I've made lots of purses. Here's a tip. Since you are lining the bags, all you need to do is have the tail ends in-between the lining & the crochet, as long as they are tied off enuf so not to unravel. Or crochet over the tails & then leave a bit of the tail inside.

Cute backpack boxes. It'd put a key tag on the mini plushies & call them Back Pack Mystery Buddies. They would be a Back Pack Buddy in a back pack box.

Hair clips are cuuuuute! FYI - if you have a heat/label printer for shipping labels you can use it to make stickers with your label, question marks, whatever.

Just found your channel and I’m so happy to find another maker/ market girl who doesn’t do only plushies! I am located in Southern Illinois and sell granny square bags and cardigans along with other crochet things at local markets!

for the mystery box labels, maybe you can find some paper stickers (like label/name tag stickers) and stamp that? idk how difficult it is to make a flower/mini bouquet but that could be cute for the mystery boxes too ☺️

Try cutting circles out of printable sticker paper with your cricut joy, and then stamp it! Potentially an easy way to make stickers with what you already have!! :))

When I knit I use a boppy pillow to rest my arms on and it really help relieve the tension in my shoulders. The boppy is kinda small around, so I am hoping to buy a Valari soon. They are more expensive, but would fit better around.

Suggestion for your coated paper backpacks . I stamp my logo on a premade Avery blank circle sticker and add that to stuff that doesn’t take ink well. You could also try a solvent ink like stazon. Hope that helps. Also I’m totally a Jo-Ann coupon queen too! ❤🧁

Dana,I don't know anything about the romanian cord. Does it have much stretch? I hate stretchy straps! Do you crochet with a gaming/crochet pillow? I was skeptical, but I can crochet for hours in end no neck, shoulder, elbow pain. I can't speak for back pain as I have had chronic pain for the past 20 years, so I can say it doesn't get worse, lol.
one of the best parts of the romanian cord is it has little to no stretch! ( depending on the yarn you use) I love it because I too hate a stretchy strap. And oh interesting, I might need one because I do get shoulder and back pain pretty often. Im so sorry about your chronic back pain but I do really appreciate you sharing that recommendation with me!
You should just attach a tag to the backpack so people can use it for other things after without it saying mystery box and then they get to take the tag off their new bag, like a backpack in the store

What yarn do you use for the granny squares? They just look so…nice. Mine never look so good
In this video I am just using big twist value acrylic yarn. Have you ever tried blocking your squares after? That makes all the difference for me!

Yes I do have a video of how I make the purse and how I sew the liner into the bag! I personally using the sewing machine
What is the best yarn to make Granny squares?
for acrylic personally, Big Twist Value. For cotton I like both lily sugar and cream and also Lion brand 24 / 7 cotton yarn
Do you have a video on blocking?
I do not but my video tomorrow is an in depth tutorial on the bags and I will go over how I block them! 😊

What needle/settings do you use to sew the lining on your bags? I’ve tried using my machine to sew the lining on my fanny packs but something always goes wrong!
Oh no!! Im so sorry to hear that. I have to say Im unsure of the needle in my sewing machine, it's just the standard needle that came in my singer heavy duty 4452. I have it on level 4 tension and level 2 width. I hope that helps, Im sorry Im not extremely familiar with sewing!

how is the Joanne’s near you? they are like a ghost town around here ( metro Detroit area). No employees, no inventory and absolutely no customer service
My Joanns is pretty good! Unfortunately they are extremely short staffed at my location and so they do the best they can! Luckily our inventory stays quite stocked and thats all I really need. Im sorry you have that experience with the Joanns near you!
What if you had stamped the backpack and put clear tape on top of it?
I did consider that option! I was already if I got finger prints on the tape they would show on the backpack😂

I just watched someone else use the exact same boxes and plushies for mystery boxes but on Amazon for $17 lol she put 2 stickers in it and charged $10 and they sold out. They’re a great idea! Also I love the concert bags you made ahhhh!!!omfg the neutral clip looks so nice on you!!! Ahhh! So cute!❤
