    Everyone goes on about connery and moore being the best bonds they was the first actors out there . Dalton is the best bond ever not only for acting like ian flemings books but he was the only bond with emotion and attitude he was fantasic as bond . He should have been bond though out the 80s after moonraker . He should have had more than 2 films such a shame

      Agree with you! He is underrated and should have had more time in the spotlight. He was originally cast for GoldenEye but the producers and Dalton went another way. He brought the sense of Craigs bond nearly 20 years before Craig took the role. He was outstanding as Bond. I can easily rewatch these two films of his over and over.

      @StormChaserZ  Год назад +4

      @@jogordon1530 I agree! Pam and Kara just didn't hit it off as the Bond women for Dalton. However I do think Pam was the better of the two. Heck, Lupe (Talisa Soto) I thought was amazing at the role despite her just being a smaller part of the film. The best chemistry would go to Moneypenny imo in TLD.

    • @jogordon1530
      @jogordon1530 Год назад +1

      @@StormChaserZ Again, at that time which was in the 80s, they were trying to redo the entire franchise. Woman at that time, were supposed to be the highly educated women. We were not ready for the aggressive, fighting women that we have today. Kara was high educated as a cellist and Pam being able to fly a plane, and handle herself at the bar. However, again, she was not the type of person who handled that role correctly. You can’t stick Einstein into a movie and expect him to perform like John Wick. There was just no chemistry with Dalton and those two women.

    The trinity of the best Bond holds for me as Connery, Moore, and Dalton, all three were the book character with their own take. Connery was excellent at being the dark but cool Bond, Moore the humorous, well emotive, and still excelling at the dark scenes, and Dalton the best book Bond, all three were the Bond in their own direction, deviating from the books tailored to each man's acting style.

      @@rikardandersson5582 It is expected that the last half of a movie have the best action scenes and it did deliver that with the plane, but the plot and story struggled to have a solid build up from that amazing first part and it's mostly because of the villains being badly written so it kind of flatlined, while the action scenes is what kept it linear.

  • @christhornycroft3686

    The only real James Bond, the one from the novels. Not a cartoon character written for 13 year old boys. Ian Fleming famously said that he was disturbed that younger people were reading his books because they were written for adults. Dalton was the adult James Bond. You can be suave and sophisticated without being juvenile and sadly, that's what the next guy gave us. When I became aware of James Bond, Goldeneye had just come out so Brosnan was "my Bond." I'd just seen all the other ones and read the novellas and he was always my least favourite. Between the sniper scene, busting the balloon and the scene at the hotel with John Rhys Davies, that's what I want to see in an adult spy thriller. Don't these kids have enough movies to watch? They have both comic book universes in all their CGI glory. The Dalton films were shot for real with stunts and while License to Kill was too American for me, Timothy was the most Bondian of the bunch.

      @@jogordon1530 I think he was quite charming with Klara, like natural charming and not playboy charming.
      Trust me, women love Dalton In the living Daylights, try that Roger Moore stuff and they see you as a creep. It's the type of charm that works on TV but in real life no, even Roger Moore are quite different in real life, more natural. The other girls, the charm fell short because they tried to shoehorn in a charm in a revenge mission but taking the girl to a Orchestra, buying her a dress, give her a good time, carneval etc, he is not just a "Bad Boy (Which women love) but he showed a playfulside of himself AND a caring and protective side, what women like..... the second movie, with one bad actor and the other was weirdly written it was flat the entire way. They should have taken the elements from Goldeneye, where Natalia comforted Bond, and play the romance of that, after all he was on a revenge mission, he is hurt.
      If a Man is charming is essentially a decided by the reaction of women, if men look for charm in a man, first of all that is a "little bit gay" and make sure it's actually real, so that if you look for inspiration, that you ain't disilusioned.
