It's so very hard to be content with that reality. But it's up to us to bring some life to our world, even if it's not the grandeur we hope for. And it's ultimately our choice if we can feel satisfied in our world or not.

There's a genuine look of excitement and exhilaration on his face as he leaves his old life behind; to him, it wasn't about whether the earth was flat or not, it was about the journey to discover what's out there.

This song speaks to a great restlessness; longing for something, but not knowing what, but it's out there somewhere. It's as they say in the song, you can't know what lies ahead if you don't go. Likewise, "leaving without a view" it's like leaving a relationship, a city, a job, etc without a plan; just a hope that you'll find what you're looking for. It is very very very clever how the singer says "I'm looking for..." and never finishes the line, because he doesn't know what it is. It's a truly wonderful song.
My interpretation: As shown through repeated imagery, the character feels trapped in his world. In the end we see him manage to find a way out, ending up in the Lone Digger bar. He literally broke free of his music video and entered another one.
Sunset Hero the way that in the beginning he looks at the sky and sees the robot face, and it freaks him out. He has essentially switched places with the fly in the glass.

When he entered that dark corridor with the dim lights, I was like "this kinda looks like the Lone Digger corridor". When he opened the door and I saw the tables and the things rotating in the middle, I was "Maybe it's just a pretty big reference?". When I saw red and dark blue things walking behind the man when he was sitting down, I was like "they kinda resemble those cats from lone digger". And then the video ended with the cats appearing.
Something I noticed while watching is that the protagonist has to smash through a wall of ice to jump over into a different music video. The term "Breaking the 4th wall" comes from Shakespeare who came up with the notion that a stage has 4 walls. One in the back, two on stage left and right, and the invisible 4th wall seperating the audience from the "world" of the show. In that sense, our protagonist didnt shatter the 4th wall. Rather, he literally smashed through the 3rd wall on stage left and effectively wandered into a different show in the theater next door.
It is also the supposed wall of ice surrounding the world according to flat earthers. Supposedly there's more world past it, I've heard something about giants living there... Turns out it was just furries.

The symbolism is that the 'predatory', animalistic nature - the animal jingoism took it's course and every predatory animal tried to prove that it's the strongest by killing those that are 'weaker' or 'natural enemies' which proves fatal and kills every single one of them.
Now this raises the questions: A. Did he purely replace the donkey and this is alternative timeline stuff? B. Have all of those animals in the club been real humans at one point too and it isn't an alternate timeline? C. @@SheriffValentine Focusing on the hole will lead you into it. In a metaphorical sense you should look outside of the hole around you to find yourself. I picked up drawing, piano, making funny 3d models, and i'm shit at all of it, but I enjoy it. In a realist sense you have to fill the hole with other things, you're out of the old dirt. Find new dirt to dig. Something new, shiny. Or old dirt you ignored before, like old childhood wishes you think are pointless. And don't think hard about it.

I know what you mean, slowly I'm learning how to enjoy things, many of my friends and family say I need to learn how to relax. They're right and you're right about not thinking to hard on it, most of my life has been wishes and thoughts, thoughts I didn't act on because apart of me was scared of change. This video kinda speaks to me in that sense of seemingly just being every day at the same spot. But hits me that this guy finally did something of what he wanted while every day im back where I was lamenting where I cant be.
I was expecting him to crash his boat, while he was in the bathtub the toy boat bumps into the tub so I thought it’d predict something later on. The fly also bumps into his drink.
One of the grand mysteries of the universe, I imagine. The tiny creature trapped in a tiny ocean, walled off by glass. Just as the man himself is in their flat worlds. Their mutual escape the jaws of a larger deadlier predator. Maybe it's an omen? A forecast of the deadly events of his future, and he the only one who can change his fate. Maybe it's a sign of the self-destructive nature of trying to find uncomfortable truths in the world and what might happen if one is right about them. Maybe it's just his tired outlook on a world that lies to him making him more jaded to even things like that. Or in other words: I don't know why he swallowed the fly. Perhaps he'll die?
@Burning Cole Pretty sure the donkey and others survive Lone Digger, when you pause the video at the end and look at the corpses the donkey is no where to be seen. Also it just shows him getting splattered with blood but never actually getting hurt or killed.

The poster on the persons wall could be a refrence to the style of drama, and in the Dramophone music video they play the song on a record player, and the fact records are used for a majority of Caravan Palaces stuff, such as merch and album covers 4. The spaceship temple can be seen in the backround as the person goes on his journey 5. The ending bit is obviously Lone Digger[and, wouldn't you say how he gets into the bar, he could be considered the Lone digger], he's also in the Lone Digger music video, sorta hes the donkey 6. The entire song sounds similar to one of the previous songs, being Russian This is just observations pointed out by me, and multiple people in this comment section, I just compiled them really.

My interpretation:
As shown through repeated imagery, the character feels trapped in his world. In the end we see him manage to find a way out, ending up in the Lone Digger bar.
He literally broke free of his music video and entered another one.
Sunset Hero the way that in the beginning he looks at the sky and sees the robot face, and it freaks him out. He has essentially switched places with the fly in the glass.
He changes into the Donkey in Lone Digger

When he entered that dark corridor with the dim lights, I was like "this kinda looks like the Lone Digger corridor". When he opened the door and I saw the tables and the things rotating in the middle, I was "Maybe it's just a pretty big reference?". When I saw red and dark blue things walking behind the man when he was sitting down, I was like "they kinda resemble those cats from lone digger". And then the video ended with the cats appearing.

Something I noticed while watching is that the protagonist has to smash through a wall of ice to jump over into a different music video. The term "Breaking the 4th wall" comes from Shakespeare who came up with the notion that a stage has 4 walls. One in the back, two on stage left and right, and the invisible 4th wall seperating the audience from the "world" of the show.
In that sense, our protagonist didnt shatter the 4th wall. Rather, he literally smashed through the 3rd wall on stage left and effectively wandered into a different show in the theater next door.
That's crazy, it makes a lot of sense from that interpretation

ok so what i’m getting here is that at various points around the world are entrances to this “Caravan Club” where whenever people enter, they take on an animal/creature like form based on their personalities or ideals. This guy became an ass for believing in crackpot theories, the bull became the bouncer because of how traditionally intense and standoffish bulls can be, there were snakes which would be underhanded or deceitful people, and dog mobsters, all trying to be the “top dog”. the list goes on. if they keep expanding this it could be incredibly interesting

Now this raises the questions:
A. Did he purely replace the donkey and this is alternative timeline stuff?

I noticed that even after he achieved his goal of looking for the truth, after finding and breaking through the wall to reality, all he finds is himself right back in a bar sipping on a drink. He wasn't satisfied in his world, and even after going through the effort to go to another, he's still unsatisfied.

@@SheriffValentine Focusing on the hole will lead you into it. In a metaphorical sense you should look outside of the hole around you to find yourself. I picked up drawing, piano, making funny 3d models, and i'm shit at all of it, but I enjoy it. In a realist sense you have to fill the hole with other things, you're out of the old dirt. Find new dirt to dig. Something new, shiny. Or old dirt you ignored before, like old childhood wishes you think are pointless. And don't think hard about it.

Their mutual escape the jaws of a larger deadlier predator. Maybe it's an omen? A forecast of the deadly events of his future, and he the only one who can change his fate. Maybe it's a sign of the self-destructive nature of trying to find uncomfortable truths in the world and what might happen if one is right about them. Maybe it's just his tired outlook on a world that lies to him making him more jaded to even things like that.
