100k one day 🧐
Just to say again how smart (and efficient) those new sails are looking! Top job by Boatshed sailmakers in Wales!
It's amazing what difference they make 😀
Its brilliant how you enjoy each others company. I love watching you creaming along and feeling scared when its rough. Used to sail but now cruise ships are my mode of sail. I am now 80 but still remember my sailing days. We had a 19 foot bilge keeler which we used to sail across the channel with our two and three year olds. Then went on to a 37 foot catamaran Snow Goose called "Galico".
We do get on very well especially at sea teamwork is essential as you would know being a sailor. I'm guessing you used to say I'm across the Bristol Channel?
@the sailing brothers. Never sailed the Bristol channel. Used to sail out of Southend to Ramsgate, then across to Calais and along the French/Belgium coast to Flushing (vlissingen) in a 19ft6" x 6ft bilge keeler with our very young children. After larger old catamaran (bobcat) to France and along the French coast down to Channel Islands. When we bought Hull and superstructure of a Snow Goose(Prout) 37ft we used to always go to Cherbourg then all around the channel islands. Last sailed in 1994 (my ex got the BOAT) !!
Fantastic as always. The coast looks so beautiful as you pass by .
The coastline was amazing and the people were fantastic 😊
Both of you are very inspirational, been following since you guys was in Nova Scotia, where we live 😊
Good old Nova Scotia we miss it 🙏🙏🙏
Dinner on my boat watching you guys sail whilst I wait to take the dog for a walk 😁
Sounds like heaven 😍😎
I think it is a good sign that Adam is so damn relaxed, he is not even sure about the year he is in anymore :D Most importantly the new sail work, who cares about "time" then? :D
Most of the time I am in my own little world 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great sailing guys! Lovely to see you enjoying your new sails too... And Adam, your sunglasses are not ridiculous, they're cool 😎😎
Thank you Kate 😎
Another ‘Amazing’ sail and a real pleasure after a weeks hassle with our h/w boiler!!
More fishing if poss please.
Sounds like a right pain 😔
More fishing to come 😜
The BOI is our best cruising grounds and also the centre of our big game fishing fleet. When you leave for Fiji you will be sailing with lots of cruisers who have been holed up in Opua for the summer and, like you, are looking to escape our winter. Well done Bros on the North Island circumnavigation and I look forward to your next adventure. New sails have transformed the boat.
Soon as May begins a lot of cruises will be starting to think about heading north to warmer climates. Everyone will be saying goodbye to New Zealand , it will be sad to leave 😔
A really nice last film of New Zealand
Thanks so much 👍
A cup of tea and sailing brothers… great end to a stressful day:)
Sounds perfect ☺️
Dat a boy! Tuna and Cheese. Delightful!! Really love y’all’s journey.
It's a great combination 😉
That was some magnificent sailing!
Thank you marjo
Like I've said before you guys have best sailing channel on the net.... unbelievable footage every vid.....those sails are the dogs bo----ks.....lol...and all the way from north Wales......oh yeeeeees....stunning scenery....👍👍👍..Chris....
Thank you so much Chris that's very very nice of you to say buddy 😜
We absolutely love our new sails 😁⛵
From Quebec I have so much fun watching your adventure. Thank you for sharing. :)
Thanks for watching all the way from Quebec 👊
You are finding exactly the same as I did when I had a complete set of new sails as it was like sailing a different and much faster boat
It really is like sailing a different boat 😀
Stunning footage lads, sails look great .
Thank you Michael
Im a solo sailer on the SE coast of USA. How I would love to have a first mate companion that you two have.. True brothers.
We do get on very well as brothers and sailors ⛵
You’ve circumnavigated! Awesome. The shape of the main is great as well. A new set of sails makes all the difference and the poor performance of old sails kinds of sneaks up on you!
It really has made such a difference. You can't beat brand new sails ⛵
Enjoyed watching your videos of New Zealand, now to warmer pastures, enjoy the sail up to Fiji. What a difference those new sails are making
We have enjoyed sailing around New Zealand but now it's time to head to warmer climates again with our new sails ⛵💪
Another superb vid thanks guys. Nothing nicer than new sails!
It's the delicious crispyness 😁
Yes, you, Sam Holmes and Colin on Parlay Revival which is currently in New Zealand ear the White Island (volcano). Have you seen them anywhere? Big Lagoon catamaran?
The last place we saw then was Tonga. Apparently he tried to sail around New Zealand but failed just like us 😔
Nice video guys! And those sails are amazing.
They are! 😁, make such a difference
You both are truly "Salty Dogs" now! That's the same as street cred in my navy years. Atlas responded deliciously to her new sails, Brother's!!👍👍😎
Thank you so much Scott 😁
Atlas absolutely loved her new wardrobe 😍
Amazing!
Well done guys on finishing your around NZ circumnavigation. 👏👏 what an incredible achievement.
Looking forward to the next leg of your journey. ⛵️🧀
Thanks so much!
It was a difficult task sad we only made it around the one Island 😔
Waihi is said " Why - He"
Thanks guys what an adventure of your lives thanks for sharing.
It's been an insane incredible three years so far 🤯
Fabulous sails chaps they are the business . Loving the video updates also ; I can’t wait for
Fiji 😁👍🏻
They are the dogs ****** 😀, Fiji videos very soon
Great way to complete the loop! Sails look FANTASTIC!!! 😊
Thank you! Cheers! 😁
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Cheers Andre 👊
I am sure I am too late to warn you, but old sea dog got north winds for three weeks on his last trip up to Fiji, I think it was Fiji. He was just stuck and nowhere else to go. I would say take LOTS of fuel.
I add a word of caution here. In recent years the SW Pacific seems to have been featuring a few out-of-season cyclones, both early and late as well as intense.
I'm sure you will enjoy Fiji! Happy days await you guys! 😂
Great episode. New sails are such a great feeling and experience. They look fantastic. Looks like you don't have any seizing wire on the shackle where the mainsheet block attaches to the boom...
We have heard of people having a really tough time trying to get North to Fiji it can be one hell of a passage 😔
Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome
Love the new sails 🙌
🤤
Great vlog..................love it.
Glad you enjoyed it ✌️
Amazing! So chuffed for you both to have a sail changing upgrade - and looking forward to the long passage to Fiji 🇫🇯 🎉
Next episode we prepare Atlas for the passage to Fiji and then we are off 📴😉⛵👊
Lovely shots, and sailing area. It’s the calmest you’ve sailed there, with such lovely views.
That's NZ for you 😀
Brilliant video :)
Many thanks!
That scenery is amazing background!
Isn't it just 😁
Cavalli Islands on the way down is a nice stop.
Good job sailing brothers.
👍🙏
another good job
Thank you! Cheers! 🎊
Great video Amigos
Cheer's 🙏
Stunning sailing love the new sails. Those anchorage’s must of been so hard to leave.
The anchorages were beautiful but it was starting to get cold 🥶
Genoa looks great!
It's a beautiful sail shape ✌️
Great seeing your run from Mangonui to Whangaroa and into the Bay! We have sat out cyclones at anchor in each place but also enjoyed some great gentle sails as we explored all the bays and islands. Your new sails have certainly added some speed to Atlas.👍
We think the areas are absolutely fantastic for sailing wish we could have spent longer here 😜
Fantastic sailing with a new set of sails. Great way to finish your tour around NZ (40 miles short is nothing compared to the mileage you’re doing on this adventure) ⛵️😎👍🏻
It's a shame we didn't finish where we started but hey it's only 40 miles 😀
Love your videos; excellent production guys! Searched sailing round Britain and found your channel. Binge watched and caught up with you in the Eastern Pacific. Now I watch every week without fail. You’ve made an excellent journal of your travels and long may you continue to sail. Not a sailor myself but I look forward to every episode. Only one issue, if you were to invite me for dinner I’d have to bring my own food, sorry!!
Sailing around Britain is where they all began. It's great to know you're enjoying the adventure even though you don't sail 😁
I think it's a good idea bringing your own food 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another great video guys. Always upbeat without hype. I reckon Adams undies on the leeward rail were helping the new main. The BoI's are where the Hiscocks' & Pardys retired to, I believe. Happy sailing.
That's why we put undies on the rail! Speed 🚄🤣🤣
I would put a dynemea loop on your mainsheet to boom double shackle as a security backup measure. If one of those shackles failed while sailing off the wind, some significant nastiness could result.
Nice one Steve st Pwllheli Boat Shed Sails
Absolute Legends
Well done lads another epic. At some point you should consider a recipe book with a whole section on making sarnies with esoteric ingredients ;) Cheers.
We will do a sailing Brothers cookbook 😁
Those sails are definitely working optimally. I don't remember too many times you got above 6 knots with the old sails.
Very rarely over 6 knots with the old sails
Coming out the Sea of Cortez in spring you get those swells generated from typhoons in the south pacific!! KEEP TRUCKIN
Sounds absolutely lovely 🤮
Another great video.
Luke mate glad your a YouTubing sailor and NOT a barman you'd need a straw to drink that guiness 😂.
Laundry on the railing I guess yachties "dress ship"
Thanks for showing us the coast of the North island of NZ it definitely is a beautiful country.
Cheers
Luke could never be a barman 🤣🤣🤣
We always seem to have washing hanging out 😁, it's the way of atlas
Sad to see you lads leave. I never did get to give you some cheese in Dunedin.
Sadly we didn't get that far down 👇
To me there are only two yt ers at the top you two and Sam Holmes. Cheers.
Wow thank you so much Anthony 🙏🙏
Delicious cubed and squared how's that!!!
Delicious 🤤
Go go go Atlas!
⛵👊
Great watch..... your new sail make Atlas look magnificent..... just wondering has your new foul weather gear arrived yet Adam?? keep being yourselves...you make our sundays lovr from the pinchbecks UK 🇬🇧
She sails so much better now 👊
My jacket has been stuck in New Zealand customers for so long that's I think it's been sent back to the UK thus they wouldn't release it! Unbelievable 😕
That sun is strong
Very strong in New Zealand in summer
Excellent as always! Do your undies on the lifeline add or reduce speed :)
They add speed of course 😄
Hi guys absolutely love the videos..makes my Sunday! Does anyone remember the island like things in the middle of no where I remember there was a few other boats there at the time..it was like walking on water..want to show my gf but can’t remember the episode
It was in the Minerva reef, I think that's what you're thinking about. It was on the way down to New Zealand
@@TheSailingBrothers thank you guys..that’s the place! Looking forward to the next episode! Delicious!
well what can i say great video top boys KRO love it but dont ever make me a sandwich lol love your videos you make my day all the best to you lads .
Didn't think there was anything wrong with my corned beef sandwich 🥪 🤣🤣
@@TheSailingBrothers 😅
That's one sexy genoa, lads, a real beaut!👍
Isn't it lovely 😍
Catch more fish -- free food !
Couldn't agree more 😎
Whamgaroa harbour
👍
What is your selfie camera, it looks good.
We use GoPro hero 10
On the way north again to Fiji, you’ll be passing a wee island on your port side, I think it’s called Australia or something. Not thought of popping in for a look?
Aka the west island.
After Fiji and New Caledonia it will be Australia for six months 👊
@@TheSailingBrothers New Caledonia could be a worry given the civil disorder going on there at present.
Vanuatu not new cal sorry
Did you get a glimpse of Mt Egmont wile in New Plymouth Did yoU have a beer or2 in NP
We only glimped the top as we left. The weather wasn't great when we were there windy and raining. We did have a couple of beers there 😜
What do you think about the loose footed main sail !
Absolutely love it 🤩
good ol ATLAS
👊⛵
Luke - you really need to learn how to pour a can into your pint glass lol 😂 😂😂😂
He will never ever learn 🤣🤣
Did you ever get the cheese you made??? If not send it my way!
Yes we did it will be in a future episode coming soon 😀
Hi guys, great video as ever. What anhcor are you guys using? Do you keep the anchor permanenty at the front or do you use the dedicated anchor locker on the rival?
We do have a dedicated anchor locker on our boat however we recently purchased a Rocna anchor which lives at the front of the boat as it will not fit in the ankle locker anymore. Massive upgrade!
@TheSailingBrothers thanks for the reply guys. I've got a mantus 25kg for my moody 36. Well oversized but it does the job well. It's like a Rochna but can be broken down with a spanner. In the summer when staying on the mooring I use a 16kg delta just for trips to various bays, then any trips away the big mantus comes out. She held us on 80 knot winds once in a freak storm in mallorca
@TheSailingBrothers also I really like the way you are making the boat more livable with a freezer ect
My friend has a water maker. He can't live without it. 2500 euros it cost him but I think for a situation like yours it would be fantastic. If you don't have one already I would put it on the list. Endless hot showers and plenty of water to wash your clothes
New sails? It’s not new sails that bothers me… when’s your poor brother going to get his new jacket? Poor shivering mite. Oh and cheese where’s the cheese. Great video guys. Congrats on the circumnavigation.
My new jacket has been stuck in New Zealand customs for a very long time 😔
I think it's being sent back to the UK. The cheese is safely in the fridge 😉
I dont know whether it's my hearing, but your exhaust is sounding different - very deep and dry?
OOO we will check it out
Hi its Jill Dye from Paihia are you still in the bay of islands
We are currently in Fiji. Our videos are around 4 weeks behind real time
I would be interested in hearing how your spaceX internet works?
It is working great, absolutely love it!
What model is your boat ?
She is a Rival 34
They were probably motor sailing...
Dam right 🤣
I have to say those new sails look the business, so what an excellent gift to have been given. One thing I am a bit puzzled by is why don’t you guys use lazy jacks for the main, and a boom bag for that way when you drop the main it would be all nicely contained rather than drooping over the boom. We use such an arrangement on my Swanson 30 and it’s such a bonus in my opinion. I guess you have your reasons though, 😁.
Never had or used one to be honest. What if you people have said this 🤔, maybe it's something we should consider 🥸
@@TheSailingBrothers It was just simply a question/something to consider. If your setup works for you as I assume it does then that’s not a problem. I was merely curious 😁
That was a typo sorry ✌️
Yeah I mean it's something we have considered, would make it easier for sure 😄
Them sandwiches will not allow you to become 90 years old
Power sandwiches 💪🥪
40 miles short!?! That's it I'm unsubscribing
Dam it 😭
hey guys the new sails are the business you flying
It's amazing what a difference new canvas makes ⛵
It's amazing what a difference new canvas makes ⛵
Marvellous!
