Lil Torta the number in an exo’s name indicates how many times their memory has been reset due to mental capacity. Cayde for example was reset 6 times, hence why his memory is spotty at times. Banshee has been reset 44 times. He’s so broken he can hardly remember what happened to himself, let alone anyone else.
To be specific, Memento Mori bullets are 6 shots with ~50% bonus damage. They last until you fire six shots out of the gun, but do not refresh themselves back up to 6 if you were to get a kill with say, your 3rd or 4th one. You need to be out of them before you can get more. Essentially, it's a 6 shooter with 7 cheater shots. Another cool detail is that the chamber glows when the weapon is empowered by any kind of buff, including an empowering rift or the weapon's own perk.
LoopDeLoop usually I use 5 extra damage bullets on the boss, kill a weaker enemy with a headshot (to get the 6 extra damage bullets back, and the headshot is to get that quicker reload) The last momento Mori bullet can be used to kill an enemy and then reload to get back all 6 so sometimes it's worth not using all 13 bullets before reloading, anyway the reload speed after a headshot is so insane that you won't even notice the reload
I’m soooo glad they decided to call it firefly instead of dragonfly for this one. It was my favorite perk in destiny 1, and i feel like it is a throwback to “firefly” the tv show
Firefly is technically different to Dragonfly in this game. Firefly has guaranteed Solar explosions on the headshot and also comes with Outlaw built in, as such better than Dragonfly. Dragonfly is just random element explosions on headshots and that is it. Think this is why they are named differently.
I know I'm late to the party, but I ran through the Quest and just got my ace of Spades tonight..!! Awesome quest. The Grind portion wasn't as bad as Redrix, and there was the added, exclusive mission at the end with Cayde's farewell stuff. I loved it. Thanks for some direction on a stash or two I just couldn't find.
When you get to the part where crucibles are mandatory, I recommend the “Trust” Hand Cannon. It was easy for me to get the headshots because of how little the recoil is so I do recommend going with that but any other hand cannon can work as well.
I’m getting the same feeling from this expansion as the Taken King. Even more so because there’s so much to do right now I’m almost overwhelmed and overjoyed. I could spend hours just looking through the collections alone figuring out builds for the future for each activity. Great job Bungie 👍
Was thinking of coming back after the horrible state this game was in , but none of my friends don't wanna play D2 so I have no one to play with. plues I'm still steep over the pricing of the forsaken DLC and the annual pass. Yes you can choose not to buy the annual pass but let's not kidd ourselves, if you seriously wanna get all the full experience of year two of D2 than you'll have no choice but to throw even more money at Bungie which is getting ridiculous. Guess I'll wait for the Reviews first before I decide

And while it may be the price of a new game and then some I mean that’s exactly what you’re getting; a new game. Much like Vanilla Destiny 1’s lackluster content, vanilla D2 had the same problem. But now it’s even in a better state than the Taken King DLC. I know this doesn’t have everything to do with Forsaken but I hated D2 PvP and primarily played PvE. But thanks to the new weapon system and random rolls and new weapons to shoot for I can’t stay out of the crucible. It really is a game changer and I wouldn’t be an advocate for it if I didn’t truly believe in it.
Tbh I’m not a huge destiny fan boy and I’ve never really played or felt an attachment to Cayde as a character but that last mission honestly made me feel like a lot of emotion for him. That was a really good mission.

Im currently three days intro trying and im still on step one of the quest because i lack PvP skill a fireteam and because handcanons aren't meta for pvp
i bought destiny a WHILE ago i never played the game again, cause my pc didnt have all the recommended stuff to run the game properly, this poped up in my recommended, now i want to play destiny again :D
This guide made it so much easier. It took me about 6 strikes, 4 crucible matches, and only 15 minutes on all 4 chests. The last mission is a relatively quick one too!
To those in late 2019 you do not need to kill invaders in Gambit, you just need hand cannon kills in general in Gambit and invaders just add more progress. Also the way I did my 25 precision hand cannon kills was with a Duke MK 44 and Eriana's Vow in Momentum Control. I do not like Crucible but I got it done within 4 matches despite getting hit with Jade Rabbit a lot.
No one is forcing you to finish the quest. I dislike pvp myself, but I still finished it. Completely worth it in my opinion because of how good ace is in both pvp, and pve. Also, the gambit kills are more of a pain in the ass than the precision ones in the crucible are.
spruland well, getting these exotics are supposed to be tough, tbh, if it was all just pve, then that would be too easy and be boring, everyone would have it.
@Danny Caracciolo 1. You don't buy the masterwork, it's a random drop in PvE activities, and the light level of the hand cannon you use doesn't matter 2. I didn't use crimson the first time I did the quest for Ace. I started out using a ten paces, and then switched to a better devils when I had one drop after a crucible match. The quest wasn't hard before, and Bungie made it easier cause of all the pussies that bitched about having to kill 5 invaders in gambit.
Dear fellow hunters, at the 4:07 timemark, datto and his superior titan floating skills can make it up there with ease. If you want to get up there, look at where datto went and there should be a pointy rock up there. Make sure you have triple jump equipped and then jump to the nearest flat rock u can make. thatll get u up there.
Its a shame that Bungo continues to force me to play PvP. Im bad. My teammates are dragged down because of me. The other team gets easy kills. I want to die IRL. It will probably be a month or two before I get the Ace. Edit: Theyve changed how the Gambit part of the quest works, so it should be easier. P.S. I have the Ace now.
Literally just last night on May 25, 2020, I finally decided to stop putting off the quest because of the crucible and gambit steps and got Ace of Spades lol. There was just so much stuff I would have rather done than play freaking crucible
For anyone who's feeling a bit intimidated by the 25 precision hand cannon shots, I'm pretty much strictly a PVE player, and honestly it's not as hard as it sounds! I went with Crimson for mine (it feels a bit more forgiving as far as headshots go). I think I got all my shots in about 6 or 7 Control matches. Not easy if you're up against a bunch of sweats, but certainly doable!
Eh, Gambit is a bitch regardless because Crimson doesn't do enough damage to break the invader's shield and their other shield AND their actual HP. By the time you break their second shield, you're most likely gonna be dead.
Might be worth mentioning that the gambit portion was changed at some point. Killing regular enemies now counts toward an overall percentage but invader kills count more towards completion. Not sure of the exact kill count but I knocked it out in 3.5 games just killing stuff with a hand cannon religiously.

@@Ffom177 yes, although your teammates can steal your kills and the enemy's can be overwhelming. Whereas Rumble, you are 1 v 5 others which leaves more chance of success. Took me 40m in rumble, gotta be quicker
For everyone watching in 2019 you no longer need to kill five invaders you just need to get kills to n gambit (this includes scorn, fallen, hive, etc.)
The invader kills were pretty easy for me, but that might be because my teammates might've known that I was trying to get those kills cause they kept leading the person who was invading to me, so I could kill them. Got those kills done in one round (and helped two of my teammates do the same in the same gambit match). I love my ace. Completely worth the the time in gambit, and the crucible. The ornament (that I don't think I should have) makes ace look even better as well.
I tried using last word on console to get the precision kills 12 hours later I had 12/25 realised I had service revolver in my collections and then proceeded to get 20 precision kills in a rumble match literally the next game lol
For anyone struggling with the first step, you can kill regular enemies in Gambit for 1%. This is a much easier route to go, depending on how good you are at hunting Invaders, because you can just use something like Sunshot or Thorn to kill 100 small ads.
Well Datto, i did the Crucible stage and it was the worst grind i have ever been on, my brain and body hurts right now and i will never do the quest on my other characters ever, i hated it one hundred percent and you said it would take 5 games or so to complete that stage, more like 200 you meant to say as i SUCK at PVP
I wish they would combine and give the option during the 250 strike/25 crucible kills. Don't force players to do an activity they don't enjoy as much, just give us the option to do one or the other.
If you are looking at the quest in 2020, they've changed the first step. As long as you kill stuff in Gambit with a handcannon it count towards the progress, guardians count more towards the percent, but regulars enemies are fine too. I just started it today and I've only killed guardians while invading.
Ok. Never got this quest, don’t have DLCs, heard you can get it without quest. Obviously after the newest update, Gambit has been kinda removed as far as I have seen from non-DLC players (correct me if I am wrong). Anyone wanna help me understand dis lol This seems like one of the few hand cannons I might have a chance with (and the other is a Legendary). So, aside from a random possibility from Xur (if it is even possible to get it from him), can anyone tell me if there is a non-DLC method of getting this gun without going through the very unlikely chance I will get it from Xur and without having to spend 60+ dollars for the DLCs?
Tip: If you have the Crimson exotic hand cannon, the 3 round burst makes head shots fairly easy. I did all 25 in about 4 rounds... Mostly due to crap connection kicking in. First round I got 3, second up to 12, third round to 21, fourth last 4.
Steps are still in the game. The only different one is the 5 invader kills which were changed I think. You just have to finish up until Forsaken campaign to start it up
The reason people watch these videos despite the fact that the quest is simple is that we want to see every step at once to see how much time it will take.

Practice on dregs or something,go into private match and just memorize the maps. Thats what i did in D1 and I became better. D2 IDK just practice in Crucible just try

It’s honestly not that bad. Using Crimson in Rumble makes this pretty easy, and although I enjoy PvP a lot, I’d say it’s pretty simple.

@Danny Caracciolo 1. You don't buy the masterwork, it's a random drop in PvE activities, and the light level of the hand cannon you use doesn't matter 2. I didn't use crimson the first time I did the quest for Ace. I started out using a ten paces, and then switched to a better devils when I had one drop after a crucible match. The quest wasn't hard before, and Bungie made it easier cause of all the pussies that bitched about having to kill 5 invaders in gambit.

Dear fellow hunters, at the 4:07 timemark, datto and his superior titan floating skills can make it up there with ease. If you want to get up there, look at where datto went and there should be a pointy rock up there. Make sure you have triple jump equipped and then jump to the nearest flat rock u can make. thatll get u up there.
Its a shame that Bungo continues to force me to play PvP. Im bad. My teammates are dragged down because of me. The other team gets easy kills. I want to die IRL. It will probably be a month or two before I get the Ace.
Edit: Theyve changed how the Gambit part of the quest works, so it should be easier.

Literally just last night on May 25, 2020, I finally decided to stop putting off the quest because of the crucible and gambit steps and got Ace of Spades lol.
There was just so much stuff I would have rather done than play freaking crucible

For anyone who's feeling a bit intimidated by the 25 precision hand cannon shots, I'm pretty much strictly a PVE player, and honestly it's not as hard as it sounds! I went with Crimson for mine (it feels a bit more forgiving as far as headshots go). I think I got all my shots in about 6 or 7 Control matches. Not easy if you're up against a bunch of sweats, but certainly doable!

Eh, Gambit is a bitch regardless because Crimson doesn't do enough damage to break the invader's shield and their other shield AND their actual HP. By the time you break their second shield, you're most likely gonna be dead.

Might be worth mentioning that the gambit portion was changed at some point. Killing regular enemies now counts toward an overall percentage but invader kills count more towards completion. Not sure of the exact kill count but I knocked it out in 3.5 games just killing stuff with a hand cannon religiously.

Whereas Rumble, you are 1 v 5 others which leaves more chance of success. Took me 40m in rumble, gotta be quicker

For everyone watching in 2019 you no longer need to kill five invaders you just need to get kills to n gambit (this includes scorn, fallen, hive, etc.)

The invader kills were pretty easy for me, but that might be because my teammates might've known that I was trying to get those kills cause they kept leading the person who was invading to me, so I could kill them. Got those kills done in one round (and helped two of my teammates do the same in the same gambit match). I love my ace. Completely worth the the time in gambit, and the crucible. The ornament (that I don't think I should have) makes ace look even better as well.

I tried using last word on console to get the precision kills 12 hours later I had 12/25 realised I had service revolver in my collections and then proceeded to get 20 precision kills in a rumble match literally the next game lol

For anyone struggling with the first step, you can kill regular enemies in Gambit for 1%. This is a much easier route to go, depending on how good you are at hunting Invaders, because you can just use something like Sunshot or Thorn to kill 100 small ads.

Well Datto, i did the Crucible stage and it was the worst grind i have ever been on, my brain and body hurts right now and i will never do the quest on my other characters ever, i hated it one hundred percent and you said it would take 5 games or so to complete that stage, more like 200 you meant to say as i SUCK at PVP

If you are looking at the quest in 2020, they've changed the first step. As long as you kill stuff in Gambit with a handcannon it count towards the progress, guardians count more towards the percent, but regulars enemies are fine too. I just started it today and I've only killed guardians while invading.
Ok. Never got this quest, don’t have DLCs, heard you can get it without quest. Obviously after the newest update, Gambit has been kinda removed as far as I have seen from non-DLC players (correct me if I am wrong).

Tip:
If you have the Crimson exotic hand cannon, the 3 round burst makes head shots fairly easy. I did all 25 in about 4 rounds... Mostly due to crap connection kicking in. First round I got 3, second up to 12, third round to 21, fourth last 4.

Steps are still in the game. The only different one is the 5 invader kills which were changed I think. You just have to finish up until Forsaken campaign to start it up
