      Hi +Coltd Visionwave
thank you for your question! The recirculation line allows for the water to recirculate back into the tank. The recirculation valve should be slightly opened when the pump is running and all discharge valves are closed; this will prevent the pump from overheating. Important: when using foam, the recirculation valve should always stay closed to prevent foam from entering the water tank. Additionally, the operator can draft water through the overboard suction and fill the tank by opening the recirculation valve (see Basic Operations video 0:36 - 1:45).
Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Just found this video. At 1:05 in the above, it shows using a priming/bilge hand pump. Where does a person find that same one?

We understand it can be a big investment, and we can assure you that the RANCHER® offers benefits you won’t find in a lower-cost alternative.
At WATERAX, we believe that when it comes to emergency response equipment there is no short cut to quality. The RANCHER® unit is light enough to quickly load onto a vehicle and supply enough power to meet the needs of modern wildland firefighting. The RANCHER® unit sports the MINI-STRIKER® high pressure pump that has a better performance-to-weight ratio than skid units in its class at a competitive price.

@@WATERAX With all due respect sir, but overpriced is overpriced !! You can try to justify the prices you're charging and while that may account for a very small portion of the retail price, you're still screwing your customers. I truly wish you much success. However, I would hope most people with common sense will realize that they can build the same thing for far, far, far less. It's a shame that you do business this way.
Good luck with your future endeavors.

As someone that is currently building a DIY skid unit; there is A LOT more than meets the eye to building these. Low volume/high pressure is the requirement for wildland fire applications. If you do your research on pumps, you will realize many are not up to the task. By the time I am finished, I'll have quite an investment in this DYI project.

@@johncase2974 Frankly, some people do not wish to build their own unit, but can afford the luxury of a prepackaged unit that it well crafted. Any investment of my time offsets potential savings in many things I could assemble myself.
