      Yeah, but Rockenfield it seems like Rockenfield isn't playing anymore. LaTorre did all the drums on Queensryche's newest album. I saw a video of Tate's from just a few months ago when he was touring Europe. It seemed like there were tracks for background vocals since only one guy had a mic, but you could tell he was singing live and sounded pretty darned good.

    • @themadmattster9647
      @themadmattster9647 4 года назад +3

      @@MichaelHolmgaard agreed. What he needs now is a good producer. Sascha Paeth knows how to produce metal voices. Dump Jason Slater and Kelly Gray, they did nothing but drag Tate and Queensryche down, then again that could be at Tate's behest. Degarmo is doing that acoustic project with his daughter and flying planes, but we could hope he gets bored and contacts Tate. I think an original band reunion would be good too. LaTorre is pretty good too though, I prefer the albums with him over anything else since Hear in the Now Frontier, but if we could get a reunion of Tate and Degarmo or even the whole band it would be cool to see a final round

      The backing vocals here are vastly superior to the Tokyo performance. I do like raw and gritty performances, but this song needs a somewhat more polished sound, and this version nails it. Beside, Scott sometimes drags. Not that noticeable, but fairly obvious for a drummer.

    Grateful to have seen them twice in the early 90s. I believe it was around 91 I saw them in Minneapolis on the Operation Mindcrime tour. The band was amazing then... great memories!

    I was fortunate enough to see this band 3 x original lineup. And I saw operation mindcrime live with the whole theatrical display nurse coming out with the wheelchair giving him a shot the video display just absolutely mind-blowing

    They never sold out, rare with rock groups. The guy's voice is just amazing, awesome song here. Sometimes it gets too screechy but great overall.

    Heard the early stuff and really liked it as a fan of Maiden and Priest at the time. Started really getting into them when Rage for Order was released but then came one of the finest albums of the decade...Operation: Mindcrime! I still listen to that one now and again just to remember how great they truly were!!!

    30 years old and this era of music is still my primary catalogue. I don’t think I’ll ever modernize my tastes. There’s just something so fucking awesome about the 80s hard rock and metal era.

      @@anthonysaponaro6318 Yup, turbo size, they called it. They were square size basically. A normal 12'' tom was 8'' deep/tall, a power tom was 12'' x 10'' and these were 12'' x 12'', 13'' x13'', etc...

    Saw Tate do this Saturday night in N.H. and the guy has kept his voice in a big way. It's a shame these guys fell apart. Some time apart in the 90's may have done wonders. Fantasy scenario: DeGarmo gets them in a room and heals all wounds for a reunion tour. If he could only get his head out of the clouds...

    I really like it when a rock band slows a tiny touch for the live stage. there is no hurry, hit every note and bring the goods. Queensryche and Geoff Tate brought the goods.

    So glad i got see this band in the early 90's, whilst they were still in their prime, and this song is just fucking epic. I try to like bands that are around today, but there are very few if I'm honest, Queensryche were innovators, they helped pave the way for a lot of bands still, It's nice to be among good company here, people who know good music when they here it!!!
