Yeah I had to drop RF5 as well; the choppy frame rate was giving me motion sickness every time I turned the camera - such a shame, as I really enjoyed 4S, and was looking forward to an ambitious, fully-3D redesign
Hi Miss Bubbles, we feel sorry to let you feel bad about My Time at Sandrock on NS, but there was a major update for NS (V1.2.2) on March 26th to solve the problems you mentioned (Frame rate, graphics and UI). If you still have problem on V1.2.2, we are happy to help. Thanks for your attention.❤
Hello! Always happy to chat with you ☺️ as I mentioned in the video, I tried the new update but there's still frame rate drops which are inducing my motion sickness when playing on Switch. So I'm still prioritizing playing on PC!
@@MissBubbles 😖Could you tell us when and where you have the frame rate drops? You know we never abandon our NS players and always want to improve your gaming experience. You valuable feedback will definitely help us better change the game! Cheers❤
@@mytimeseries the frame rate drops are in the open world especially when gathering resources or simple running and moving the camera around. Do you think with the new updates the movements can become smoother? Also, will cross saves be available between different consoles by any chance?
@@MissBubbles Thank you for the feedback! We'll look into the issues you mentioned and explore potential solutions. Regarding cross save, it's complex to implement (most games on the market don't have it, and even games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 created a dedicated video about implementing it). Additionally, our game still has many areas for improvement (such as the issues you've encountered), so we won't be considering it for the time being, sorry about that. And could you please provide more details about the movements you're dissatisfied with? We're keen to hear your thoughts on this.
@@mytimeseries that's understandable! And yes, the camera movements in general when I'm out in the open world, when I move the camera left and right, most times it's not smooth, thus causing motion sickness (unlike PC where it's very easy on the eyes to rotate the camera)
thanks so much Miss Bubbles and Emily Introducing me to your channel, this information is very interesting/important to a physical collector like me. I want most if not all my games be as much on Disk/Cartridge as much as possible. Cause i know, especially with recent shops closed down, how important is to get best patch on physical media.
Fantastic lists! I feel fortunate I was able to get Child of Light physically on Vita, since for a long time that was the only way to actually own it. Hopefully it'll get a reprint soon. And I'll also concur that Ni no Kuni II is fantastic as a game (I played it on PS4), kind of a bummer to hear about the Switch problems. (Not that I would ever play on anything but Normal, though, tbh.)
Did not realize the dual pack of Child of Light and Valiant Hearts went up that much in price. I swear I just bought it at my local game store for $40 a couple of months ago
I stopped playing Potion Permit because for some reason, the diagnostic mini game was malfunctioning. So I would hit the right button, but it would show as a miss no matter what. I really loved playing the game before I ran into this glitch. Has anyone else experienced it??
I am so happy seeing Monster Hunter Stories 2:Wings of Ruin and Rune Factory 5 on here. I really enjoy both and was so happy when I called the twist in Rune Factory 5. Also love that The Cruel King and the Great Hero is on here. One of my friends who I used to go to church with actually works at GameStop and kindly recommended the Storybook version when I saw a physical copy in the store. Very grateful to her, it's one of the best purchases I've made. Another one I would personally suggest is Ni No Kuni:Wraith of the White Witch. From my experience it runs very well physically in docked mode and is such a good game. I've only played it in docked mode so I don't know how it runs in handheld mode though.
Dragon quest builders 2 is such a fun game, skipped over it at first thinking it looked bad but i was wrong. Have played through it multiple times and I’m sure i will again. I’m probably immature but i always find the line to the bathroom in that game hilarious
I love Dragon Quest Builders 2 so much even though I couldn't finish it due to switch lag! I loved it so much I bought it 3x. I got it full price digitally on switch then got a used physical for switch and bought the expansion dlc twice to play with my partner. Unfortunately, due to the unbearable bugs and lag on switch after the second island, I couldn't finish it. Now I already bought a physical PS4 copy to play on my PS5! I'm looking to finish it this time.
Saw this video mentioned on the Doesitplay Discord. Always nice to see more physical media fans out there! The performance in Rune Factory 5 also disappointed me a lot. The last cozy games I played were probably the Rhapsody RPGs. It feels like at least one game in each of the NIS Classic collections had really bad bugs but Rhapsody was pretty good. I haven't played the new ones though.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is so much fun! Playing it on the normal difficulty (which most people consider as easy) is really satisfying for me. I also don't need to think on that difficulty which is nice. Just beware...when you play you won't notice the time flying by
It sucks because I had to get Dragon Quest Builders 2 used because it was hard finding a new copy. I think a recent issue with games is them not printing enough copies.
(10:54) I’m going to be serious be honest with u I never avoid a game that run terrible on Nintendo Switch but I always enjoy playing it even it is will running on Nintendo Switch & I always believe in to myself & my Nintendo Switch no matter what & if I ever played my time at sandrock on Nintendo Switch i know deep in my heart that this game will run good on Nintendo Switch no matter what & I’m only here for experience of the game & healing doctor fang broken heart & that’s it & I saw a lot of video of this game when I see fang crying during the confession cutscene with the player that actually hurt my heart & made me cry & I was feeling completely feel so bad for him every single day now & he was been through so freaking much after his mother passed away when he was a little kid & he was not the only one who losing a family member because my grandma passed away last year on Sunday November 26 2023 two weeks after my 23 birthday & it was very hard for me to keep moving forward without my grandma not around anymore right now & i know deep in my heart that my grandma is now in heaven watching over me in my heart & in heaven no matter what & seeing fang feeling so sad after his mother passed away in that game I knew that I’m not the only one going through a hard time by myself😔💔😭
Glad I picked up Child of Light Double Pack on sale, Emily 😁 Didn't know anything about it and still on the backlog 😅, now since you're talking about it, I'll make some time to try it 😊 Have a nice day, Emily (and Bubbles too)
Unfortunately, Dragon Quest Builders 2 doesn't run all that smooth on switch. It does run great at first, but after the second Island - it lags so much that it's almost impossible to play. The lag also makes it so that sometimes, rooms won't be registered as a certain room despite meeting the room requirements. I heard the PS4 version still gets laggy by the last main story island - I'm not sure if it's completely fixed on PS5, but I definitely recommend getting it on PS5 instead. It's only also 2-3gb.
thanks for the great video! i had no clue about RF5 and ni no kuni 2, which are both games I have in my collection already actually - i guess in fuure i should make sure to check about bugs and performance issues haha
Someone in the comments said Nino Kuni is running well, and I was okay with RF5's performance (not the best but was okay with it). So remember to always check multiple opinions!
couple things, 1 i tried multiple times to get into RF 5 on switch but i couldnt stand the performance issues which gave me a headache each time, ni no kuni 2 i have played on switch and its not bad but its rough on the world map
I crossed my fingers to see if Atelier Marie would be in there, suffice to say I wasn't dissapointed. Wonderful collab from both you and Emily did! Also I truly resonate with when you're not doing Englishing, trust me I struggle to sometimes know what I even say lmao 🤣
Good video but I am surprise with your comment about Ni No Kuni 2, bought the game last month and still playing it (physical) and I always dodge in combat, I dont feel any input lag at all. The witcher 3 has more input lag, or maybe just design choice that makes Geralt felt heavy in his movement. Either way very surpise.
I bought Ni No Kuni 2 physical for $20 so I’m pretty satisfied with it despite its shortcomings. It’s queued in the double digits of my backlog but I’m looking forward to it. 🍻
Gotta be honest, I'm not really into DQ or Dragon Ball artstyle - in fact I avoided DQ games for the longest time because of the artstyle. But I like Minecraft so DQB2 really caught my eye and I'm so glad it did! It's my first dive into DQ games. I got DQXI because of DQB2. Really hoping they give us DQB3 sooner or later.
@@MissBubbles Same! I got DQ Treasures too because of DQB2 😂 Kind of interested to get DQ Monsters The Dark Prince too when it goes on sale down the line. All because of DQB2
STOP! Before you buy a physical copy of ANY game - CHECK THE GAME IS SEALED. If it is not sealed at the counter, reject it immediately! DO NOT buy second hand games or games that do not have a seal! Currently cartridge cloning hardware may have been in use.. Each individual cart has its own "certificate" to identify the game is genuine. If two are detected on the Switch Online, the second detected is accused of illegal copies and can have you removed from your switch online account (as the first to register online is considered by Nintendo as genuine.) Sadly as found out, even reputable retailers are not immune - the staff copy games and put them back on the shelf, claiming that they "cannot put sealed copies on the shelf or keep them behind the counter" - this is total tripe! It's been done before and is the policy of most stores. This is also the reason that a lot of retail shops no longer accept trade ins on Nintendo Switch games.
I got rune factory 5 from the public library a couple of days ago for Switch. It was very charming and I ended up making a purchase on steam where it has much better performance

It was a pleasure to share some love for cozy RPG physical collecting!! I'm really glad we decided to pursue this topic together :)
So happy we did, thank you for all the info you taught me about physical collecting for Switch!
Love that Orbalology mentioned that Rune Factory pioneered the mix of Farming and ARPG elements in games we enjoy today

Love that game!
