Go and refill your gas

Hey, I noticed you didn’t use onions to cook, doesn’t it require the use of onions?
It's not needed actually, we rarely use onions in our soups as igbos.
after being sentenced to a soup rehab center i am back eating this soup, if they are not watching me i would wolf down this soup 5 times with ten dozes of amala a day.
Hahahaa
I am cooking it right now in my restaurant
You're the best cook our cooker
I will just throw that stockfish😱 head away
the water u firter is it banga water or something else
Yes it is
The bread at the end, is it to be used to eat the oha soup?
Very nice. 👌
Thanks a lot, Joyful cook. I made this soup today using your recipe except for the smoked catfish. It took time (I guess because it's my first time and the use of 1 gas ) I started at 6:46 pm and ended it at 9:27 pm. Thank you once again.
How did it turn out for you?
What if I don’t have palm fruits?

On a side note ma I think you should talk about the particular specie of coco yam to use if your looking for that Specific Oha taste is not all coco yam that can be used. My opinion though
Can i use achi instead of cocoyam
Properly made like how the Igbos make it…
This oha soup is my favourite soup, I like the way you frozen the akwu, nice and delicious soup ,a new friend here ❤

Onces I add my oga leaves and bring down only for me to come back it will look so dry nd black I mean the how leave but why??
Is it ok to cook it without uziza leaves?
It also okay, but it gives it a unique and yummy taste
Thank you so much for this video ma 😊 this particular oha soup is making me salivate 😩🥺
So ma once the soup is thick then I can remove the coco yam ?
The cocoyam dissolves in the broth and causes it to thicken, giving it the famous oha consistency
Please can you make a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
4:15 watch from Nigeria
I love ur recipe and how u teach
Please English name for oha leaves
No English name it's Igbo name
This video helped me really well
My mom travelled and I've never made it before 😅
Authentic Oha Soup. Just this afternoon I was discussing with someone over the phone how I crave for oha soup. The last time I eat this was 6 years ago.
This one is more than nose blinding o also eye blindingly deliciousness 😂😋😋
What other thing can we use to thicken if cocoyam is not available
Do we have Oha leafs in Yoruba land?
If yes what is it called in Yoruba language
Go to Igbo market near you and get it, it's always in the market
Good Afternoon! The soup looks great
Pleasre, Where do you get the fresh uziza and oha leaves from? I'm in NY and haven't had luck finding fresh ones.
Thanks in advance. 😊
If you have anyone in Houston the will help you get it
Watching from Maiduguri. This looks delicious 😋
Can you substitute fish sauce if you can’t get a salt fish head?
Is there something else I can use in place of cocoyam?
Nee subbie watvhing from London. Can’t wait to make this myself ❤
Sis, how do we remove the cocoyam when it's already blended and added to the soup? I understood everything except that bit. Would like to know. I am not Nigerian but love the cooking ❤❤
When it is already blended? How do you mean? When you blend it with blender it is already a paste and When added to the soup it dissolves. Maybe you mean something else?
Joy please how do you get fresh Oha leaf?
Good African store look for where that are selling Nigerian food stuffs
When using beef how do we introduce the beef in the soup?
Is there any way to know a good cocoyam or are they all the same??
Is itt ok I use knife for the oha leaf and dried uziza seed is it?
Waooh this is good
Pls can I used dry oha leaves?
Thank you so much, my hubby like aha soupoooo, wow 100% understand watching from cotonou.❤
Hello Joyful cook am watching from Nigeria and I from the northern part of Nigeria I want to ask why use hand to cut the oha why can't you use knife to cut the leaves
Oha leaf doesn't go well when cut with knife like other greens. It's best hand tossed
You can use knife if you want, it will still come out fine
What is the alternative to ogiri for those of us in diaspora
I love it so much ❣️🤩❣️🤩❣️
Must try this

This is my first time watching. I’m in Baltimore, Md USA. There is an African restaurant here that serves Nigerian food, but I do not know what to get. I don’t think I would eat periwinkle, but the leafy green soup, I most definitely want and to experience eating with my fingers using the poundo yams instead of utensils would be AWESOME
I ll be trying this

It's not a must ,you can use palm oil
Is there à way you can cook without adding those Seasonings ?? I dont want to mention names. Use only natural Seasonings.

Great. I really enjoy watching your cooking. However, I always cringe when you use the expression "oh my GOD", It would be better to say oh my goodness to avoid using the name of the Lord in vain. I just thought I should mention 😊
