Hi Debbie love the granny top. I love the rug you made for your mom. I made the rug but just made it rectangular. It was very easy and you can place the colors were you like. I just lined them up sewed together and trimmed the ends off. I sewed a binding strip on each side. Lays nice and flat. You have inspired me to make another. Great video.😊

I love hearing what you've been up to & seeing the things you've made. If I was your neighbor I'd be over constantly to listen to your stories & watch you craft. The whole time I'd be praying that I could soak up some of your talent. I love your passion for reusing & upcycling. I'm right there with you. My Grandma was big on that too. I remember as a little girl she would make Barbie furniture with me from things she had. We made a Barbie couch from a velveeta cheese box reshaped & we covered it with pretty walpaper scraps. Sewing is just “practice practice practice”. Just keep trying. That’s why I started sewing with scraps. I didn’t want to pay a lot of money to learn

To get the rug to lay flat you may need to making small ( just the inside seam corners ) darts to adjust the the curving of the corners..
