    I wonder if I-vtm4 in the 23 plus pilots are mechanically similar to the latest gen sh awd

      I suspect this is the system being used in the new Pilots and labeled as 2nd gen i-VTM4. I conclude this because all the benefits SH-AWD 4th gen has, the Pilot also boasts. 30% quicker response system and can handle 40% more torque.
