I think he is not at all right for her. He’s boring and I just don’t see the chemistry between them. I sure hope they don’t put her with him or anyone, Ty was the only one for her. She doesn’t need another man in her life.

As a Heartland fan, bringing Ty back would be the ultimate series success story. However, even if he doesn't return the show should focus on the reason true fans continue watch Heartland, and that is Amy and Ty's love story. Amy dating and her relationship with Nathan(some say is Ty's replacement} is simply the writers keeping the show interesting and not boring. Some have said Amy deserves happiness and should remarry like Jack and Tim. Remember, Tim and Jack remarrying is entirely different than Amy's situation because the fans have had 14 years to know and love Ty which can't be erased. In the end, Ty can't be replaced and Amy's overwhelming love and connection to Ty will prevail. Heartland will end with Amy finding her happiness and place as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted.
I agree with your statement , Amy always wanted to be like her mom, her mom was a single mom raising her daughters and working with troubled horses, she never had another man, perfect example Victor Whitetail wanted to have a relationship with her, and Marion said that she heart already belonged to another, Tim Fleming and that it always would...Marion was a single mom and that was by her choice, a woman can be happy raising her daughter without a man, where does it say that a woman needs a man to be happy.
What Amy and Ty had was unique, and not everyone is lucky to find that connection, sometimes you go your whole like without finding that special mate wish such a strong connection, your soul mate, which is what Amy said Ty was to her..
She should not get another man, however this is just my opinion, do not want to offend anyone..blessings to all.
People will find out that Nathan is no good. He is out to put heartland beef out of business. He just using Amy
Nathan went to school with Lou so he’s about 9 or 10 years older than Amy so that makes him about 42 or 43 and Amy is only 33 so it’s like he is an old man compared to her! Ty was only 2 years older so their interest were the same and I feel that Nathan interests are all about his business! What a way to get in act like he cares for Amy 😡😡

The love story between Amy and Ty was always the best part of watching Heartland. It was such a loving, and powerful relationship that most would characterize it as perfect. That is why many fans continue to watch the series for any reference or inclusion of Ty in the lives of Amy and lindy. In my opinion, the writers don't do enough of Amy talking about Ty especially to Lindy. The introduction of Nathan as Amy's new love interest or as some would say the new Ty is only to keep things interesting and not boring. In the end, the Amy and Lyndy connection to Ty will always prevail over everything else including any new love interest for Amy
unfortunately a romance between Nathan and Amy is the epitome of boring! lol, and yes lets hope there are more references to Ty-perhaps the most interesting character that was ever on the show. Can you tell Im a fan of Tyland lol?

I concur with your statement as well, the writers should definitely do more of corporating Amy talking to Lindy about her dadda Ty , he was such a great dad, loved Lindy so much , and looks like he is never brought up ro Lindy anymore.
I also read on one of these posts one time, that on one of the new season episodes, not really sure which one since I don't watch past season 13 when Ty left..
There was an episode where I think it was Lindy that was naming every stone and didn't even mention her dada, Ty's stone , that's just not right, he and Any are the biggest reason Heartland is what it is today...
Writers are just no longer mentioning Ty any longer? He doesn't have to be mentioned every day, just keep him in Lindy 's life enough for her not to forget the loving dadda that she had, and I am referring to Ty, not any new relationship that Amy get ,Lindy will be calling dad, and I don't think that is right either.

The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
I think Amy will be like her mother Marion only one man will truly have her heart and that will always be Ty!! In season 18 Amy will be 33 and her mother was 36 when Tim and her split and also Amy said that Ty gave me enough love to last a lifetime ❤❤ and I think that every time she thinks about someone else she feels like she is cheating on Ty, because their love was so strong ❤❤

I agree with you, I really am a Ty and Amy love story fan, i am aware that he is no longer with the show since season 14, however my opinion, and this is only my opinion, don't want to offend anyone.
Honestly i don't think Tu really wanted to leave, he wanted to produce some episodes and that was not possible, he loves writing and telling stories, he is very food aa well, i have both of his poetry books, and follow him on his podcast, he is a very special person, very unique.
And the true reason why Ty left the show I think will never be known, yes !!! He has said on interviews the reason he left just because that's what he needed to do, i don't think the real reason will ever be said.
I sropped watchinv Heartland when Ty left, i do however follow most of the videos which i think Amy and Nathan are not a good couple...he is not the right man for her.
Amy and Ty had a very special relationship, connection, their chemistry was amazing and can't ever be duplicated.
They started very young building a beautiful friendship as teenagers that grew into love with time, just like a real relationship it did not come without trials and tribulations, however their yrue love overcame it all..
We could feel the effection in their bugs, the way they looks at each other, they truly jave a very deep strong connection for even if they are not in a relationship in real life..
One of my very special scene where Ty and Amy embraced so beautifully was the episode where Ty and Amy were going to Mongolia together, ty was capitve, Amy looking for him, when they found each other and embraced, it was soooooo heartfelt, ot just seemed so real.
This is just somethinh that Amy will NEVER have with any other man, no matter how much the writers want to keep trying to find a man for Amy, find one that somewhat looks a bit like Ty, however is not nor he will ever be Ty.
Amy should be like her mom and do what she loves, work with troubled horses and raise her and Ty's beautiful baby girl Lyndi, juat like her mom did with her and Lou.
Amy may smile with Nathan, however it is a forced smile, she is acting, therr is no happiness in her eyes, seems like her soul is gone, with Ty it just came natural, no acting involved, they laughed so bright just like the sun with sparkle.
All of Amy's relationships will be boring .
Just keep Ty in Lindys life so she does not forget him, talk of him to her once in a while, it does not have to be all the time.
Anyway !! I wish fhe ahow success, i just will not be watching it.

if you haven't read it yet, I think you should read this new Heartland Parody out called Tyland. You can find it on Amazon. Anyways, I have a distinct feeling you will enjoy it and it goes into some very funny speculation on why Ty is no longer a character on the show, and you make alot of good points!
Yes Rosa as I see it you are bang on! I am not sure if it's that I can not, or do not want to see this show with anything other than Ty & Amy ! Likely the latter! 13 seasons of watching them grow, there ups and downs like normal people do gets entrenched in a person! And then one leaves and the story is no longer there! I am one that has no interest in watching the direction this show has taken! The writers have thrown nothing but divorcees, away over-aged men or in Finns case a guy who had secrets, resided on the Sask farm with his former fiancee and led Amy on, thinking he had no issues that eventually came back to haunt him! Worst part I believe they would have made Finn, Amy's new man had it not been for the death of Robert Cormier 🙏🙏! That is when I would have shut Heartland down!! Simply put it may be the best of the worst shows still on TV but my storyline for this show was over the moment Graham left the show!! There were so many happy endings they could have pursued. But know MONEY$$$$$$ talks and they opted to turn this enjoyable Sunday evening Family Show into a Soap Opera, something that has no part with the word "Family"!! They have lost so many fans at least in Canada and yes I am told is still somewhat popular in other countries but would be surprised to the extent it was when Graham was in it! As I reside near the filming area and being a Albertan I know the various community people enjoy having a star like Amber Marshall residing here. But also know they are not happy with the revamped Heartland and it certainly does not depict the Alberta family farm story they have gone too!! You are wrong on the ages. Amy was 15 and Ty was 17 when the show started. He would not have been on juvenile probation is he was 18. Amy's 16th birthday was season 2 episode 1.
i thought so too… but remember when he said I’m what how many years older than everybody else in high school when going to Amy’s formal with her? being just 2 years older…that seems odd then And then also it would be underage drinking too… let’s split the difference and said he was 18! lol
I think that Heartland now has no real storyline! It could be how Amy has moved on with her work with horses and teaching her skills to her and Ty’s sweet daughter Lyndy! She needs to have a place for Lyndy and her to go and talk to Ty and keep his love alive in her and Lyndy’s hearts ❤️ He did die saving Amy from a deadly gunshot 😢 Keep Ty’s love alive in Amy’s heart forever 😢😢❤❤

I think you had a lot of good points but what if the writers is coming up with Nathan back story and they what us to believe that Nathan is a bad guy for Amy. I mean yes we did see a lot of Amy and ty story’s but I think that if Amy went to be with Nathan than that a chance we have to play. But my opinion is that we shouldn’t judge him for ty but look at what he is doing with Amy I mean he is making her smile and be happy again so I say why not let go of it.😊

I think it is premature to say Amy is in love with Nathan. She does show signs that she finds him interesting and wants to get to know him better. Amy and Ty had a hot and cold relationship for a long time before they settled in to their relationship, growing pains. I don't think Amy is looking for a Ty clone to replace him but someone she can respect and develop a close intimate relationship with. The Ty/Amy relationship was unique and is what it was may it RIP. Now let Amy move on with her life and not expect whomever she moves on with having to live in Ty's shadow. Having to live in Ty's shadow will destroy any relationship Amy moves into.
I think Nathan and Amy are a good mix. There weren’t as many episodes with this past season and I’m looking forward to seeing Amy and Nathan walking down the aisle 👰
