- A large splinter was removed from a dog's foot. The splinter embedded into his foot after running through a corn field. He had developed some swelling around the toe with a small draining tract. He was understandably licking the area. We removed the lesion in the exam room and he had lots of treats and extra love afterwards. He went home on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications and did very well.

The behaviour change from tense and a little scared to relaxed and curious the moment it came out is adorable. You can tell it have him relief 🥰
Human: Oh my god..
Dog: Wh-what have you found?? Let me eat it...

You've got a friend for life, doc!
How did that dog get a splinter I can already tell it’s a adorable dog
He was running through a corn field. And yes, he was very adorable.
Dogs will be dogs, theirs no telling.
He's so strong!!
Cool!
Poor baby
That happened to my dog but with a ziptie inside her foot
What is that liquid on his paw
Did you give him local anesthesia or tranquilizer to stay calm and quiet
Hany ibrahim mohamed no, it was not needed. He was a very good dog and because there was a draining tract it was open and didn’t need to be manipulated to get it out.
