Mine too. He takes his job so seriously, it feels different from the previous Bonds. It feels like duty to his mission is all he has left. But beyond all the previous Bond's he can't hide his emotional attachment to his duty. I also like how he is so intelligent. Rather than go in guns blazing he used deceit and espionage to complete the mission. Daniel Craig in my view just coulnd't get it right. He feels like a man trying to imitate James Bond without capturing the rich depth that Timothy Dalton gave us.
Out of all the actors who played 007 I do believe Dalton understood Fleming's Bond the most. I'd love if whoever plays the new Bond could either follow in his lead and read the novels as a 'blueprint' for their interpretation of the character, or at least ask Dalton himself for some advice. Great edit.
@@gandhibhagat285 Tbf I'd say the Bond series is generally great at casting their leads. I just think Dalton made a conscious effort to be Fleming's Bond, or at least put it to screen best he could. For what it's worth I still think there's much in Fleming's novels, particularly to do with Bond's character, which has yet to be explored in the film series.
To me Timothy Dalton is the definitive James Bond, not only is he the most accurate to the books but he was a true fan and was an advocate for keeping Fleming’s vision for the character intact, and he also had a perfect balance of the seriousness and dark humour needed for the role.
My fandom of OO7 really kicked off with The Living Daylights and to this day Tim Dalton is my favourite of them all. Not many think this way but I do. Dalton understood what Fleming wrote and he played Bond accordingly!
Well done. This was really good showcasing the fantastic Timothy Dalton as lan flemings James bond 007. Have always been a huge fan of Dalton as BOND and it's nice to see him getting the much overdue respect that he deserves.
Just saw “License to Kill” last night. Bond at his most ruthless. As Fleming intended and Dalton delivers. Watch closely. Dalton brings such a credible sense of determined vengeance on the screen it resonates in virtually every scene that, in many respects, surpasses Connery and his witty quips for every precarious occasion. There is a sense of unfettered realism in this picture from Bond’s everyday pedestrian attire to a minimum of ridiculous gadgets-no Aston to speak of-to the brutality and the sincere possibility Bond may just not make it out alive.
I honestly always forget that Timothy Dalton was James Bond. I always think of him from Hot Fuzz or The Rocketeer. Gonna need to go on a Bond marathon. Amazing editing as usual.
You know the thing with that is after three films I feel the quality only goes downhill. I feel Sean Connery's first three films were brilliant, but it was all downhill after that, with Diamons Are Forever I think being his worst film. Similar story with Roger Moore. His first three films were his best, and it went downhill afterwards, with A View To A Kill being one of the worst Bond films. Same thing with Pierce Brosnan. Even his films were not that good, but Die Another Day was another low point for the series. Daniel Craig same things. Casino Royale and Skyfall are brilliant films, but after that I think they were getting unbearable. Blowfeld as Bond's long lost brother. Who the hell wrote that? Timothy Dalton did two phenominal films and I would have liked him to do one more, but I'm glad he did do so many like the others. Some of the films became unbearable.
Always felt a bit sad that he didn't get a fair crack at the role.... He definitely had all the credentials. Great actor, with looks, brooding intensity and an amazing physical presence.
I am watching bond series in order of their release .. i just watched license to kill and it is the best bond movie till now ..and Timothy Dalton best James Bond. I wish we get to see more of him as bond.
Great Bond. Old Cubby called him to do three more in 1994 but he refused. It wasn't in his heart anymore. A pity, he really looked straight out Fleming books.
Just recently watched the Living Daylights again, and what a terrific Bond film it truly is. Dalton was superb in the role, and a breath of fresh air over the stale cheesiness of Moore. Wish we could have had more of him.
Dalton was a fucking beast as 007!! It saddens me that we didn’t get to see him in Goldeneye. Still an excellent entry in the series with Brosnan though
Roger Moore should have made Octopussy his last one. Timothy Dalton should have made A View To A kill and Goldeneye, total of 4, would have been awesome
I thought Timothy Dalton was spectacular as 007. I just, for the life of me, cannot figure out why so many people did not like him in the role. I also loved Maryam D’Abo in The Living Daylights. What a heart-tugger!!!
Dalton was by far the best bond. He even looked the part from head to toe. He played it as close to the books as possible. Bond was written as a tortured, reluctant killer. Calm and collected under pressure and silently aware of his unique abilities.
Great to see a lot of my fam here loving Timothy Dalton 's Bond.i Love him cause he has that great combination of intelligence, sophistication and badassness.
Dalton is easily the most underrated Bond. Despite only getting two films he is the closest to the books we have gotten so far. He also my #2 Bond of all time right behind Brosnan
"The Living Daylights"(1987) is so beautiful and glamorous movie! Like a great cognac(Remy Martin XO). "Licence To Kill"(1989) is brutal and dirty like some rough bourbon! And I like both of them!!! Great actor, TIMOTHY DALTON!!!
If you think about it, Timothy Dalton as Bond had almost the exact look of Ian Flemming’s description of Bond in his novels, he was almost exactly what Fleming imagined Bond to look like, therefore Dalton was one of the best Bonds
With your name it's weird because l sadly lost my Dad two days ago with dementia and ongoing health issues. Bond is always been around in my childhood in the 70's. My absolute favourite Bond actor. I'm so glad I found many like minded people through this video and the comment section. You guys are the best! Timothy Dalton's darker and more serious interpretation has been my favourite ever since I first saw him in a bond film. I grew up with the Brosnan Bonds and now of course with the five Daniel Craig films (born in '86) but I really just like Dalton the best. For me, he also has that perfect bond look. Timothy Dalton is one of the if not the most underrated Bond of them all ~ both of their Bonds movies were superb as his stone cold acting (as true Fleming's British spy from his novels) 😎🔫 I'm just sorry that he didn't get chance to play in more movies from that amazing franchise (maybe he could step in Bond's shoes a bit earlier (in the later Moore era) 😉
Great video! I feel like I'm always that annoying guy who when people praise Craig for being tough has to point out that Dalton in fact was the first badass Bond... But I can't help it. Dalton is and will always be the best 007.
And that really pisses me off Dalton should’ve got some praise yourself get the shaft and Daniel. Such a massively confident man Timothy Dalton is. Wow. One of the Best fits in Bond movies
Timothy Dalton's accent is like sharp surgical instruments, it has a painful precision. I love this Bond, makes me want him more, good Lord!
I liked Roger Moore in the Saint and the Persueders, but, as Bond, he totally sucked. Dalton, however, nailed it.
Mainly because of the bond girls being so soppy dragging him down he wasn't able to hit his stride!
Not just his accent, his voice is sharp and overwhelming as well.
Saw Licence To Kill in the cinema in 89, blew me away, it's what we needed after the Moore era of tongue in cheek.
The Living Daylights was great too but I agree Licence to Kill was Dalton’s best outing
Just saw it yesterday, what a masterpiece 🤩🔥
That was class. Two amazing Bond films with a brilliant Bond. Remember when Bond was a spy and not rambo? No time to die is dreadful!
Man, that was such a kickass edit! Watching this kind of makes me glad that we got the two movies that we got from Dalton. Yes, it's a shame that he didn't do more, but what we got was of such high quality that I'm very content with it. He is (and probably will for a long time be) my favorite Bond
I’m a big fan of Craig’s Bond :)
I paused the video upfront to give it a like and a comment. Dalton’s Bond is best, and I’m sure this is gonna be an elite tier edit.
The is James Bond as Ian Fleming description in the books.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Timothy Dalton the most underrated 007!
No, not underrated. Simply the Best!
Timolthy Dalton was one of the greatest Bond ever had in the franchaise and eventually got the pride he deserved.
Dalton is my favourite, it's really nice seeing his portrayal getting this much appreciation!! Great video!
To me Timothy Dalton is the definitive James Bond, not only is he the most accurate to the books but he was a true fan and was an advocate for keeping Fleming’s vision for the character intact, and he also had a perfect balance of the seriousness and dark humour needed for the role.
Timothy Dalton the most underrated bond ever. His films never got the recognition they deserved. He was brilliant
He was perfect. An honest portrayal by a superior actor.
Dalton was what Bond is all about
I honestly always forget that Timothy Dalton was James Bond. I always think of him from Hot Fuzz or The Rocketeer. Gonna need to go on a Bond marathon. Amazing editing as usual.
He was so good in Hot Fuzz
I love Dalton's Bond, believable as a dangerous and fully professional agent. I wish he did at least 4 outings.
@@A203D Thunderball and Goldeneye were fantastic.
Recently rewatched Daltons two 007 films. He may be my fave Bond after Connery....wow..way ahead of his time
Well friggin’ done sir!! Timothy Dalton has always been my favorite post-Connery Bond and he always will be.
True legend! Loved Timothy as Bond, sad we didn't get more with him.
Always felt a bit sad that he didn't get a fair crack at the role.... He definitely had all the credentials. Great actor, with looks, brooding intensity and an amazing physical presence.
Not to mention he read the novels and understands the type of character Ian Fleming had created
1.89, blue eyes, beautiful voice, is very superb and fancy
Top notch work 👌. Nice to see Dalton’s Bond get the appreciation it deserves.
Timothy Dalton is excellent in the role and licence to kill is easily one of the best Bond films. It’s a crime he only got two movies!
Definitely the most diligent 007, he’s up there with Connery.
Timothy dalton had the best dominating voice ever.
@@Manul23392 really and I was very sexy
@@Manul23392 yes he did
Loved Tim Dalton's portrayal of Bond. He went back to the original tough and gritty Bond as written so well by Ian Fleming. A really good actor too.
"My interest in her is purely professional." - words to live by, gents.
This was so well put together that i thought it was official MGM channel. Well done man 😎
Just recently watched the Living Daylights again, and what a terrific Bond film it truly is. Dalton was superb in the role, and a breath of fresh air over the stale cheesiness of Moore. Wish we could have had more of him.
This is genuinely amazing! I'm really loving this.
I love this! A wonderful tribute to one of my favorite Bonds ever!
Dalton put more into 2 films than others can do in 10.
Bullshit opinion but okay.
hell no he is 100% correct. Dalton even read the books
@@EnjoyingChaotics you should know this man.
@@EnjoyingChaotics looks like someone never actually read the books only watching the movies lol
@@EnjoyingChaotics nah it’s a correct opinion. Your response is bullshit but okay.
I love this compilation!!! Thank you!
Timothy's take was a breath of fresh air. He's just like Sir Ian Fleming's novels. This collection is an amazing tribute
Bravo sir! You know your craft! Probablythe best Tim Dalton tribute on the net! Keep it going! ;)
My favourite Bond edited by my favourite YT editor. Awesome stuff!
Timothy Dalton did 2 Bond movies but his persona lives on to be the best British Spy movies, he is a legend...
I love this !!! Timothy Dalton is my favourite Bond. Wish you had done the original advertising for the movies!
Dalton is easily the most underrated Bond. Despite only getting two films he is the closest to the books we have gotten so far. He also my #2 Bond of all time right behind Brosnan
To be fair his films are both quality over quantity. They are probably the best in the series.
Same here. For me, Connery is the best Bond, but Dalton’s interpretation is my favourite.
Agree, except TD #1 for me; closest to Fleming's Bond, with Connery the next nearest, despite his last two films being poor.
Same here man!!
One of my favorite Bond and the best gunbarrell.
@@renekauts8323 hi
Great work. Licensed to kill was a great film, loved the mixing.
If you think about it, Timothy Dalton as Bond had almost the exact look of Ian Flemming’s description of Bond in his novels, he was almost exactly what Fleming imagined Bond to look like, therefore Dalton was one of the best Bonds
A great video edit showcasing a highly underrated James Bond. Hats off to Timothy Dalton.
Great work on this . Dalton is after the books
0:11 -> That iconic gaze is picture perfect Bond, James bond, Dalton is flawless, 100% intensity
With your name it's weird because l sadly lost my Dad two days ago with dementia and ongoing health issues. Bond is always been around in my childhood in the 70's. Then back in 1992 i decided to buy all vhs tapes of Bond.(including never say never) and sheduled them on a Monday night when l finished work from Sept through to Dec. Enjoy everyone and when timothy dalton's time arrived it was like a new era. Gritty, (Then) modern, Fresh and now. Then by next week it was all over. What a pity he didn't see out his contract on screen. Because he WAS the current James Bond.
When he says, "I got the message" his delivery all but cracks the screen with its sheer intensity...
I personally love him as Bond; I think he nailed Ian Fleming's character and for me is the most interesting and attractive 007. He has something a little more intense, subtly dark, complex and intelligent, yet human and more realistic in his interpretation.
Best professional James bond ever
Licence to Kill..... Para mí es una de las mejores películas de James Bond.. Post Sean Connery..... Bien lograda y muy buena trama.. Excelente Timothy Dalton y Robert Davi!!
“I gave him the booot” I 🖤ed it when he would say a one-liner but wouldn’t have time too complete the punchline. Nobody does it better
Well done, this was pure class.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the effort that went into making this clip. Outstanding editing and a reminder that I need to watch both Dalton Bond movies immediately. Such a shame he only did the two. He really was class
I have been watching this montage a few times and I think it's really well done, like a trailer for both movies. Love it :))))
License to kill is my favorite Bond film ever; great song, characters, cast, plot etc. I think it was the first time I think Bond went rogue in the movies and had a genuine reason. Craig does it so often, either retired, rogue etc. its lost all relevance.
Timothy Dalton was a fantastic James Bond and it is a shame we only got two James Bond movies with him as 007.
Only Sean comes even close to Dalton, the ultimate 007
My favourite Bond. He captured the essence of the character, flaws and all 👍🏻💙
The best Bond out there whom mainstream audiences werent ready for and financial and legal wrangles robbed us of seeing a few more films.
Brilliant portrayel of Bond, closest to the book and these two films are great.
I swear if this was screened in theaters people will wanna fucking watch the movies!!
Incredible!!!!
Suave, focused, dangerous and hyper intelligent. Simply the full package, if you ask me.
His two movies were superb!! They ought to have kept him on for ‘Golden eye’
Most underrated Bond ever. Some of the best moments in his two films, would loved to have seen him do more but Pierce did a simply superb job, in what is arguably the best Bond film in the series, Goldeneye!
Timothy Dalton is one of the if not the most underrated Bond of them all ~ both of their Bonds movies were superb as his stone cold acting (as true Fleming's British spy from his novels) 😎🔫
I'm just sorry that he didn't get chance to play in more movies from that amazing franchise (maybe he could step in Bond's shoes a bit earlier (in the later Moore era) 😉
What the hell never liked him never will is bond because he just ripped the character right out of Timothy Dalton’s, and that should not be allowed to happen and he took Timothy‘s thunder away and that is unfair
Definitely should have included the balancing tanker. One of the greatest Bond stunts of any era.
Outstanding creation... if only EON had had this much talent when putting together the trailers.
Love Timothy Dalton as 007, but don't forget Carey Lowell in License to kill as sexiest Bond Girl in James Bond History
good try, but real men of culture know Xenia Onnatop is the sexiest.
Dalton was my Bond growing up. He was truly ahead of his time. Craig owes Dalton.
I just watched the Dalton movies. Holy crap, Craig is the Bond i was most fond of but even on two movies Dalton’s performance stacks up against anyone 🔥🔥
My favourite Bond!
Thanks for a great video 👍
Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig perfected the role of James Bond after Sean Connery and Roger Moore retired ........ They both brought their own tough style of playing James Bond to the screen ....
Superbly done this video. Every time I watch it I like it more.
Love this edit man! I would use this to persuade my friends that Dalton was a great Bond. He was so ahead of his time.
