I really like the song and the video was really cool too, I've had a thing for Krautrock since discovering Kraftwerk a few years ago but only really listened to Amon Duul ii, Kraftwerk, and Can- never really checked out Faust but I saw this and have really enjoyed them since ;)
Ricardo Diaz Well I kinda started with Faust (and the impacted madness of their debut) & began to like Krautrock a few months back. I just started listening to Can a few weeks ago. I suggest you should listen to Neu! if you ever get the chance.
Pizzaman Jenkins Yeah I really enjoy their music as well, I've listened to a Neu! and Neu! '75 and really liked both, they were kind of what I tried listening to after reading their involvement with early Kraftwerk. All great bands mentioned here. The first Faust record really reminded me of Frank Zappa in a way, but much less organized- not that that takes a single thing away from the music. Do you listen to any FZ?

This song could have gone on for an hour. That rhythm section never stops or changes, relentlessly forward moving with rigid determination. As a songwriter I would feel the need to write changes in the rhythm section but this has me looking at it in a whole new light.

+L Elf ET Bauhaus was really only 7 years later. I don't really hear the resemblance, however, except maybe the jangly guitars of Third Uncle, bt that was a cover of Brian Eno from '74. Perhaps this influenced Eno...

Back again, rainy day . Wonderful
I adore the repetition, love this so much ❤
This song sounds contemporary so I cannot imagine how much it blew the minds of people in 1972! I was freaking only four years old then.
Love the rocking chair in the background 👍😁
Dieser Song von Faust knallt dir einfach ins Gehirn und man bekommt ihn nicht mehr raus...EINFACH GEIL!!!
Das ist ser gut 😁

...tolle Musik...tolle Bilder...
The best deconstruction of rock’s primary 4/4 beat, and the most gloriously monotonous rhythmic intro ever.
And no back beat at all!!!

Absolutely brilliant. The song is long time favourite, but that video is utterly perfect. Faust themselves would envy that.

The grandfather of Dopesmoker. Mesmerizing, terrifying, hypnotic, trancey and so beautiful...
I can see how Talking Heads got their Ideas from these. ❤️❤️❤️
Talking Head were a lame commercial copy-cat of many original acts from the late 70s - a totally bogus cover band!

Maureen Tucker from the VU on the drum ? And Lou singing ? John Cale on the one-note bass ?
