Great test... In a Ranch environment I wont need 600 ft of hose...We have mainly grass fires..So I cant justify the extra 900 bucks.. But I must admit the water ax is baddass...
@@WATERAX stop copy pasting that answer and address the specific point he brings up. We know your pump is actually better, but picking this 43m height is deceiving because obviously the Honda wouldn't work.
I think the pump itself has to look like a turbo charger like the waterax or a bell shape like the Davey or Darley pumps of Austrailia to give you that kind of presure.Say at least 100 PSI. Less elevation might make things more even, But IDK.
Could you clarify which pump you are talking about? They both have a Honda engine, the difference is the WATERAX pump end that is better suited for high-pressure at distance and elevation.
The comparison showed nothing. You should have tested at say 35 metres so at least we could had some comparisions Running a test beyond the pump's capabilities is pointless.
For the first couple years that I worked on an Initial Attack crew in BC, we used the WX15 until the agency purchased some MINI-STRIKER pumps which were, by far, the crew's favourite.
Terrible video. Actually compare them in real tests not just intentionally setting up a portatank where you know the Honda won't reach to "show" how much better yours is...
Nice video. Great little pump! That thing is awesome for its size.
it really is!
A hell of a day's work carrying the pumps and hoses all over the hills.
yes it was!
Love the ministriker!

Honda says on their website that the pump is for pumping up to 37 meters. If you try to pump 43 meters it's clear it won't work...
We compared the two units as they are both used in the field in the same wildfire settings.

@@WATERAXNo, address the individual comment. Don't shame a fish because it can't climb trees
Great video!!
I think, the right Honda Pump to compare would bei the Honda wh15.
I looked this up and the whx 15 x as it's called now only puts out 55PSI ,That is not enough PSI for me in a bad situation.

Will my WH15XT automatically shut down when my cistern runs out of water. I'll have been evacuated.
Would you say the self-priming ability of the Honda is better? Thanks!

one could also relay the pumps...........pump A, water site / Long Hose Lay ...Pump B , Secondary for ext range....
hi where can i get this in Malaysia
You should have tried wh15

how to buy
Im leaning
High-pressure pumps like the red one Will get destroyed if there's any gravel or anything that goes up inside them, where's a Honda Willl survive?
it depends what you need to do with it! If you need any pressure then it won't do you any good.
You can't really compare the two pumps. The Honda WX-15 is designed strictly for water transfer not for fighting forest fires. lol

Actually you can, as the WX15 is not strictly for water transfer. Lol ....
