Thanks for the SunnySide shout out! Development has been going well, and two patches have already been pushed to the demo that have fixed many of the issues players experienced in the first week or two that the demo was available. Localization is now included, too!
These farming games seem pretty neat. I've always been into simulation games. You might want to keep an eye out for Trade Tales as well. That's the game I'm most excited about right now.
I've had Potionomics in my game backlog for ages now and still awaiting a chance to get around to it, but when I do, I have high hopes for it. From what i've seen of it thus far, Sylvia seems adorable. :3 (Especially someone's Steam Screenie of her telling some jerkface lookin guy "Cry me a river, then swim away in it!"... 🤣)
having grown up playing video games, I had never delved into the cozy genre until animal crossing new horizon, over 200 hours LOL and I now love the genre. cannot wait for the new lord of the rings game, massive fan of any game that comes out about lord of the rings -except Gollum, that needs to burn LOL, the cat game looks so cute, having loved Stray, excited about it. Awesome video.
Did they ever tone down the difficulty of Potionomics? I watched someone play it at launch, and the time limit was brutal. I love the visual style and all the gameplay mechanics, but I hate being rushed. That 10-day crunch to get you potion skills up, unlock ingredients and better equipment, plus trying to find time to socialize to get better cards.... it seemed the opposite of "cozy." Even if you succeed the first competition, if you start the next 10 days on the back foot, it's that much harder to catch up for the next competition.
i'm excited for until then and sunny side. i feel like those two are going to be cozy games of the year contenders and i hope i'm right. Also thanks for reminding me about potionomics bubbz because i completely! forgot about it😂😂😅😅 i have a google doc for all the Rpg's i want to play so i think i need to make one for cozy games as well.😆😆
I feel you with the Google Doc. I have one for the games I want to play with the hours they will take to complete. Let's say just a few will take me 1000+ hours 🥹
I’ve been following the news on Sunnyside for a couple of years now. Looking forward to that so much. Hoping they work out the bugs as I didn’t hear good things about the demo.
The demo was pretty cool and long...I didn't have all the bugs others had though, they were quite funny some of them. It did make me decide it's not for me, even though the farming and the tech is super cool. I just personally didn't like the combat mechanic they went with.
@@airyspaw Most of the more dire bugs were fixed in the first patch in March :). Sorry to hear that the battle system isn't for you, but I can say that more updates are planned :)
@@RainyGames Yes for sure, I played the demo once the save was added so that was nice. I enjoyed the demo for sure. You have a great game with great ideas. I prefer to go in and live battle. It stays in my wishlist for sure to see progress.
As always so many good looking games. I was a bit surprised to be as interested in Tales of the Shire as I was but I'm also thinking about finally pouncing into the world of Cat Quest. Also I really want to hop into My Time at Sandrock but am still a little nervous due to the console version of My Time At Portia. I still enjoyed it but not being able to help Ginger's condition on the switch and the strict time limits for certain quests made it feel like I was in a constant race against time.
I have been a massive fan of Fantasy Life on 3ds, and this autumn they'll release a new Fantasy Life on Switch. I'm very excited for it. 😊 I like that there's a lot to do, collect, and many quests and upgrades. Any recommendations that are similar?
I am unexpectedly excited for Tales of the Shire. I am super enjoying Wylde Flowers (another unexpected love) and hope that character interaction will be somewhat similar.
Got you! Wanted to find a way to not lose watch time because of chapters but still letting y'all know how to spell the games if you decide to search for them. I hope this new style is helpful ☺️
I'm cautiously excited about Tales of the Shire like you saild lol. Also, today was the release of early access of Oddsparks and I really liked their demo, and I have to try Sunnyside demo too, is next on my play list. Thank you for this awesome news video!
Looking at Until then reminds me of a similar game called A Space For The Unbound, have you played it @SmissBubbles? It's set in a south-east asian country and it involves slice-of-life, mystery solving, and time travel!
ohhh i have cat quest 1 and 2, i never actually got past the tutorial on the first one, but i do wanna give it another shot and see what;s up! After im done with... college of course x_x Also, I'm loving how inclusive and queer positive these new cozy games have been! The community is really wholesome too!
Well I watched a 'cozy games' list video that contained elden rings which is most definitely NOT a cozy game. To me a cozy game is light hearted casual and has no serious consequences for actions in the game. Anytime fast paced or brutally hard doesn't count. I'm sooooo excited for cat quest 3 I loved the first 2 games and it comes out close to my bday
Cornucopia was removed from the UK. No idea why. Since they gave you a code can you find out why? I bought the game before it was removed and like you, now can play but cant like go into the store very strange. Even on humbke bundle they have it removed on the recent farming game bundle for uk only
Modern day "cozy" gamers: Super Smash Bros has always been a cozy game. 😆 Between Devs trying to apply the label to games that are not cozy games just to try and introduce them to potential new consumers or cozy gamers mislabeling games that are not cozy games just because they have certain elements of cozy gaming in them, the "cozy" game label has become over saturated at this point in time.

I wonder how much Tales of the Shire is going to lean into the lore. Is this just a LotR skin on cozy mechanics, or are we going to be cataloguing the family histories of the hobbits?
