As far as coconut oil, I’d say user beware, because if you have a certain type of oily acne-prone skin that is triggered by hormonal fluctuations, then coconut oil can aggravate those breakouts. I didn't use it on skin but i did on hair and over about two months i saw my hair changing colour and always felt dry, as i switched oils my hair colour slowly came back towards the roots and my hair absorbs better
Yes, that’s right. Actually I’ve used it the same way as Rachel, and also as a mask for my hair, and even though I rinsed it, it still affected me in a negative way. Nevertheless, I have friends who also love it, so it’s a risk you have to take if you’re really into it.
So sorry you had to go through such a horrible experience! Thanks for sharing it, hopefully it can help anyone else who may have had a bad experience with it. Luckily for me the coconut oil has been working well on my face for a while now ❤️
Everybody's skin will react differently to skin care products. Just use products that works for your skin type. I use coconut oil on my skin (including my face & hair) every night and my skin is flawless (natural glow). I get a lot of compliments on my skin and I don't use any wrinkle creams or other lotion, beside Avenno lotion in the morning. Btw, the brand of coconut oil also makes a difference. I would highly encourage you to try Tea Tree facial wash from The Body Shop, which I been using over 15 yrs and see if that helps.
Thanks for this. I know I am a bloke but I am over 50 and moisturise my face everyday to keep skin hydrated. But the products are chemically so I found this vlog very interesting and helpful. I don't wear make up but a night routine would be good so even that part was helpful.
I am soo happy I came across this video. I am pregnant and dealing with acne, dry skin and also wanting to keep things as natural as possible. This routine has transformed my skin (minus the salicylic acid)!! Thank u, thank u, thank u. Also, you are absolutely stunning.
Loved this video Rachel! Been waiting ages for it. I stand with you in agreement that natural products for the face and body actually work wonders. Since I’ve cut out all the synthetic products from my skin care routine in the past 2-3 years my skin has been flourishing! Natural living for the win!
Dymond Bihh Honestly, I had to go Vegan to get my skin/oil under control. Diet & microdermabrasion sessions. Mario Badescu foaming cleanser, Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin enzyme mask/scrub and finally Mario’s drying mask. But ABOVE all, I had to change my diet and incorporate water ONLY!! I’m a baller on a budget so if you’re like me a diet change maybe the cheapest solution. Good luck 💕
Katy Laye Diop Katy its a really great oil to use for cooking and maybe even the moisturizing of the body but I’d keep it away from my face. Especially if you’re oily or have acne prone skin.
@@dymondbihh6476 Use 100% aloe vera gel!! It fades scars & will moisturize without being oily at all. I apply it while my face is still wet after washing (it can tend to dry sticky if you apply it on a dry face) and has been working wonders. I got mine at target, huge bottle for like 6 bucks
I've literally watched this video so many times! I have been battling acne for about 5 years now and I really believe it is due to bacteria and clogged pores. I have tried all drugstore products and none of them worked for my skin, so I decided to switch to all natural products. The natural products have help me manage my skin better, but they haven't completely cleared and taken away all of the hyper-pigmentation I have. I am definitely going to give the glycolic acid toner and salicylic acid solution from The Ordinary a try! Could you please do a vegan body care routine as well! I battle with a lot of chest and back acne. Also, you have really inspired me change my diet to being a vegan, so I am definitely going to give it a try as well. LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos.
Do you know why you get acne? Im guessing youve had all the hormone blood tests, is it acne? Or is Eczema? Are you sure you are not allergic to anything? Food. What kind of dietcare you on?
Doreen Patterson I have acne! Due to a combination of these such as genetics and diet. My acne has gotten tens times better over the pass 6 months because I made changes in my life once I realized what was causing my acne.
Thank you for sharing sis! Also, if you want reusable cotton pads, I've been using the Rainbow Rovers bamboo velour cotton pads, and loving them; they come with hair ties and a little laundry bag so you can easily toss them in with your laundry when it's time to wash them :) And if you want biodegradable vegan makeup wipes, The Body Shop makes these great Tea Tree Skin Clearing wipes as well. Hope this helps!
I struggle a lot with acne on my back and neck, and have quite a bit of scaring. I would love to see how you cleared yours, its hard to find a natural routine. Thank you so much! I love your channel !!
Great routine, but don't forget the neck. The neck and hands are the places that can give up your age if you're trying to do any anti-aging skin routine.
Racheal Prempeh i havent tried it but i know some people do! i like hemp or argan because they are 0 on the comodegenic scale so no chance of clogging pores!
I swear by The Ordinary Glycolic acid toner, it cleared my skin texture literally within two weeks of using it and I also love the fresh aroma of it. I will ALWAYS use it.
@@62rads Vitamin E. Evening primose oil. Just get the capsules and pierce it. One should last for two goes. Raw cocoa butter. Avocado oil, olive oil and macadamia oil. @@62rads Well I suffered from horrible scarring and spent alot of money I didnt have trying to get rid of it. It started to get better when I started to listening to my body. Coconut oil was everywhere. Once I stopped drinking the kool aid and stopped using all hair products with coconut oil my hair started growing. Not all black skin is oily. Some black skins are dry. Once I started using things like avocado oil and rosehip oil etc which you can use on both your face and hair. Alot of these oils you can buy them cheaply. If the avocado or coconut doesn't work, well you can pour it over your salad!
Doreen Patterson perfect I need to get Some oil For my skin to get rid of the pigmentations and yes I agree about coconut oil it Made my hair dry I now use naptual85 range

I am literally buying all of these products on amazon right now! I feel like I have been letting my skin down the past years mostly because I felt bad about non-vegan / non-natural products and my skin really needs some good care. I will give this a try, if my skin gets even half as good as your's I'll be really happy :) xx
So I know I’m about 2 yrs late but I can crochet you some reusable cotton pads! Love this video! I woke up this morning and was so inspired to start my skin care regimen!! Great info and you are radiant!
try weledas skinfood moisturizers!!! I would also say explore some of the alpha hydroxy acids from the ordinary such as the lactic acid, mandelic acid, or even the aha/bha peel system. They will be anti aging, proactive in correcting skin concerns, and preventative. :)
If coconut AND jojoba oil breaks you hempseed oil is very high in linoleic acid, which is good for fighting acne and did not break me out at all even if used as a moisturizer and also helped with my acne.
When I first became vegan I started off raw my skin went crazy, I'm not sure if cooking the food helps but it's very common for some people to have horrible breakouts. I started cooking my food and it became so much better.
This is such perfect timing!! I have been struggling with my skin lately, even though before it was always pretty clear. Thanks for the advice tho rachel your skin is always glowing and looks perfect! ❤❤
Loved this Rach! I'm also using salicylic acid (Sunday Riley UFO) and still getting lots of spots, I'm soldiering through as I've heard like yours that it's just the purging/detox stage! Praying it works for me too, your skin is gorge x
Along with being vegan, not consuming sugars, wheat and flour have totally cleared up my face. Also the first thing I drink every morning is hot water with lemon or lime juice. I wash my face with a tea tree soap from Jason and I moisturize with a tea tree cream from Era Organics. I hardly ever wear make up. I also heard a skin skin specialist say to wash your face for a 60 giving the product enough time to do the work it needs. I've noticed a massive difference in just 3 days (actually less) of doing this. I'm going to try a seams mask next since it has 97 vitamins that your body needs.
1st 🤗 ....TFS! It's always great when you find products/regimen that is effective. After several trials and errors I've finally found a great face regimen!
I’m hoping to go vegan in the new year because of you. I think it’ll do wonders for my skin, body and hair. Where do you get your hair done? It’s beautiful and I want to have a similar style done in the new year. Love your videos ❤️
Thank you for this! I'm vegan too and I've just been given a prescription cream by the doctors and I hate it! It's obviously not cruelty free (which hurts my vegan soul) and it dries out my skin but the spots and scars are still there. I've been googling like crazy and this is the most helpful video I've come across. As another youtuber I felt like a hypocrite talking about vegan beauty while using this cream. Thank you! Also you're absolutely gorgeous.
Wow , I love this video so much! I was planning on just getting the glycolic acid alone for my acne scars but I will also try the salicylic acid along with it too!
For reusable cotton pads, buy a package of baby diapers (nappies?) and cut them into small squares. You will prob have to zigzag stitch around the edge so you can wash them (maybe in a delicates pouch).
Thank you for sharing, Rachel! I am gonna try this. Been looking for a skin care regimen. I already have most of these items! Appreciate you very much!
Was just diagnosed with alpha gal (it's a disease which is from a lone star tick, they get it if they bite certain mammals) I can't eat any red meat nor any dairy. I almost have to go vegetarian because of it (plus I'm picky) so hopefully this will help :D
Yeeeeh am so happy for this video.. thanks for sharing. Nice. Am happy you find this solution. Try detoxing drinks too and you can also rub the aloe Vera plant.. the gel area on your face. Another good video. 👍
Love Lush in general including angels on bare skin and separately Rosehipseed oil.. Used these for a while too ! defo trying the ordinary Salicylic Acid now.. although I wouldn't recommend their coffee eye serum, doesn't do much apart from burns and gave me spots near eyes which I never get :)
maddie loud She is pretty but DON'T EVER COMPARE YOURSELF to anyone else. We're ALL beautiful and it's VERY important to LOVE YOURSELF and FIND THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF to love!
Yes, music, editing, information on point. I do love the (german based?) brand alverde, they do have some lovely affordable scincare. Please do a make up and body care routine, would be really interested!
I know that you have had great result from coconut oil but if I might add coconut oil s highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people.
You are absolutely beautiful your hair is gorgeous you look like the ray of sun in the light that is reflecting from it my God I will definitely take advice from you you are exemplifying your advice in the physical manifestation that's peace
I suffered with cystic acne last year, very painful and embarrassing for me at the time as my skin was always so perfect. what worked for me was colonic cleansing and diet changes. drinking Neem juice and tea and using Neem face cream. and alleviating stress from my life. For Scarring i take L Lysine supplements daily Now i rarely get spots. And you cant really tell that i ever had such bad Acne.
Hey, thank you for this video! Can you tell us about your hair routine, like which shampoos do you use etc. Thank you so much, love your channel you’ve been a lifesaver! xx
I honestly believe no suscreen will be Organic or natural there will be some type of chemical in it. I use Josie Maran it has ArgN oil in it but theres chemicals in it to just not as much
I don't know any great sunscreen, but I do live in Germany, so you may find some in your country! You should definitely use something without suff like octocrylene and parabens, etc. because they do cause cancer (look it up) and THEY AREN'T REEF SAFE which I as a vegan find really important
hey Rachel! I'm completely new to your channel and I really liked this video! Thank you so much for the coconut oil tip! I acutally have coconut oil at home and NEVER thought of using it on my skin!!!! This is so great because I want to use vegan skincare products since I am already using vegan hair products! Thanks again for this video :-) Much love from Germany xoxo Alix B.
Hey lovely, GREAT video! Thank you so much for sharing. I love your videos and personality. You're so silly and always dancing. Such positive energy. What brand of essentials oils do you use?
I mean, if I did even half of that to my face, it would get so mad at me I'm not sure it would ever recover. High pH soap? Coconut oil? Three types of harsh physical exfoliation? And combined with chemical exfoliation? My sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin is cowering just thinking about it.
I'm on a contraceptive pill and have been for many many years because I get serious break outs. A few months ago I trialed coming off it but after 2 months I gave up because my skin was so bad. I don't wear much make up (no foundation at all) and always wash my hands before touching my face but even with these good habits I still suffer (when off the pill). When I was a teenager the only product that worked for me was proactive which contains the acne fighting ingredient salicylic acid.
Love the video! I have one question, after you've applied the two solutions at the end, do you then smear out the rose hip oil? Won't it smear the solutions out of it's place? Especially the salicylic one, since you're putting it on one spot? I really want to buy these products now :D
Is nobody gonna talk about how beautiful she is?!!
I do it on every video she uploads!❤️💚😁
Inside and out!

Very beautiful girl. .excellent skin Thank you

Just a suggestion, I read an article by a lady with quite extensive experience in skincare (like PhD in cosmetic chemistry sort of experience) who suggests that you use creams/lotions before oils as the oils trap the water in the moisturizer in the skin after absorption leading to better overall hydration levels in the skin. I've been misting with a rose water toner, followed by a cream in the evenings, allowing it to absorb fully and then applying a few drops of oil. I no longer wake up with oily patches from using oil and my skin is looking much much better these days. Just wanted to share :)

You are so radiantly beautiful! Thank you so much for this video and products.
I’d love to see a body care video as well you have such amazing skin😭💕
I love your attitude
Thank you for sharing, Rachel! I am gonna try this. Been looking for a skin care regimen. I already have most of these items! Appreciate you very much!
Thank you for the video but could write down all the products pleaseeeee
The vegan life style includes natural beauty as well. Well done!
I'm loving everything about this video! I'm having problems with my skin right now and this is just perfect! thank you so much! 💜
The citrus soap from dr bronner helps with dark spots :) and the peppermint one with breakouts (i heard)
Hey Rachel, what's the name of the dreadlocks you have on. It's so beautiful and most of all very natural looking. It suits very well.
Big fan of rose hip for sensitive skin. Lately been getting breakouts due to stress.
I love your videos gurl!
Glad I can use these products being a woman of color!!!🥰🥰
Love Lush in general including angels on bare skin and separately Rosehipseed oil.. Used these for a while too ! defo trying the ordinary Salicylic Acid now.. although I wouldn't recommend their coffee eye serum, doesn't do much apart from burns and gave me spots near eyes which I never get :)
Loved this!! What are you doing for your body, for skin care? Like what soap you use to wash your body and lotions used 😊
another great video ! ugh, why i can't be so beautiful like you, greating from poland xoxo
maddie loud She is pretty but DON'T EVER COMPARE YOURSELF to anyone else. We're ALL beautiful and it's VERY important to LOVE YOURSELF and FIND THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF to love!
maddie loud so
Because you’re beautiful like you 💕
Great to have an insight into your routine and products that you’ve been using! :)
Your channel is super inspiring and genuine! :)
Yes, music, editing, information on point. I do love the (german based?) brand alverde, they do have some lovely affordable scincare. Please do a make up and body care routine, would be really interested!
Awesome tips. Have you tried charcoal+Indian healing clay+ applecider vinegar as a deep cleansing mask?
You’re so pretty and have a wonderful personality wow ily you’re cool teach me your wayssss
Thank you! 💜Very informative! I will love to see the body skincare routine too!
I did this whole routine before watching this video 🤣 thank you for proving my theory that coconut wash is GREAT 💕
I love Rosehip oil too! Makes my skin so soft.
I know that you have had great result from coconut oil but if I might add coconut oil s highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people.
i love it and you Rachel! IDK but most skin care experts put oil after moisturizer bc it is the lightest.
I love all your videos especially the food ones. Great work!
You are absolutely beautiful your hair is gorgeous you look like the ray of sun in the light that is reflecting from it my God I will definitely take advice from you you are exemplifying your advice in the physical manifestation that's peace
Lovely video! Can we use any Dr.Bronner's liquid soap? I think I have a lavender allergy..
What sunscreen do you use? I've been struggling to find one that doesn't make me break out. I love your videos 💕
Body care please!!! your skin is amazing. What is your favorite spf?
Hey, thank you for this video! Can you tell us about your hair routine, like which shampoos do you use etc. Thank you so much, love your channel you’ve been a lifesaver! xx
i want to see you try vegan french skincare products!!!!!
Hi Rachel! I know I’m a few years behind (LOL) but if it isn’t a huge inconvenience will you show us how to make your body butter?
Thank you! I have added the coconut oil to my face regime 🙌🏾✨
Omg I requested this ahhh tysm love this!😍😍😫❤️
❤️❤️❤️
What sunscreen do you use? I would like an organic sunscreen.
I honestly believe no suscreen will be Organic or natural there will be some type of chemical in it. I use Josie Maran it has ArgN oil in it but theres chemicals in it to just not as much
AnnaBanana3355 coconut oil
I don't know any great sunscreen, but I do live in Germany, so you may find some in your country! You should definitely use something without suff like octocrylene and parabens, etc. because they do cause cancer (look it up) and THEY AREN'T REEF SAFE which I as a vegan find really important
Jasons.
New to your channel and I absolutely fell in love with you. Omg. 😍😍 love the channel and yes I'm. Vegan. I watch while at work. Love it.
Your skin looks amazing! :) Thanks for the tips
I love u!! I love your channel! Inspiring myself on my journey look forward to copping the book when it arrives on my door step ✊🏾🤙🏾
Hey lovely, GREAT video! Thank you so much for sharing. I love your videos and personality. You're so silly and always dancing. Such positive energy.
What brand of essentials oils do you use?
I bought the whole skincare recommendations. Thank you! What do you think of rose oil for the skin ( face)? x
Yeah it probably varies person to person because I do all of this but with a different soap, and my skin is better than ever.
I cant even focus on what she's saying 😍😍😍😍 but i got the message and took notes
You’re glowing darling! I love how natural your routine is but what skin type do you have bc I find that using oils can be a little tricky.
What vegan sunscreen would you recommend? Thanks for the vid!
This is so affordable and I have most of these things already. I hope this works for me ❤️
Love the video! I have one question, after you've applied the two solutions at the end, do you then smear out the rose hip oil? Won't it smear the solutions out of it's place? Especially the salicylic one, since you're putting it on one spot? I really want to buy these products now :D
Loved it. Please do a body care routine and an updated makeup routine. Thanks :)
