    I respect you for putting out clear, informative, fun and honest material. Plus I have a 325 too.

    I fixed a broken rear spring in an E36 the same way as you, you're not the only one who does it that way. I felt dubious too but I feel better now :-)

    I might be wrong here, but the silver dollar sized washer that Koni supplies should be used on the 18mm lower mounting point of the strut. The two dome shaped washers that you reused are directly above and below the mounts. They contact the mounts rubber bushing with the rubber coating on the domed washers.

      Correct. I'm trying to put these in rn and it's supposes to go on the bottom mount with the big hex bolt

    I have just replaced my rear shocks with some Koni Str.t on stock sport suspension springs (2003 330i). The fronts will come when I have the money. I can confirm that it does improve shifting as T.H. says and generally makes the car feel a lot more plush suspension wise. I don't track my car so adjustable's seemed unnecessary. For those of you wondering its been a great upgrade from my original and disgracefully worn out (circa 2003) shocks.

    for any future watchers i just detached the sway bar and that allows you to push the control arm low enough to pull the stock springs out. I had H&R sport springs to put it and that would have been impossible if i didn't remove the sway bar.

    When adjusting the rear dampening, you don't need to remove the bumpstop?

    Personally, I think the ride height you have now is good and functional already. But then again, this is coming from someone who likes the stock height of non-sport suspension E46 springs.

    so corner balancing is just raising or lowering one side? hence if a car pulls more to the right you would increase the right ride high a little?

    • @ThrottleHouse
      @ThrottleHouse  7 лет назад

      +Clint Eastwood no that would be alignment. Corner balancing tries to get equal weight on all wheels so the car handles better

    do you have a exhaust installed?
    and is your shift knob weighted?

      Do you think you'll be suspicious if you get a job that goes smooth? Also, can you show us how you get your car on jack stands? I've read online and it seems a bit cloudy. There doesn't seem to be a central jacking point on the front of my car. And don't like the idea of jacking the rear via the Diff.

    • @ThrottleHouse
      @ThrottleHouse  8 лет назад +1

      I have reservations about showing people how to do this because it can be very dangerous. However, you don't use the rear diff, use the cross member protecting the diff. and in the front you use the front of the aluminum cross frame where there is a little depression. It will bend a little bit.

      fair enough, that's understandable. Really appreciate your replies! Attempting to replace the back box later tonight. GL me

    The next thing you should do is put individual throttle bodies on your intake. Watch "shop life" to learn how to take the manifold off and then replace it with the throttle bodies. bmw did not do their best with this car. There is more they could have done and individual throttle bodies was one of them.

      Isaac Yap The camshafts honestly don't have the lift and duration to take advantage of that, say you went FI With huge cams and full custom exhaust yeah go for it but otherwise it's kinda a waste. I would recommend a m54b30 manifold swap much better flow!
