I actually was able to have fun with NASCAR 08 when I was younger on the PS3, pushing cars in practice on track (Not sure if it was pre or post patch you could do that.) and in all series, racing at Texas with standard settings other than increased fuel and tire usage, and yellow flags off, as there was a glitch where without fail, the ai would lose control and spin entering the backstretch when rejoining the track. For me, it was great fun, even if I never finished. And for 38's damage not resetting and your replay damage not matching the race, that happens. I have noticed that your damage on the car may look different when you leave the replay to match the most recent frame in the replay.
One thing I’ve found helps me out a ton is using the roof camera. I find that using the chase cam causes me to react to what the car doing when it gets all twitchy like it does in the corners (or straightaways unfortunately)
I used to squeak some fun out of this when I was a kid but now, it might be tough but at least I would play this over 21 Also some would ask, how do you barrel roll at Martinsville. NASCAR 08: yes
@@jimmymyers so here's the problem :) I'm from Europe and these games were released on EU PS3 only as a PSN game, and it's already deleted, so we only have physical copies available, only NASCAR 08, NASCAR 09 and NASCAR '14 :) nothing more. it doesn't have to be exactly a simulator, rather more arcade on some medium difficulty, to soak up the atmosphere of these races :)
@@rebbojar2475 The PS3 is region free, so you could import a copy of Inside Line from the US if you wanted. To be fair 14 is basically a copy and paste Inside Line with the 2014 cars and drivers and some different menu graphics. I just hate group/elimination qualifying and that game doesn't let you do single car runs. When I had 14 when it came out it would freeze every time I tried to pick a driver but I guess they fixed it through updates because it works now.
@@jimmymyers well, these are the only US copies of the games, they are insanely overpriced here, (exclusivity from the US) :) , and otherwise I heard that the latest PS3 games get hacked quite often, those games were actually an engine port from the PS4 :) . That's how it looks on the 08 and 09 that came out of the EU versions😁

It's would to think that I found a way to almost be good that this game over ten years ago. Almost good. This is one of those games that I want to see someone seriously try their hand at with a wheel and no assists. I tried it once and I can tell you that this is the only console NASCAR game in which I've has to lift at Daytona running default setup.
The sad thing is this was one of my first NASCAR games and one I put a lot of time into. The things kids are willing to overlook 😂

I just got it for the ps2 and the way it feels is awesome, I wish it had a career close to thunder 2004 though

It has crazy crashes, just watch Mark Leiffer's video about it, it was insane.

I had the ps2 version of this one so ive never understood the hatred lol
its the ps3/360 version, it has updated physics for the cars, they aimed for realism but it just made the game very hard to play, personally i love it
im considering getting some NASCAR on PS3, never played them and now YT is full of old NASCAR games :)
Inside Line is the best PS3 NASCAR game, the rest you can skip.
