    Very nice. One thing to note, the WB series are not trash pumps, those are the WT series. But that shouldn't matter for your application, as long as you use a strainer on the suction side, you'll be fine. I picked up a WT30X and WT40X for $350 a couple years ago with a bunch of hoses and fittings with the intention of fixing and reselling. We ended up using them a whole bunch after I got them running and decided to keep them around. Those things move ALOT of water.

    Word of advice: Take the extra rubber washers for the quick-connect and zip tie them to the pump frame. Then they will always be there when you need them. I have a Honda like yours and it works good.

    now you're going to have to install some cameras and link to your phone so you can monitor the water levels from anywhere... at anytime... we don't want to see another video about a flooded workshop! nice addition!

      What I really need to do is fix the gravity outflow. However, that would require a major excavation under my neighbor's driveway so, for now... we pump. It's raining again today too. So far the electric pump is keeping up, but I may be putting the Honda pump to use again soon.

    It will have to be a battery-operated pump in California.

    Having had the use of the same pump now for 18 months we are seeing water coming into the engine from the pump side . Somehow the pressure is too much for the seals and they are allowing in a small amount of water which emulsifies in the oil . Has anyone else had this . Two pumps and both did this . We change the oil more often but obviously we need to change the seal on the pump side . Maybe an upgrade . Other than that they are very reliable work tools

    Take the kink Out of the inlet pipe. Water pumps go great when everything is straight good channel too.

    • @SalemWoodworks
      @SalemWoodworks  2 года назад +2

      The intake pipe is rigid, so can't really kink. You're right that I had the outflow pipe kinked for a bit. We did straighten that out in use. Thanks!

    That engine not gonna last long. U did not follow the proper breakin procedure. It is highly not recommended to run a brandnew engine at full throttle no matter the size or brand. Start it at idle leave it running at idle for 10 20mins. This pump can pump water even when the engine is at idle so u don't need to run it dry.. rev the engine up and down few times changing load on the engine for first 2hrs on non senthetic oil then replace the oil then run it for next 20hrs then replace the oil then use it as u like for next 100hr and replace the oil..

    What is the consumption of gasoline per hour in liters of the pump?

    • @SalemWoodworks
      @SalemWoodworks  6 месяцев назад

      Sorry, I don't have that information. When I run the pump, a tank lasts a few hours. I don't run it often enough or long enough to be too concerned about fuel consumption.

      I'm currently pumping slightly uphill, about 8 ft of rise and 150 ft of run of 2 inch hose with excellent flow.

    10:25..."And I'm an idiot". lol! No, you're not an idiot. An idiot spends 20 minutes trying to drill a hole through a stud and wondering why the wood is getting hot and it's taking forever to drill a hole....only to discover the drill set to reverse.
