My mom knits only...socks too!🥰And for her too, its her relaxing-zen moment. She dont folllow a pattern and dont knit anything else!!! When I asked her:But do you follow a pattern? She says: No. No pattern, its in my head. The base is always the same ( same tech for the heel, etc), but I dont count anything, I do as I go, as I feel, sometimes longer or shorter, but thats all that change, its always to same "size" of feet, only shorter or longer!!🤣!In fact, hers are more "winter socks" to put over regulars sock to keep warm inside the house in the winter, or to wear over regular sock, in your winter boots. She cant knit with too small or too big yarn cuz its hurts her hands. I dont know how many pairs, my boyfriend and I are receiving each year, and its the same for many members of the familly! She doesnrt want to sell them, even after I show her that some Etsy shops are selling something similar for 40CAD$!🥰

In case its not working, I'll also send it to you by email ... Enjoy those times. They are truly precious. I’m starting to get my desire to craft back. I just finished a blanket for one of my grandsons. I used Bernat blanket yarn and he picked out the colors. He loves it. I’m going to do what you did, I’m saving all of my leftovers as I’ve made 4 of these blankets and have to finish up 2 other’s which are a different pattern. I hope to make a blanket like you did for either your son in law or son in law to be, I can’t remember, lol. Enjoy your next trip and Happy Thanksgiving if we don’t hear from you before then. Your grandsons are awesome!! Good for them! Wonderful work!❤

I've been making 4 round granny squares for years with my left overs. "someday" I will make them into blankets. The baby blanket is so pretty. Those socks are awesome, what a great friend.
