Same boat. And I had it serviced not long ago. Having stated that, it hasn't been used for a long while

I can never get mine to start until I get frustrated and watch a RUclips video to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong. As soon as that happens it always fires up

Yeah well i just bought one today, abd it won't start. Ill try again in the morning. Otherwise im not convinced. I had a homelite fir 15 years and ut ut started right away, every time. And the the cost was the same. We'll see. I would hate to have to return it.

@@GettingItDoneRepairs yeah me either, I've got a chainsaw that a guy put together for me from a bunch of other saws and it's a beast, I've had it for about 15 years as well. But the good news is, I got the weed eater to start. Just having to learn the procedure. Lol, evidently it was just flooded. Thanks for the video. I was tripping though. I can narrow and rebuild a Ford rear end, but I couldn't start a weed eater. Too funny. Happy 4th.

The pull cord on mine is like locked or something, it's impossible to pull and I just bought the trimmer. Any solutions?

My husband bought me this trimmer 2 years ago and I haven't never been able to get it to start. This is probably the worst thing I've ever purchased. He got it started twice. Very expensive paperweight.

Awesome. Concise and SHORT thank you. Just got given one of these trimmers because "it won't f***g start" lol. One thing I don't understand. I'm from N.Z. and have always had Stihl trimmers & chainsaws. We used choke when conditions were cold, really cold. My gear started 3rd pull every time, whether I needed choke or not. Moved to Australia few years back where it's never cold cold. Everything here has chokes, primers and a starting procedure more akin to a 747 than single cylinder BASIC tools. I don't understand why all manufactures of all of these tools feel the need to make things so complicated, when all you want to do is mow your lawn or cut some wood. I'm 50+ and have had more grief from small engines/carburetors here in 10 years than the rest of my life in N.Z.
