I agree with you that the writers can add exciting, non-romance related drama especially involving Amy by her intereacting with(if it can't be Ty) preferably the older more popular characters to solve various problems( Lindy growing up, etc. ), not just those that are horse related. Assuming Ty won't return, those Ty and Amy fans(which is the reason for the series success) would continue to watch if the writers include more references to Ty by Amy especially Amy telling Lindy what a great father, husband and family person he was, and that he was her soulmate and someone she whole-heartedly loves every day and that he can't ever be replaced. The writers simply can't afford to let Ty be forgotten after the fans intimately got to know him over a 14 year period because the high number of views on the netflix chart are primarily those episodes starring Ty.
Well put! I know the families in our area plus multi relatives would watch if Heartland was not a soap opera and no new guy for Amy! Let someone else take over the romance side of things! Amy & Lyndy show and add a couple female friends for Amy. I really miss the vet part of the show. Need Scott back and have him train Logan! Logan kinda started out like Ty did! Would be neat if he followed in Ty's shoes! Get rid of the mayor garbage of the show and somehow lose Tim/Jessica( the freeloaders). Increase Jack's role! I would like Mallory and Jake somehow involved. If Lisa is involved it has to be she remains at the ranch ,no more traveling! I like Logan's girlfriend and thought they were heading in right direction with her as barrel racing instructor teaching Lyndy! I just haven't got attached to Katie yet! Poetry/writing doesn't work for me!! Like to see the Dude ranch & Maggie's get active! I am tired of the Lou/ Peter on again off again! Would have preferred Lou/Scott or maybe Lou/Mitch. Either way it's time Lou settles down! And my don't wanna see list is: no Nathan, and don't even think of bringing back Chase, Amhed, Jesse or Jeremy! This will for sure be last season so finish off on a positive/ happy note for all especially Jack Lyndy! Notice I didn't say Amy!!! I have never been a fan of hers with her treatment of Ty over the years and Soraya! Not a gal I would want a son to hook up with!! Good with horses, not so good with people! And for a grand finally for the last episode bring back the key characters for one last thank you for there role in Heartland! Ashley, Caleb, Scott, Georgi, Mallory, Jake, Soraya, Mrs Bell, Mitch and even Val!! And of course the best actor that was on Heartland and in my opinion the one who played the biggest role in Heartlands success for 13 seasons Graham Wardle!! Enjoyed his storyline the most ( from a troubled teen slowly grasping the concepts of a ranch, getting his education, becoming a vet, a good husband and even better father)!!All while putting up with Amy!! Have you checked out the HEARTLAND ARTICLE AUCTION, last checked, the Cowboy Hat Amy wears in season 1 and 2 is currently at 1100.00 and TY's Cowboy Hat was130.00. The horseshoe from Season 15 is at 200.00. The painting that Jane did in season 13 is currently at 200.00. But back to HEARTLAND I would like to see Victor Whitetail and Luke return to HEARTLAND for a visit. But I would also like to see AMY finally actually tell Lyndy a story or two about her dad. And I would like to see Jack to do the same instead of ERASING TY BORDEN from the HEARTLAND RANCH. In Season 17 during the Family Cattle Drive Jack DISSED TY BORDEN, Jack said that the Bartlett Fleming Morris Clan will never go down without a fight. SHOULDN'T Jack have said that the Bartlett Fleming Morris Borden Clan will never go down without a fight??? Or did LYNDY MARION BORDEN change her last name to Fleming??? SEASON 18 would have been TY and AMYS 10th Wedding Anniversary according to the storyline. Amy should have a couple of EPISODE MEMORY FLASHBACKS and suggest a Memorial Ride for their Anniversary. They did a 10-year Ride for Marion why not for TY and AMYS Anniversary!!!

I would bet that most of these streaming increases are coming from new folks still watching the earlier seasons that Graham Wardle was in. Would be interesting to see how many folks are still watching Heartland that watched it 10 years ago. My guess, a large portion are not watching the new seasons now.

I agree on with the introduction of so many new characters that don't really add anything to the show. Not a fan of Logan or Parker.

❤I would Love to see Heartland continue for more seasons to come I would love to see Amber take over the ranch and Lou run the business side of it like she’s always been doing. Here in the US, we have a soap opera General Hospital running 60 years and still going strong. We have Law and Order SUV. Running 24 years.
HEARTLAND it’s a great family show for all ages and I see it continuing for years to come
Last season for sure! No storyline and some key actors will be retiring or moving on to other interests. Just saying from beautiful foothills of Alberta 🇨🇦🤠🐎

I loved Ty, but their love story was too perfect and getting old. Yes, please , the family and Amy should talk about him to his daughter. Could do without the gay story. When is Georgia going to the Olympics? Where is Jade? Loved almost all of the characters except Peter. He treated Lou like crap.

I think it was good for the show that Ty left. It opened up more storylines and let Amy come forward more, which was needed. I hope Scott gets more screen time in the coming seasons.
