Good video overall but I feel like the questions are a little loaded. For one, Islam forbids Muslim women from marrying non Muslim men. Of course some do, including in Palestine. But surely most wont like the idea because it goes against their faith. I have a feeling that most Zionists would hate this video. Zionists always want to make it seem like this is a religious conflict between innocent secular Jews vs radical Muslims and often state that Palestinian Muslims hate Christians and are radicals. As we can see from the videos of Ramallah, Bethlehem and even Nablus(more conservative and almost 100% Muslim) this isn't the case.
I'm Palestinian Christian and never had a problem with any Palestinian Muslim. Maybe it's different in Gaza but in the West Bank, especially the Ramallah/Bethlehem areas- there isn't a problem, but the Zionists want people to believe there is. That is why Zionists always try to censor Palestinian Christians from speaking. If we condemn Israel they know our voices mean a lot to the West. Just look what the former Israeli ambassador to the US did when 60 Minutes did an interview with Palestinian Christians. He called them liars then tried to get the documentary cancelled from being viewed to Americans! That says it all.
I'm a Orthodox Christian and I love Palestine and Palestinians. One people one nation :)

My mother is Christian (Armenian Orthodox to be precise), whilst my father is a sunni Muslim. I have several aunts who are Christian. Never were there any problems. We all celebrate easter, eid, christmas, etc.

It comes down to the kids folks. In Jewish tradition if the MOTHER is a Jew then the child is be default a Jew and is expected to follow the Jewish way of life. In Islam that model is opposite. It is expected the religion carries through the children via the father, hence its a necessity that the father is a Muslim and carries that religious influence to the next generations.

Yes you are right the divorce rates are high but those (christians) who divorce their husbands/ wifes cannot justify it with the bible unless the reason for divorcing is not death or not adultary. We people from the modern world are much less religious than the people who lived hundreds of years ago, i guess.

Hahah I'm Lebanese too and I was thinking with a mouth like that we need to give her the Lebanese citizenship so she can speak freely all she wants. 😍 In our society women are inherently more equal and liberal and I think she would benefit a lot from some time in Lebanon, she could go off to the West for a great education and then maybe come back to try to help the Palestinian Territories. I made my own decision to be Christian using free will & studying abroad in universities. hopefully Aroub can take your advice & come out of her shell into Lebanon to become the woman she's destined to be!.

Firstly Allah know best. Allah praises to him and his Messengers.
A man's influence is very strong in the family so with that strong influence she may start to neglect her duties as a muslim women.
Another reason men have egos natural, some stronger than some. It is very hard for a woman to convince a man to accept a different religion or foreign lifestyle but women do not have as strong ego we would analyze before we discarding a suggestion.
Finally a mother is the first teacher a child would ever have. If the Muslim mother is neglecting her duties as a muslim woman what solid Islamic influence would the youth have?

It was a stupid comment for him to make, first of all. Second of all their duty is to fast all day grom sunrise to sunset. Of course if you've been hungry and thirsty the whole day you'll eat a lot. The point is not to eat excessively, but to control themselves. Hunger is very hard to control, but if they manage to control it, their fasting is complete. So he should think first and then spit on others. Who doesn't respect others, don't respect themselves. Enough said.

The people talking around 8 and so minutes until like 12, need to seriously educate them self in the deen they follow. A Muslim woman can't marry a non Muslim man because the man is the imam on the house. He needs to be able to give you the rights allah and his messenger prescribed to you and a non Muslim man can't do that. Another reason being that, yes while you can still be a Muslim, you can't be the best Muslim you can possibly be. You will need to compromise your religion i.e having alcohol at home etc. Slowly, you WILL change! Obviously to avoid it all and I'm sure there are many more reasons as to why we can't.
The fasting part really pissed me off! Not to feel what the poor feel but to be thankful for what we have and help the need after understanding even a little bit of what they go through. Plus it's a time to increase in worship and control desires for the sake of Allah. It's a month of mercy!
Why women wear the hijab? To protect you from the thoughts of men. Only a woman who didn't wear one and wore it after can feel the difference. Men and Woman have same human rights but different role in society, we exile each other in different things (I'm speaking in general) and Allah knowing what's good for us, has given us orders to follow (also part of worship-submission).

The problem with the girl that she actually doesn't understand things right in religion. She needs someone who actually knows to answer not in your point of view. I am not a highly educated in religion but I know what I know in Islam and May Allah give us all more and more useful knowledge that he is satisfied with.
First of all, about a woman marrying a non-Muslim man. In Islam not just the wife, the children take their fathers' religion like many other religions so if he isn't a Muslim, She will have non-Muslim kids who instead teaching her family the way of god and how to work together to obtain Paradise by Allah's will, she choose a way that had a non Muslim way of living all her life and with time she will actually forget religion against her will.
Plus there's something I really don't know about it as you have to ask a Sheikh or an Imam as Actually it isn't accepted for a Muslim man to marry someone who worship something else with Allah and they're allowed to marry those who says we are Nasara which translates in today words to Christians but in Arabic I speak it, Christians in Arabic means Massehien. So maybe Muslims are only allowed to marry Christians who are originals like those who believe in one God and Jesus the Prophet like the message came in the first place not those who worship Jesus with him and Allah knows better.
To you marriage is love and just that of today's world. In Islam, to marry someone is to obtain your half of religion saved so you better not just choose a Muslim girl or man. You even better to chose a pious Muslim man or woman. as the best reason to marry someone beside beauty, wealth, ... etc is actually their religion and piety.
So, marriage is a journey of that someone that will help you when you lose your way to God to go back to him. It's a love in Allah's sake. To encourage each other to be closer to Allah and to advise them when they sin and help them back from it. To take your wife's hand to Paradise and she's the same for you. So it's not unfair like the way you think nor it's something against other religion and the evidence to you is that we have to well treat non Muslims as long as they're peaceful people who aren't trying to hurt us or Muslims and killing an innocent is so big in front of Allah.
In marriage case, it's not just a worldly thing. You should choose your partner on religious basis also to help u to be better. So tell me how a man and a family of non Muslim children will actually be better when she herself chose someone who doesn't believe in God as she believes in it? Actually even they kids will get confused especially if they both are religious in their own religion.
Plus, a Muslim father and mother should teach their children right from wrong and halal from haram and will be asked on them. So how a woman should actually go and marry another religion not just didn't give her knowledge to them but actually changed their religion to their father's when they were still young and didn't chose for themselves yet as in Islam a child is born a Muslim, his parents makes him Christian, Jewish or anything else.
I hope you could understand what I mean. As this life isn't about having it all. It's just a test and it won't last so it tricks people that why not that and that till they actually disbelieve when nothing Allah asked us to do doesn't make sense. Everything makes sense and is a benefit to you even if you don't know it now,as he created you and he knows his creation better than anyone else. What's right and what's wrong to them. He knows it all.
Secondly; She is talking about Fasting, Fasting isn't just to feel the poor people. and we have to give Zakkah also like you said, give from what you have (A must Charity in Islam). Just google Fasting in Ramadan's benefits.
fasting helps you to have patience in everything. As I said she understand a lot of things in wrong way. Fasting isn't just fasting from food and drinks only is wrong actually. Fasting means fasting of food, water and drinks, sins as much as you could try, any bad words. When you fast you make your whole body fast to Allah. Lots of Muslims fast wrongly on food and drinks and when it comes to eat they break down their stomach and that's wrong.
A note for you : You shouldn't make fun of something you don't have knowledge of. Not all Muslims gain weight in Ramadan. And in Ramadan or not in Ramadan we have an Islamic advice in our religion to actually a part for our food, a part for drinks and a part for breath so as a Muslim you shouldn't full your stomach till you can't breathe. What you are seeing of some Muslims today is just wrong. Don't you do anything wrong yourself. It's not the mistake of Islam, it's the mistake of us who didn't follow it. Plus you can eat again when the food is gone from your stomach. Plus nothing Allah put in our religion is wrong as it is proved today medically that it's better to eat many little meals than eating a big one till you can't breath. It's better for health, for weight, for people who have problems in stomach like me. So a Muslim should never eat till he can't breathe.
Again; fasting is a spiritual process between you and God. It's not about food and drinks nor for only feeling poor people, It has that benefit and way more. A fasting man can't say bad words., have to control all his desires while fasting. It even helps men who didn't get married yet not to fall in haram as fasting helps you to control your nafs and relax it.
Plus; I want to tell you my sister in Islam. If you' have a kind heart and you will give the poor and you choose not to fast. I am telling you fasting has many benefits that is only one of them and if we focused on only that. You will find people who actually don't have mercy in their heart and they still don't give the poor even if they have so fasting isn't to be in pain to feel others. Fasting is to pure your soul from desires for Allah's sake and through it you'll find your soul more humble and more pure with Allah so you will be actually better with poor and with everyone and you will thank Allah on his blesses more and more and again FASTING ISN'T A FOOD AND DRINK MATTER. FASTING IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL WORSHIP WITH ALLAH THAT YOU WON'T EVEN FEEL PAIN IN IT IF YOU ACTUALLY DID IT FOR HIS SAKE.
Thirdly; Simple thing. Do you see women going staring at men as much as men staring and annoying women with wrong things and doings? God created women to be precious and created men to be weak in front of them. He made you special and asked u to know how special you are and save yourself from those who Shaytan can trick them to harm you in any matter.

He asked you to save and protect you. Very interesting. Myself, I'm Orthodox Christian and the church that I attend is mostly Lebanese and Jordanians. The general rule as I understand it is that we are only to marry other trinitarian Christians like other Orthodox, Catholics, Anglicans, and most protestants, but no Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventist, and certainly no Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc. Given that most Palestinian Christians are either Orthodox or Catholic, I'm curious to know which confession these women that are marrying these Muslim men belong to.

Good points, and as for your last question, and I admit I'm speaking as a non-Muslim, Islam takes a dim view on apostasy and it doesn't matter if the so-called "apostate" was born and raised a Muslim and then converted out of it, or was born and raised in another religion, embraced Islam at some point and then later rejected it. The extreme interpretations of Islam, which are becoming more common in the Muslim world, say the penalty for leaving Islam death. I know not all Muslims endorse this view. There was an apostasy case in Afghanistan about 10 years ago (post-Taliban) where a Muslim man was sentenced to death for converting to Christianity. He was able to find asylum in Italy. Of course, Christianity used to do the same thing -- a Christian who willingly abandoned Christianity was worthy of death and torture -- that was what the Inquisition was all about. And when the Inquisition tortured and burnt Jews alive for practicing Judaism (or mere suspicion of practicing Judaism), they were doing it to people who had converted (or whose parents or grandparents had converted) to Christianity. As far as the Inquisition was concerned, these people had been baptized as Christians (despite their Jewish roots) and by torturing them to confess to their sin of practicing Judaism and rejecting Jesus, they were actually doing these Christians a big favor -- because now they'd get another chance to be saved!

Not surprisingly, this silence has been taken by male scholars to mean it is not permissible. Funny that. However most legal codes would use the exact opposite logic. There is already an alms-giving law in Islam, fasting Ramadan is a unique experience that serves a special purpose different from directly helping the needy. Fasting would help you relate to them in the more literal sense.
I may need to do more research on this but I remember hearing that the penalty for each day you deliberately don't fast in Ramadan without a valid reason, is either fasting an extra month or feeding a number of poor people (I think 10) If you're ready to feed around 300 hundred people throughout the month of Ramadan, then go ahead and skip fasting lol. Chances are you'll opt for keeping these pennies to yourself.

As a Palestinian Christian I would marry aroub for sure(if I had the choice of course) she's smart, pretty, curious and most importantly she's just like me, likes everything in moderation.
This is another great video with a lot of interesting insights. A note on the marrying of those outside of the religion, as I have interpreted the information that I have been given, a Muslim man may marry a non Muslim woman, and she is not forced to convert, but a Muslim woman may not marry a non Muslim man because of the possibility that his religion may force her to convert. If anyone wishes to correct me on this I welcome it. I have only read translated versions of the source texts.
From what I have read and from what I have been told in conversations with many faithful Christians, the idea is that authority comes from God, delegated directly from God to the man, indirectly from the man to the wife, and then through the wife to the children. From what I understand from reading, this view is echoed in Islam. It creates a very strong and organized nuclear family, something extremely valuable in any society. Especially in a society that faces struggle, such as Palestine. People in chaos, demand order.
It's not that she will convert or not, in Islam husband must b respected, now if a Muslim girl marries lets say a Buddhist, then the Buddhist orders her to b Buddhist , then she denies, that's disrespect, as her father how will I solve that disagreement?

I want to clarify this. First of all, a muslim man can marry non-muslim women only from the people of the book (i.e. Christianity and Judaism).
Now, as to why it's allowed for men to marry a non-muslim but not for women, there are things you need to understand about how islam constructs the bases of the relationships within a family:
1. The mother is naturally much more important for the kids than the father.
2. The father is the one who provides money, clothes, food, housing etc for the family, not the mother.
3. 1&2&only create a gap in the hierarchical relationship between mother/father/kids, as in who has the "steering wheel" of the family to not create instability; and that's the rationale behind why the father has the "ultimate power" within the family, also being generally more rational about things, because he doesn't go through emotional tides as for the mother.
It's like thinking about a country, why every country has a single president? It's for the same reason.
It's worth mentioning that anything Islam constructs is at the same time what Islam believes is the natural thing for humans to do. So, this view is also what Islam believes is the natural tendency for humans to do.
Understanding these three points (with a pinch of salt, I may have not expressed it correctly) is the reason why a muslim woman cannot marry a non-muslim man, because the non-muslim man will most probably guide his children towards his religion. If Islam allowed women to marry non-muslim men, it would be like allowing people to take guidance of another religion, which is something that a true religion -as Islam claims to be- cannot do.
I hope this clears everything up.

This is a nice discussion. But I fear the marriage question might give a false impression. I am not offended if a Muslim will not marry a Christian. I am a Christian. In the Bible it days it is better for a couple to be equally yoked. That means they should share the same faith. Marriage is more than just two people. There is family and possible children to consider. I think being called into two directions because of faith differences is a harsh reality in a marriage and confusing for children to be raised in. Also traditionally in Christianity the husband is the head of the house. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church and the wife is to obey her husband as the church follows Christ. So the reality is because Muslims and Christians actually are the same about marriage relationships, its better to not marry out of faith. I am not a Muslim, so I am not really entitled to have an opinion on this but I think fasting is important part of the Muslim faith because it teaches obedience to God and to gain empathy to the poor. I actually like the Hijab. I love how it is worn to have a woman's acts to show rather than her endowments. I think it does help a woman have modesty too. Of course I can't wear one here in Canada because I am not a Muslim. But if I was a Muslim I would wear one and want my daughter to wear one too. Really I don't see how wearing one is oppressive. Jesus' mom wore one and a woman needs to wear one to visit the pope. I love the sharing of ideas. What has surprised me is the few Muslims I have met are actually very excepting of Christians. To them its the same God. The openness is nice.

You can wear hijab as a Christian if you want to. Muslims don't care if you do. They aren't gonna ask you "HEY WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT?" personally I don't in public aside from praying.
That's actually not true. That's an excuse. The real reason is simply bc Allah said so, the false reason is "the kids will be confused and stuff". The kids arent gonna be confused, what is BS is this idea that men decide the religion of their family, again that's a cultural thing that people use as an excuse. Reality shouls be that a muslim woman should feel free to marry whomever she wants, per guidance from the Quran.
Religion isnt something you're born with, it is something you choose to believe in, having a muslim or christian father isnt gonna necesarily make the kids muslim or christian the odds are higher, sure, but not a guaranteed thing. Personally, I think arabs/muslims need to stop adhering to such a retarded and outdated custom...but who am I to say....

A Muslim women can't marry a Muslim man because the children usually take the religion of the man. So you would put your children on the path of idolatry (worshiping Jesus, Crosses etc.) instead of the path of the One Creator.
You know the sad thing? If a Christian or Jew girl said she'd never date or marry a Muslim, or a Jew/Christian parent expressed their unwillingness to let their daughter/son marry a Muslim, they will be branded as "Islamophobic".
