Great information everybody should watch this video. I see so many people crawl 3s brushless full power and blame the truck for breaking. Thanks for the great entertainment. 👍🏁
Thank you for making this video. My Axial SXC24 just got delivered today. Its my first RC crawler and I can say Im already in love with the hobby. Its a fun little truck.
cool little video. you know already mine have survived "forever" with the plastic gears because I'll stop as quick as wheels even begin hammering to try a little different approach. still waiting on Tx so this morning painted toolbox battery cover and pumpkin covers metallic, and the "shock" bodies red on C-14. did the mirrors with the foil/mylar of a plastic coffee can seal (4 trucks worth)... can see fairly clean reflections in them, looks good, just scissors and wood glue to attach the stuff. frustrating wait on the radio, C-14 with dual 130 motors (HobbyDaddy style), heavier/wider JJRC axles, and Fayee rims/tires... already know how stable it'll be for its size, it balances side tipped about 55 degrees! I get about 45 at most for C-24, and 40 degrees at most for MN-D90, might gain a little bit running the collars down on the oil filled shocks.. but loses flex going there (they're just top heavy lol). how I count "flex" is how high 1 wheel can lift off the table/floor, while other 3 still down. I count "twist" as angle of both axles maxed out. with stock 4-link rods if you're getting near 2" of flex you're doing pretty good, with the longer shock rods C-24 gets 27-28 degrees of twist. M3 half threaded 50 mm length cap screws cut/ground/polished to fit stock shock bodies, do need to be CA'd into shock bottoms being M3 not M4, about 5 mm negative suspension travel (and twist) is gained (for 2 bucks and a little time). there is a little advantage to be gained going threaded rod ball end "pull rods", IMHO not really seen it being enough to justify the expense, the plastic ones set up a little loose can do really well.
it'd be a pretty neat trick if they did it, an extra 1/2" at the pumpkin would go a long way. might have to be a replacement axle unit, I don't see it being a bolt on, and the fronts would be really-really difficult to make happen. what's more a concern to me is unavailability of the B-36 lower ratio gearboxes as an upgrade. I don't care about or want the 2 speed and 370 size motor in a mini crawler, the tan gearbox is great for strictly crawling+climbing, the older #316 gearbox is geared just about right for a trail walking pace. done it two methods here, dual 130 motors, one is two gearboxes "69'd" together for 1 motor powering each axle independently, other is "HobbyDaddy" "just add a motor" style. pair of 130's seems to have more torque, lower RPM, and uses less current than a single 180 motor in the same gear ratio. brainfart alert!! what'd be TRICK, is a geared N20 motor on each wheel and half hidden/tucked in the rim... portal axles? if they slid into a casing that'd keep dirt out of those tiny gears, and the rims bolted on with a set screw, might work out being pretty strong for climbing, depending on RPM gear ratio. no pumpkin, no drive shafts, etc.
@@modelnutty6503 yeah I think that too but what I mean is they made a new one especially for portal axles because the stock is very difficult to made it😅
Thanks for this info my Redcat Everest gen 7 sport will be here Monday it’s my first one I appreciate the chill and informative vibes of this video gonna sub too
I like both! Planes just need a lot of space to take off and land and also for flying. Rc boats are great fun too. I recommend the barbwire 17 by atomik rc. It has self righting abilities and that helps from having to swim for it if you flip it. If you look in the background of my videos you can see a barbwire XL which is a 24 inch instead of the 17 inch. Just not sure if they still sell it so I recommend the v2 barbwire 17.
@@RunThatRC I ordered a c24 rtr. I now I need to upgrade but I'm still learning so I really don't know what parts trip get. Lol. I know I should get a different motor but I've read that I'll need new electronics if I do that.
They are fun but I am more into helicopters and crawlers at the moment. Dont have to worry about park rangers bugging you about your permit to fly and what not. Dont have that FAA problem with crawling lol.
Thanks brother! Appreciate the support! Island love! I miss home. I lived in Honolulu for a bit but I was born in the Philippines. Now I'm in the desert lol.
Great video. Also, the tires aren't the only way to increase axel clearence. Portal axels also increase it. 👍

I break my rigs on 2s lol. 3s would end my session with the quickness lol!

I am about to get my first crawler and i think that this video is a nice little Primer for some spotter mindset ^^, thank you for that.
Glad it helps! Thanks for stopping by!
Nice bro..thanks for the knowledge and I really hope if the company made a portal axles for this model and MN model too.. It's super awesome man😍😍😍😍
