Relating to all these Europeans, in New Zealand we have to drive for 45-60 minutes on the busiest possible roads, do reverse parallel parks on said busy roads, three point turns (you would have failed here if you did it as slow as in the video), lane changes, multi lane roundabouts and my least favourite - turning onto the opposite side of a 4 lane road. Honestly how do you guys even feel safe driving knowing this is all you have to do to get a licence?

In my home country this would be a fail.
At one stop sign she (I think) stops way to early and by the time see is at the intersection she uses the stop sign as a give way sign. That is serious driving fault. Keeping left after the traffic lights, starts as a driving fault and it eventually becomes a serious driving fault. The three point turn was really slow though this would not have been sufficient for a failure. Though if traffic would be approaching and she still does at this speed it would be a driving fault. Though a driving fault by itself is not an immediate failure.

While I struggle to finally get my license in Poland I’m so jealous of how easy your driving test is. In my country only about 30 percent pass the first time and in many cities you have to wait around a month for another try. You can’t train driving with your parent so you have to buy expensive lessons to not lose your skills until the next test.
Also for some reason a lot of driving examiners here are very rude and disrespectful towards people who take the test which makes the whole experience extremely stressful and prone to even simple mistakes.

In the UK you pass the theory test it involves 50 multiple choice questions out of a pool of 700 and you need minimum 43 is required to pass and you have a maximum of 1 hour to complete and then you must almost immediately start the hazard perception test which lasts 20 minutes it is the second part of the theory test and 44 out of 75 is required both tests must be passed to gain a provisional licence then you are allowed to take driving lessons and then there's the driving test which last around 40 minutes one mistake like going to close to a cyclist or or clipping a kerb when parking and its a fail they are considered a major fault but minor faults are acceptable like not keeping exactly a car length away from the vehicle in front while in traffic or indicating too early your allowed 15 but if you do the same minor 3 times it's a major and that's an instant fail and Bere in mind if you live in London it's harder because the Romans wasn't thinking about driving tests when they built the original roads.. 😉I just passed my test 3 months ago with only 1 minor first try in torrential rain busy traffic parallel parking in a manual car on a hill.

In Croatia you first have to take theory lessons for about two weeks and get 90% minimum on the theory test (there are also some excluding questions), then you have to take 9 hour long fist aid education that also requiers a theoretical/practical test (it was my favorite part of driving school honestly) and only then you can start driving with your instructor. You have to drive for 30 hours minimum and then you can apply for a driving exam. Each time you fail you are required to take another 3 hours of lessons. Exam lasts for a minimum of 30 minutes driving through dense city traffic and doing roundabots, lane changing, all kinds o parking, merging etc. All that on of course a manual (you can't legally drive a manual if you get your license on an automatic). Also as some Europeans have pointed out, we can only drive with an instructor which makes it difficult as you often drive many days apart (I drove 2 hours every week on average and it was hard remembering stuff for the next lesson). The whole process on average lasts about 6 months (tehnically you could do it in a month but it's impossible administrativley) and costs about $1000 on average. You wait a month for your exam (you apply after finishing 30 hours driving so you wouldn't drive for a month waiting your exam-most people pay 5 or so lessons extra to keep their skills sharp) and the examinors are very strict. It isn't rare to see people failing 2 or 3 times. Each exam (theory, first aid, driving) costs about aditional $60. After getting your drivers license your parents will likely educate you further in snow and rain driving, night driving etc. as we really get the whole range of conditions in a year here. I am writing all this to say how I feel very confident driving in most scenarios and exam show on video looks just way to easy. At the end of the day you are driving a ton and a half machine at 60+ miles per hour next to others going in an opposite direction. I just would feel confident enough to drive with this little konwledge.

wtaf did i just watch. this looks like a first or second lesson driver in the UK. My shortest test was as long as this because i pulled out too late and slowed downa van behind me so the instrcutor told me to go back to the test centre. I failed my first one because i didnt check my mirror enough doing a reverse on the opposite side of the road and hesitation when pulling out. That three point turn wouldve been a Major fault in the UK purely for how long you were blocking the road, shows how inexperienced you are. We dont hasve three point turns on the test anymore but is still something we are taught a lot. You did 4 junctions and they were all fairly straight forward, no complexity at all.
My test centre you had to turn right onto a 60mph road which lead straight to a roundabout then they took you into the middle of town, a few big hills for hill starts and down a dual carriageway. The test all includes having the knowledge of how to maintain your car and how to properly operate vital functions. Americans should not be allowed to drive in Europe on their licence

The lady in this video reminded the guy to stop at a stop light. No instructor I met would even tell u to go straight because it's expected for u to know where to go if no instruction is given. Go straight if nothing is said turn left if straight is not possible and right of it's ur only option. Stop to long at a junction -4 points, never check mirrors before during after -2 each, roll back when on slope -4, incorrect gear -4, wide turn sharp turn - 4, incorrect speed -4. U can only get 20 points if not u fail. Going even a inch over the stop line is a instant fail, miss a turn instant fail, touch a curb instant fail, overtake dangerously instant fail.
Some learners can't even make it out onto the public road before they fail due to points.

That was the slowest three point turn I've ever seen and it doesn't make any sense that you don't have to do any hill starts or parallel/reverse parking. The roads are all long and straight with no traffic and the examiner even tells you to stop at a stop light... like, no shit. My first lesson required more skill than this. In all those 54 years that i´m driving i had not one accident. And really, i am not a slow driver and also not on the highway. Be always concentrated, look far in front of you, do not stand on yr rights, keep the rules, keep enough distance, keep yr head cool in every situation, don´t take risks, use yr mirrors regularly, so you know what is happening around you, and always use yr blinker when you leave a roundabout. I also drive in the daytime with lights on for safety of others and myself. And in case of a pile/up USE YR HAZARD LIGHTS to warn oncoming traffic from behind. Good Luck.!!!!

compared to Americas driving test the UK driving test feels like rocket science, 10 minutes USA and 38-40 minutes in UK, I failed 2 times hopefully 3rd time lucky

Can anyone tell me why after turning left into a two lane road, the driver did not move to the right lane. As the right is normally the slower lane ?

is this video a real test drive? I mean, where are the busy roads? parallel parking, fish parking, reverse parking? how can be this easy? for my test drive I had to park through cones without touching them, s parking and reverse parking, drive in a mountain road, in a busy road, in a thight road, for almost 60 minutes, and the inspector sometimes tell: turn right here or U turn there but is actually up to you if you can or can’t do it, you have to be wake to not fall for those tricky questions!
edit: in my country you can’t stay on the most left lane like in the video, the most left lane is for overtaking only.

4:49 I’m assuming no checks before moving off
Seems like a fail to me

My first 2 tests were on busy roads I didn't ever know, parallel park in between 2 cars, sat nav for 20 mins, horrible double roundabouts I eventually passed on my 3rd try because all I had to do on that one was go through some streets one main road and reverse 2 spaces backwards 😂 they could have gave me that the first time hahah
