I have the blue version of this watch and it is my favorite of my collection. May you have many many more years of enjoyment with it.
I had a terrible time deciding between the 300M and Planet Ocean. I went with the 300M, but after only a few months traded for the PO. I don't regret it. The PO is the watch that first caught my fancy when beginning to collect. But I didn't go with it because there was so much else to explore. It is strange how our initial obsessions refuse to abandon us.
Sold me sd43 Rolex for one of these. Absolutely no regrets. The fit for 7’5 inch wrist is spot on. The rubber strap is worth having as well. Omega nailed this one with accuracy. Keeper😄
Re: the scratches on the bracelet, you can get an oversized mouse pad or leather desk mat to save it from more unnecessary scratches and is much more comfy than banging it on the table
Can’t go wrong with an Omega 👌
Agreed
Hell yea man!!, I couldn’t agree more. I got 4 seamasters and I just can’t get enough of em.
Facts
A few days ago I bought 300 with a blue dial, it will be interesting to see how it holds up against my Rolex, had that over 20 years and although not the best time keeper the case and glass is bullet proof. My omega reminds me of my sub in so many ways
The micro adjustment of the bracelet really lets you hide the size of the watch because, with the micro adjustments, it can ALWAYS FIT PERFECTLY. Had the exact same watch since December 2018. I love mine and it's been rock solid as well. Great update!!
What's it like in the future?
@@dudeymcduderson Surprisingly underwhelming. 😂🫠
You can remove the scuffs on the locking buckle with an Emory board. Works for my Sea Master😉
I think you should have done this video wearing the powerglove in the background.
But, seriously, I have owned my Seamaster for only around 3 months. I find I like it more and more each time I put it on. Thanks for the video.
Lol the PowerGlove would have been a great idea! 🤣
I put mine on a rubber zealande and it totally transformed the experience. The bracelet is gorgeous but frankly too heavy even for my 7.25 inch wrist. But on rubber its fantastic
I’ve got the white version on the bracelet, and can’t seem to take it off my wrist! It’s fun, durable, handsome and infinitely adjustable. And while I originally was upset with the scratches that would show up on the clasp, I’ve actually come to enjoy them. I know, odd. And, on my 7” wrist, it looks perfect.
I'm on my 3rd 300M diver. Sold the 90s version, still wearing my 2018 SS/blue, and have another 25th anniversary version in SS/yellow gold, inbound. Concur the watch wears perfectly, for me, on my 6.75"/171mm wrist. :)
Excellent review very well put together as good as any professional.Always wanted an omega have mine 14 years now and I still love it . Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.🇮🇪
You're very welcome and appreciated the kind words. 😊
This is such an amazing watch a person could stop here, congrats, upvoted!!!
Thank you so much.
0:26 sounds like you have a healthy high fibre diet. Nice recap on the watch, I’m tempted to get one of these and ditch all the data I get from my Garmin. Do I really need to precisely measure my sleep and step count? not really is the answer, just get on with life.
well said, my favorite watch in my collection I personally don't like the bracelet. I have mine on the Omega rubber strap.
It looks very nice on the rubber strap. I have been tempted to pick one up myself.
I’m very surprised Gambino did not have a shot with a strap. I use mine mostly on a single strap ribbed nato and is very good looking. I have the same size wrist.
Great 2 watches from Omega! I have the same Moonwatch Hesalite and Seamaster 300 vintage 2nd gen. Great and super reliable watches that can be dressed down or up. Only negative of this SMP300 is non tapering bracelet and massive clasp. Everything else is fantastic.
Thanks for the longer term review!
You are very welcome. 😊⌚️👍🏼
It was the shots of that gorgeous $5k Seamaster positioned beautifully in the ant farm that sold me...
🤣🐜⌚️❤️
Man that is a dream watch! Love it.
Long time , no see , brother . I own the 007 model . I wear mine on a Ritchie soft silicone strap . I can't stand bracelets . Mine is 41 mm , 12 mm thick ( including the dome crystal ) and it is also quartz ( I wanted it that way ) this thing is 26 years old and it still looks and works as new , I replaced the bezel for a ceramic one due to natural discoloration and the obvious changes of battery . nothing else , not a single hiccup .
Hello Armando. I am happy to hear your Omega 300 has held up against time. I'm looking forward to owning and wearing mine for a long time. 😎👍🏼⌚️
Good review.
I have the white dial version and have had it for 6 months.
For me it's a keeper as well.
Bracelet or rubber strap? I have rubber strap thinking of getting a Bracelet.
@@sashnaumoski7479 hey
I have mine on bracelet. Its my first luxury watch thats why didn't go for the rubber strap.
If I ad other bracelet watches to collection then probably will change this to the rubber strap.
FYI the bracelet is good and especially for my wrists the changing on the clasps size is easy without removing the watch.
The only thing I would change is would prefer a taper.
@@danisheverblue thanks mate take care 🙏
Personally I’d go with the Seamaster for its versatility. But both pieces are stunning
I just bought the blue version, I notice that the waves are more visible on the black dial.
I have this in white dial. I tend to only get sctatches on the clasp because I lean on things with my forearm. I really struggle to find fault with it though its just an amazing watch. The coaxial escapement and sapphire crystal caseback are just such good selling points
Damn your SMP300 looks like it's well worn and loved! ...I baby the hell out of mine 😂 ...keep enjoying it mate!
Beautiful.
Do you find it to heavy?
thanks 4 re-review… let me ask; did u notice any tiny scratches on anti-reflective coating on crystall with macro lens?
So far, I have not.
wonderful watch! great watch! I dont like the bezel action and the bracelet..
I own the white dial Seamaster and iove it
That white dial version is pretty sharp. ⌚️👍🏼
Maybe I go for the green🙈
Awesome man! Beautiful watch. Bit of an odd question, how much does it weight as I have the same wrist size as you. Cheers
Thank you. I will try to order a digital scale soon.
I bought one years ago for £700 excellent watch but my wrist was always getting black even though I was cleaning the bracelet regularly I got fed with it and took it into a jeweler for cleaning, unfortunately whilst out on my mountain bike I lost my watch I strongly believe that a pin had come out of bracelet and I never know anything about it I retraced my route but to avail I was gutted 😢
If it was £700 you were clearly conned as you bought a fake. Even the quartz Seamaster I bought in 1997 was £895 so god knows where you got one for £700.
Wish it was a 39mm watch with a 46mm L2L, 18/19mm lugs and a tapering bracelet/smaller clasp. That would be incredible. I think there would actually be waiting lists if they brought out a 38/39 to sit alongside the 42. No one would buy any other diver.
Absolutely spot on here, I had the black version bought in 2019 in the UK - the price has increased in price by about 18% since too. For me, it’s too big, the clasp is huge, the bracelet is nice but needs some taper. I marked the external AR coating too which is annoying! I think the new green is disappointing too, it’s a touch too dark.
@@jamesbramwell1454 I like the green but the thickness, lug-to-lug and non-tapering bracelet is still a dealbreaker. Watch brands are slowly moving away from NBA players and bodybuilders - so we may see Omega release some smaller offerings in time.
@@UCZ15 let’s hope so
Because other than the blue NTTD - which I wouldn’t buy anyway - nothing from Omega has excited me at all, but that’s just me.
Company is offering an Omega or Breitling watch for my 25yr milestone. So here I am looking for reviews
Omega……
Exactly as you said. Same wrist size as me and with the bracelet and lug to lug only being 50mm it wears smaller than it suggests. The Seamaster is a very solid beater and adjustment on the bracelet is excellent
I also have the 3861 Speedy too and like that as well but use more as a dress watch. Just wish it had micro adjust clasp like the new gold one then would be perfect.
.
What wrist size are you? I didnt catch it in the video :D
@@peterslastad2507 888 all different sizes
I use clear sticky tape on the clasp works a treat 😁
This is my favourite watch
i just buy a blue one love it you can also get the scuffs polished out by an omega service mate
any update? I'm torn between buying it directly at Omega or Jomashop.
Good's review I have the white Dial myself I like it it's a bit chunky ass I have big hands and wrist so for me it's perfect
Great update video !
Thanks Chris.
Hi, would you mind telling us whether you’ve had any problems with the clasp, please? It seems to the be the area most Seamaster owners have a problem with, which is disappointing considering how much it costs to buy. Thanks.
I have never had any issues with the clasp. What kind of problems have been reported?
@@thegreatgambinowatchreviews Hi, I mean the pushers on the clasp sticking so you can’t depress them to secure the bracelet to your wrist. Numerous people have reported this same problem.
What is the lume like for you? Mine is awful 😢
You sleep with a seamaster?? 😂 i have 3 seamasters 300m and i would never do that ! You are next level 👍
looks perfect on your wrist, leave the small watches for the ladies!
Ma786sai Dua Tremendous review. Is the sapphire have a heavily domed curve on top?
Thank you so much. It's not heavily domed, but you would never mistake it for flat.
If they made a 39mm I'd buy it now
What would a watch review be with this obligatory comment.
They have a 41mm Heritage model that also wears thinner
I can’t decide if I want the black or white dial. I’m leaning black. I have a black sinn104 as my one watch collection.
That's a hard decision. They both look amazing.
Blue is the best colour it really captures the ocean it looks almost black in dull lighting and really pop's in bright weather I wouldn't hesitate with any other colour but I like the colour blue anyway.
which one will you choose for your only Omega watch? My wrist is small but I am very tall so no watch look too big on me.I like the Seamaster but it doesn't tapper the bracelet only the new green version does but green don't go with everything.
I wear my Seamaster more often than anything else but if I could only have one it would probably be my 2021 Speedmaster. It's an iconic piece that fits my wrist perfectly. 😎👍⌚
The new green version doesn't taper (bracelet wise). It's the same.
anyway, just curious, is the new omega seamaster bezel have some fraction of a mm "play" on the bezel? its like the bezel have a bit of give movement...really tiny side to side movement..is it normal? its like tiny bit loose but i know its not actually loose...and have small metallic sound when you tap the bezel...some people said that's not flaw as long as there is perfect alignment, but i don't know, what do you think? i was quite panic when i first received the watch.
I used to owned breitling avenger chrono 43 mm and i feel breitling bezel is rock solid and a bit stiff to turn (well sometimes too stiff to turn).
I totally agree. Art
Much better than a submariner
💯
Couldn’t agree more. Great piece.
Damn, I’m an editor too. What do you edit to afford a couple of omegas and more 😅
Hey mate,
When buying from Jomashop did it come with full box and papers? (although the warranty card isnt filled)
It came with everything except the warranty card.
@@thegreatgambinowatchreviews thank you mate!
I really fancy the two tone (yellow gold on blue) seamaster 300m
@@mickeydee3595 That one is pretty sharp looking. 👌🏽
I don’t know if I can get over the helium escape valve
I love that wave dial! wish that it was a little smaller for it to be unisex so I could wear it
Nice video mate 🇬🇧 top watch
Thank you. 😎👍🏼⌚️
I want this watch as a gift from u sir
I'll be getting this in the new green colour when it's available to buy.
That new green looks pretty sharp.
Ordered mine! 👌🏻
It's out now to buy,are you asking for a discount at the store as I will be asking them as I won't buy it without atleast 15-20% off
@@mikeymike1854 Yes, but I know my AD personally so I always get a discount (well not on you know what watches 😅). Don't know if 20% will be realistic though.
@@GenjiG omega, breitling, they give Ads atleast 45% mark up,they can give 15-20% its just putting the manager in a position to give it,if not I'll go to another jewlery store, its not that omega are selling out ,plenty to choose from, from many stores too.
Good thing is that most adult men don't have the wrist size of a 9-year-old girl so no, 42 mm is not too large.
How's your external AR coating on the crystal after 1 year? Any scratches?
Excellent. I have not noticed any scratches at all.
That is great. I have the blue one on rubber and I want to wear it as my daily rotation. Good to know that the AR is durable.
Had mine for almost 3 years, flawless AR coating still
I have this exact one. Owned since late 2018. I have punished my Crystal and the AR coating only recent has a few micro defects that I can't see without a loupe (and I have 20:10 vision). Even in bright sunlight, its encounters with rusty Porsche headers and brick walls don't show. Pretty impressive for just a coating. The coating is more durable than some sapphire crystals I've owned.
I had this model in blue for 18months but sold it as was too big, bought the previous ceramic smooth dial version which is much nicer
How did you scuff up your watch like this? Are you a construction worker? I have a Longines as a daily (desk) diver for about 2 years and it looks brand new compared to your Omega. 😜 But I love this look though! Maybe I should wear my watches to the gym. 😂🤝
Most of the scuffs are very hard to see in person. The macro lens really does exaggerate the scratches. As far as the clasp damage, it is most likely because I am a lefty and end up using my watch hand for writing. ✌🏽😎⌚️
@@thegreatgambinowatchreviews Cheers mate! Love the review! Keep wearing that beauty in good health! 💯
@@bigbrotherwatchesdannyboy306 Thank you. 😁
Tudor BB 58 got the size right.
Excellent update video! Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you. ✌🏼😁⌚️
Love it more with the gum strap☺️
What's your wrist size? Sorry if I missed it.
No worries. 6.75in 😎👍🏼
I have a blue one on rubber. Is it worth buying a SS strap?
I like the look of both the stainless steel bracelet and the rubber strap. It could be great to have the two for a nice seasonal change-up. That's just my personal opinion.
The ants, in the outdoor shot, seem to like it as well!
Lol I shot that purposely. Lol glad someone finally noticed.
I've owned one since new in 2019 and it's been a great daily watch for me. So far I've had issues with the watch losing about 16 seconds a day but I sent it away to Omega and now its +5secs a day. Wished it was as accurate as my Rolex Explorer 39mm. Another issue that bugs me with this watch is the anti reflective coating on the outside. It scratches so easily and its really visible.. But overall its a great looking watch.
I wear this watch as a daily for the past year and the accuracy is extremely good, gaining 0 to +1 seconds a day. Also, the crystal doesn’t have any AR scratches.
@@diavalus That matches my experience. Keeps incredible time.
Nice, the white dial version is definitely on my grail list!
It's just the right size, for me that is.
Sold mine after a year because of the bracelet. Just too heavy and bulky for my day to day wear. The taper on the Speedy looks better suited to my taste.
You know you can change the bracelet with rubber one right?
@@CagdasMonster937 Ya, I often wore it on an Omega Nato or other aftermarket straps. At the end of the day, I really just wanted to wear it on a bracelet as it was intended, but also a bracelet I found more comfortable.
@@JupiterTarts I was finding bracelet more comfortable before and changed my mind for now. Maybe because of the weather who knows. Diver300 have both rubber and metalic bracelet models so both are intented. But whatever suits you mate
Would love to see the new speedy compared to the seamaster!
I will have that one up in two weeks. 👍🏼
I have a new of this, it's gaining about +7.6 seconds per day, when you say keeping excellent time what should be the number? Thanks
@Prof. George C. Grasser Yes my case too, I have $300 Tissot -5 keeps better time that this 5k METAS...
If it's genuine, then it needs adjustment. Send it back to the AD.
I made a review of the SPM 300m after also owning it for a year. I will be very intrested to see what you think = Ripires Reviews :)
Great video! A bit too large for me, so I went with a Rolex Submariner.
Can't go wrong with a Submariner. 👍
Its only stainless scuffs polish out
I’d buy one
How much you pay? How much is it worth now? Not to be rude
I bought it for around 4k. I'm not sure the value used.
Dollars?
@John yes. That was the price I payed shipped with tax from Jomashop. I believe it was like 3998. USD
I do like it, the older omega you got is beautiful
@@John-vt3gt thank you. 😊
Very nice buy give me 1 reason why its worth 6600 euros
Sir please it's a request from me I want this watch but I can't afford it
The right choice? Buy both
Sleeping with your nice watch is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve head today
Better than any Rolex.
Great Video.
I love the Size 42m awesome looking watch
Thank you. Omega did an amazing job with this one. 😎👍🏼⌚️
What's your daily + - acuraccy?
I feel like I can wear this thing for over a month without losing 1 minute. It must still be well within or under the 0/+5 seconds per day. It keeps excellent time.
@@thegreatgambinowatchreviews mine has been 15+ over a two week period. 1 second + per day
Flower in the background was uber cheesy
To all those haters wanting it to be smaller - may I introduce the ladies' line.
AMEN. 💯
Omegas tiny dick? 🤣
Big watch do not make penis larger 😁
😂 👍🏼
Comments be like: if there would be a 36mm i would buy it in a heartbeat
Accuracy?
I do not know exactly but it's definitely under 5 seconds a day. I can wear this piece for a month and not lose one minute. The 8800 is the most accurate movement in my collection.
@@thegreatgambinowatchreviews Thanks 🙏 for the info. In case if you ever synchronize it, do share results. Just got one the white dial and on day one its -2. Waiting for it to settle down. Best regards from Dubai.
I suspect the issue you have is that you are wearing the watch on the hand you use the most. Which is the worst thing you can do as that will completely ruin your watch. Also, most likely you do not take the watch before doing some manual task or house chore. That amount of wear is not normal after a year. My father had an Omega for 35 years of daily wear and has almost no scratches. You are doing it wrong.
I didn’t know we need to baby tool watches
Have this watch ⌚️ hate the Bracelet because it's too heavy. Have it on a rubber strap. Less likely to get noticed or mugged for
Plus great video
Thank you so much. I am still looking to order the rubber strap.✌🏽
No ones mugging you for an Omega 😂 Rolex, yes.
@@kyleblanco5883 you will be surprised

only thing that bothers me is the ugly bracelet
