@WickedGamerCollector There are a lot of these devices. But if you buy without priority you'd have to pay a lot in the customs. GPD comes to mind first...BTW do you know GP2X? i have the first version...
The RS97 has no stereo sound output. That is why in my opinion the RG300 is the best Chinese console if you put an IPS screen, which is easy to install. The LDK has no IPS screen, it is a TFT screen, if you look at it from another angle you will see how it loses color.
How about the RG350 I just bought ? What do you think of its quality and playability ? And please also focus on movie, music, and reading documents on them as well.
Nice! Very strange... Your RS-97 anniversary screen is different. It's shiny.. I don't know how to say it in english 'But mine is mat =), not shiny etc.' Screenprotector?
Now you make me curious what your premium or high end top 10 is.... I got a retro-cm3, it is based off a pi cm3 and runs a full retropie build, which is my current fav. Close second is a cfw vita
@@ced214 - Google is ur mom, some of this shit is pretty obscure and hard to find...American products I have no problem with, but the Chinese market is confusing and the naming system makes it difficult to get accurate search results on specific items.
I really want the retro game 2 anniversary but, I can't find it. I have looked on AliExpress, Wish, and the shop that you left a link to, and can not find it.
I'll be honest with you. I was going to get a LDK Landscape but I really like the look of the Retro Game 2 Anniversary. I hope they're still selling them when I can swing the cost lol. Thank you for this comparison!
Is the pocket-go 30fps screen for the newest versions? I heard someone say it was in an old comment. But none of the reviewers I have seen picked up on it. So does it matter that much or is it really 60fps ?
Between the original BittBoy, the BittBoy PocketGo and the XYC, which one is the best to get as my first emulation console? I don't want to spend a ton of money on a console yet, but all these handhelds look pretty cool, and I kinda want one... Too bad I can't afford to buy all of them... :)
For the money, pick up a used PSP and add the easy custom firmware. Another cheap alternative that can handle most classic systems is an Amazon Fire Tablet when they go on sale.
I have a PSP 3000 and it's Still the King of under 60 however, My RS97 is right there with it. So, I would choose my RS97 for on the go tasks and playing it and on a recent trip I found it to be very capable of entertaining me and providing game time whenever i needed it. This is A mature product and it seems to keep getting better. I can only hope they do make it better and keep going on.
Big fan of the RS 97 myself. I've just ordered a Retroflag Gpi case and I would very much like to know how the raspberry pi zero stands up against the hardware in the RS 97. On paper it looks like the RS 97 might be better, but does it work like that in reality? Edit: actually no, the zero is likely slightly better. But I dunno!
DJDanceClassic if you want an RS97 then maybe. I’ve only purchased one to take the screen out to add to my RG-300. I would say that if you want a gameboy form factor device then the RG-300 is great and a good price but most of these struggle on SNES and ps1. If you want a landscape form factor then I would wait a little longer, lots of good devices out soon like the RG-350 which has a better chip and an IPS
Tim de Ville ok, i have almost all of these devices (including wiz, gpx caanoo, gcw zero and an unboxed rg300 hahahaha). Is it easy to swap the screen of this one with the rg300 screen?
DJDanceClassic from what I’ve read, yes but my rg97 is still in the post. I really love my RG-300 apart from the screen isn’t great. I’ve taken mine apart and the ribbon cable is a little fiddly but not too bad. You just swap the screens over and then use a cfw in the RG-300. Hopefully mine will be here next week
