Insurance Company Sues Amber Heard to Keep from Paying for Johnny Depp Judgment and Legal Fees. An insurance company is suing actress Amber Heard on a three-pronged request: (1) that it be absolved of any duty to pay for her defense in a recent defamation case by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, (2) that it not be required to pay the multi-million dollar judgment Depp won against her, and (3) that it not have to pay any costs of ongoing litigation associated with an appeal.

There was a second insurance firm: Travelers that has paid for Elaine Bredehoft's services as Amber Heard's lawyer. This doesn't change that. There are trials every day that cost tons of money. To be frank its not our money. Not our business how much is spent.

She knew she would never pay her pledges!!! When she gave that first interview after the trial, she said “I shouldn’t have had to pay that money to prove my truth”. She pledged it in the heat of the moment thinking no one would hold her accountable!! She is despicable and very Undermining to the lives that she has affected. Disgusting!!!!

I have way more respect for anonymous donors who don't want recognition for their donations.

So Amber didn't pay her attorneys a dime herself, and she didn't donate any money to the two charities! And obviously, she blew through the 7 million Johnny gave her. Pathetic!
And now poor Amber has to shop at TJ Max and she hasn't put out a dime. I assume the money from divorce is gone because she's not paying up on her end for charity and she can't pay Johnny. He doesn't care, he just wants to be rid of the witch and his name cleared. I just hope the courts will at least hold her to paying up regardless. She is a now a "scorned woman", and she couldn't keep her man because she was so abusive both physically and mentally. This chick IS mental. She knew Johnny was planning to divorce her so she had to beat him to it and then rub his name in the dirt, but nobody was alerted except for TMZ. Boo hoo!

Let's not forget that she demanded through the divorce settlement for Johnny to give her his car and to pay all her utility bills for an indefinite amount of time. She even made an instagram video of her and Whitney dancing like idiots in Johnny's car after the divorce settlement with the caption "Sorry not sorry", then deleted it because of this trial. Little did she know, someone got it and uploaded it. lol

As a Real DV , I left with my kids and my car. I had a " bug- out" bag, and I left EVERYTHING. All that " stuff" means NOTHING!! You just want to get OUT! You don't want court. You don't want to see them. Fighting with them gives them what they want. You just want PEACE. And START OVER.
One of those pledges she didn't even sign. It was brought up in court by whoever it was from the hospital they had on video stand ..or was it video deposition, I can't remember. But the dude did show the document that Amber had not signed.

Elaine is 10 times worse than Amber, because she is an officer of the Court. She is supposed to flatly REFUSE to suborn perjury on her client's part. And if Amber insists--that is sufficient grounds for a lawyer to go to the judge and move to be removed from the case. Elaine has done enough to at least be sanctioned and censured--and possibly even suspended or disbarred.

That’s why everyone needs to file a report with the Virginia board that certifies lawyers! Elaine broke the ethics requirements and continues to do so...but she was the president of that ethics board for years so she knows a lot of people and can call in favors! It’s time for us to put our foot down and demand equal treatment and for her to be held accountable and reprimanded or lose her license - the “good old boy/girl club” is still alive and well for elites and this is proof that it’s who you know not what you know!
Elaine needs to be stripped of her law degree and should be debarred! And Amber needs to be charged with perjury - no trial needed for the attorney general of VA to charge her bc there is flat out proof of her lying!
Further, all the states and countries where Amber abused Johnny need to step up and press abuse charges on Amber! The state can charge her for DV, JD would be their witness - need to happen yesterday!

I've been around for a while on youtube telling everyone my opinions on Elaine and I just cant stand how people fall for this "confused old lady" act and justify her vile action with "shes just doing her job", "poor Elaine, being forced to defend AH". Nobody has to turn off their principles to do their job, specially a lawyer - JDs team proved that to the world. Also, elaine is not forced to defend Amber, as you said, she could have walked away the.moment she saw what was going on- in fact, a previous lawyer of Amber did just that when the first audios came out and she realized she had been lied to. They are together because they are the same. Elaine should receive some sort of punishment for her declarations and for wasting the court time again and again, as should the organizations that are paying for her to basically drag the legal system under the bus in a PR crusade

We plan to appeal., INSTEAD of saying it wasn't my fault, it was everyone else's, like a child. Even during the case, we could see how she was fighting dirty.

You're correct, the courts must charge them with perjury otherwise people will see it isn't a big deal to lie in court.
Justice isn't instant, it's slow and steady when it works. There is a chance they are making their case for perjury and taking there time to make sure it's air tight. It would make sense to keep it quiet because she does have the resources to flee the country

It's the language used purgery charges comes up if one knowingly lies and intends to lie. Then there are people who believe their lie so much that to them it's the truth. Because in a trial there is two sides and if one side is found true then by definition the other side would be considered a lie that is why purgery isnt prosecuted as much because the prosecutor would have to show that the person knowingly and intentionally lied

There's plenty of evidence from the trial and from her press tours. The BAR is overseen by attorneys, so it's tough to get consequences. But, if enough people register complaints about the same things, I wonder if it would give them enough cause to act, even if its just so they don't look bad to the public. Not sure if that would work or not, but its a thought....for sure.

I learned this the hard way, my ex lied throughout our divorce trial. I grew up thinking if you tell the truth you win. Sadly not true!
It's a high profile case and Elaine was under a lot of pressure to win. She may have stepped over the line due to desperation. She probably realised early that it was not going to go her way.

What I've learned from this trial:
Lies are permitted in court, just say "I miss spoke" perjury is so far down the list of being accountable for it doesn't seem to matter 😕

How amazing is it that a law suite between celebrities shows us the lack of accountability for lawyers, testimony, and validity of evidence. How is anyone supposed to trust our legal system.
Having an attorney asking a leading question in order for AH to lie under oath, in front of the attorney representing the insurance company has got to be against some rule of the Bar Association. Can Elaine lose her license to practice for this? It's one thing knowing your client is lying, but to ask a question worded to allow this lie, then continue the lie in closing argument? This is wrong in so many ways!
This is blatant mockery of the judiciary system. What can be done to hold them accountable is what I want to know.
I mean, I think the biggest con was saying that she can't pay back the pledge because she was sued when in reality she had the money for 13 months prior to ever being sued. That means that she said, "well, I have all this money, but I'm about to write this op-ed that's very likely going to get me sued, so I better hold onto it." That's premeditated.
In theory she's still holding onto the money to this day if the insurance company has been paying her attorney's fees.
She's too impulsive to think that far ahead, trust most of that money is gone by now. People who enjoys a lifestyle like hers, lavishing and displaying, can make 7 million dissapeared like that

Everything from the moment she met Johnny was premeditated. She's a predator and saw a vulnerable victim and set a plan and executed it. She NEVER banked on JD sticking up for himself or going public.

In Michigan, Elaine would have her license suspended for at least 90 days. Our State Bar is pretty strict.

I would love to see a plaintiff/ defendant/witness respond to, "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" With, "No I will not. I will lie whenever it is beneficial to me. I will only tell partial truths to support my lies, and gaslight both the jury & my opponents." I mean seriously, there's no point to swearing anyone in.
And that’s why Amber demanded to use Elaine. She KNEW that Elaine would lie and run interference for her; knowing full well there’s no such thing as consequences to perjury. She KNEW Elaine was an unethical lawyer, and the law firm her insurance provided wouldn’t play that game! Will she EVER get REAL punishment for all her wrongdoings???? The entire point of insurance is you take it out just in case. The reason it’s not defrauding is because they do not cover willfully caused damage.
The insurance company decided Amber did this willingly and maliciously not accidentally and as a result the insurance will not payout.

Apparently they went back decades, interviewed many people who knew or worked with Johnny, friends, relatives . Instead of finding any dirt on Johnny, they found plenty on Amber So Elaine was not blind to her crimes. She is the worst type of lawyer, only interested in money. But if the Bar Association does nothing, the public can withhold using her services? Power to the people

The insurance company may well argue that the insurance policy is void they could well have a case for that, if it was a new policy and not a renewal.

I recall from way before she started to make a name for herself, & years before her high-profile relationships & marriages, my peers and I would briefly interact with AH on a semi-regular basis. She had always been a joke. No one liked nor respected her. We tolerated her, and even then it was at a minimum because she’s ALWAYS been delusional and has had a grandiose opinion of herself. She is extremely insecure and tries to get noticed for things most people wouldn’t care about. This is why her “staging” is predictable & expected from her.
The attitude she displayed in her original LA deposition, the UK trial, TMZ leaks, her own social media posts, and the recent Virginia trial is her public persona. Imagine behind closed doors, yikes!
I can also say, as many others from her building have, that AH did NOT have a bruise on her face the day after her restraining order. Nor did I ever see her with the types of marking a tinted sunscreen or make-up could easily cover on her face. Let alone a broke nose or abrasions from broken glass on her feet, back, arms, etc.

One of Amber's big problems is that she can't help herself from talking too much if she gets angry. But it helps JD and his lawyers to reveal her lies. She is basically talking herself in trouble because she doesn't know when to shut up.
