Thank you both for discussing my game. During the initial playtest I conducted for you, I was still fine-tuning the magick mechanics. Eventually, I settled on the risk/reward system and the Circles of Sorcery. As a note, I have lots of vids about any rules questions people might have and a FAQ on my discord and Facebook groups.
My small crew and I have been running and ongoing EZD6 campaign for about 6 months. Lots of laughs, action, and story telling. It's flexible and allows creativity. I never played TtRPG before and now we feel like seasoned vet. It's a must try
I love EZD6 so much I converted all my projects into using the system, including Fantasy, Cthulhu, SCIFI and Espionage....! its that easy to do!

EZd6 is one of the best RPG purchases I’ve ever made. I read the whole book in an afternoon and the next day I played a hacked version with my 7yo. The contested dice rolls, easy banes and boons an flexibility made it so easy to just tell the story and never slow down. Compare that to my recent experience playing One Ring 2e (another great game) with the same 7yo and it is night and day. She could barely follow the action and lost interest. I think my only regret was not buying the book of quests at the same time as the rules. 😂

How is the DC decided when dice are rolled?
If by the GM, which I assume it is, then are there guidelines or rules for choosing the DC?
The GM chooses the Target number:
2 is Easy
3 is Medium
4 is Hard
5 is Very Hard
@@rontalkstabletop Are there guidelines beyond that? A difficulty meter alone isn't much.
@@WaterTheBoy I find it much easier than deciding on a 1-20 scale. Also consider the Heroes are hit on a 3+ and monsters the same (some monsters are harder depending on. This is noted in the book).
@theDMsCraft Intuiting the numbers is the easy part. I'm more referring to the in-universe connotations, and not just for combat (since combat always seems to have useful rules). If it's solely up to the whims of the GM, it may as well be a gambling game where you guess the number the GM is thinking. No amount of added dice to a check will stop a GM from simply raising the DC if they want it to be hard.
@@WaterTheBoyI mean the DM can just tell you the roll needed? And in my opinion it's not feasible to come up with every scenario and differentiate by difficulty.
Like you said it is up to the DM which my opinion isn't a bad thing as it's just reading and judging a situation accordingly.
