Where did you get fresh oha? Where did you get fresh oha? 😂😂😂
    1. I get all my fresh Nigerian ingredients from NIGERIA ... ALWAYS! Where I live in Spain, we can't even boast of buying good palm oil not to talk of fresh Nigerian vegetables and traditional ingredients. 😂
    2. I filmed this video in JANUARY, yes early January, the day after I came back from Nigeria from my Christmas trip. So the vegetables and akwu were still very fresh then.
If you watch my vlogs and/or the family meeting videos you'll know these things. 😉

Cooked this today for the 1st time. I have never tasted it before and i decided to try corn starch as the thickener... I was cooking and praying...lol..My husband loved it. He said it tasted like home...so proud of me and thanks so much for your tutoring, which has caused me to cook mainly Nigerian dishes. I hardly cook Jamaican dishes in my house. Thanks so much

When I was 17, I went to Port Harcourt to stay with my aunty and she made her Onugbu and Oha soup like this. Since then I’ve been cooking my soup like this even till this day. Now I just use Palm Kernel paste. My brother who is married to a Benin woman used to beg me to cook my Oha soup for him when I lived in Naija, preferring mine to our mothers’.

Palm kernel and garri mixed with salt and sugar is heaven. 👍

Very interesting, I've learnt a lot from this video. My Aunty is used to Ghanaian cooking, and she said one can peel and dice or cut the cocoyam, especially the bigger cocoyam type or even yam, into tiny pieces, and cook in the soup, so one doesn't need to pound, and one gets chewy cocoyam bits, and she prefers that method.
Thanks A Lot for this video.
Well done, it's a short and interesting video, without unnecesssary time wasting bits. Keep on keeping your videos short, smart and captivating.

Hmmmm, Sis Flo, there's a huge difference for me ooh, any Oha or Onugbu Soup prepared with Palm Nuts concentrate have a special Taste , it' normally appear Thick but not Congealed.
The surface is shiny but the the ones cooked with Palm oil Congeals easily and it looks dull. You can see how shiny this Oha Soup looks, It has no option than to be DELICIOUS 😋😋😋😋😃, I use palm oil to cook my Onugbu if I run out of Palm Cream.

I followed your directions with slight differences in some ingredients (I used palm oil, I used offor as thickener) the soup taste was delicious, infact I didn't believe it. Thanks alot for you videos
