It seems like a great deal of the time Zappi was the one who would sorta control the rhythmic direction of their jams. He was usually the first one to start and whenever he’d change up what he’s doing everyone else would follow along.
Excellent! Wish the ARP 2500 part survived. I’m sure they used it at some point. I’ve only ever seen this on old VHS bootlegs in the 90’s. The Remaster looks amazing! Great job!
very very good.........................................................................................................................................
Argh! Are there no other videos or live audio recordings of Faust around at all ?? That Henry Cow one from 1973 was pretty much just Henry Cow, it didn't include Faust's set (I think b/c they didn't actually play at the Rainbow -- that was the show where the one dude took off his pants and then Richard Branson cancelled their contract lol)
Yes, I've had the shorter version for ages, but never saw this before. Sosna had an incredible guitar sound..... It is verging on criminal that we don't have more footage from Wumme.....
and in 1996 i played the elektrick violin with them on germany tour.
nice
Love how the band waits awkwardly while the drummer does his thing.

Krautrock pioneers - believe it or not; they really pushed the boundaries of what rock music was all about !
Germany's answer The Beatles.
pushes the boundaries of all music, destroys everything you know about music and then rebuilds it but better

Wow!❤
1:35 notice how the guitarist is lip-syncing with the guitar lol, such a funny detail.
@@birdzzzondayflu2489 he's not tho

They certainly did play at the Rainbow, with Henry Cow - I was there!
The first half of their song Lieber Herr Deutschland features a short bit of a live jam. That’s about it though.
Great jam session! Although I do feel a bit bad for Gunther. He’s pretty much completely mixed out here
Great band! anyone knows what guitar effect the guitar player is using?
Anyone know the track name?
Wow!!!! A longer version - can you also upload the complete "Miss Fortune" - must have been the same documentary! ;-)

I saw a version of Faust in 1998- very industrial!
saw them yesterday, can confirm
The drummer on the left (behind the guitarist) is Arnulf Meifert?
Does anyone knows what guitar is that? What brand/model
Most likely a stripped down and modified Burns Shortscale Jazz from the 1960's
@@massesesclaves644 Thanks!

Not the thrash metal band I was looking for. Two drummers not playing together, this must be Jaaazzz.
A jazzy little incident
Thrash metal? You're having a laugh. Just one of the greatest bands of all time.
🍗
What are you talking about? Arnuff and Zappi are as in the pocket as it gets once they get going!
There's only one Faust, and this is them.
