This is one of those very rare albums that could be released in 2023 and if you didn't KNOW it was written 35 years ago, you would never guess it! An absolute Metal masterpiece! 🤘
sadly untrue, they dont make anything like this anymore. I know its not from modern times because it has a guitar, a build-up, a good singer, reverb, etc
I caught the end of eyes of a stranger in salt lake ,pissed me off had to watch matalica and justice for all instead, I watched them the next time for promised land, great concert.
The problem is the band went through a mid life crisis and Geoff wasn't as sexy and wasn't doing it for them anymore so they left him for a younger hit number lol now they are dyeing their hair
Wow!! I haven't listened to them in a while, almost forgot how good they sound. Pulling out all their CD's to re-listen. Saw then in Omaha May 1991 on their Building Empires Tour. They played the entire Mindcrime Album. So freaking Awesome!!!
I first saw Queensryche open for my other all time favorite band Metallica.Which was also my first time seeing them as well. I was blown away by Tate. Still one of the best Heavy Metal singers of all time and Operation Mindcrime is without a doubt one of their best Albums.
It s just amazing how they sound playing live. And i ll be forever grateful to my sister who told me they were coming to play Lisbon and she gave me the ticket. I saw many concerts but it was a huge surprise Queensryche coming to Portugal. And they played the whole Operation Mindcrime. One of the best concerts i saw. I was singing along from beggining till the end. No support band, just the good old Queensryche. Got all the momentos, pré, during and after, carved in my inner self
I never tire of listening to Queensryche's music, especially the early work, during the 1980s. I saw them open for KISS in 1985 and was blown away! Since then, they've always been one of my favorites. I had the honer of meeting Geoff Tate, Parker Lungren and Scott Rockenfield at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle in 2011, before all the shit hit the fan, and was impressed with what super cool people they all are. One of the best experiences of my life!
This Band set the blueprints for all progmetal that came later. And this album is the "father" of Dream Theater's Scenes from a memory. Operation: Mindcrime is a masterpiece.
Among all the great songs on Operation Mindcrime this is probably my favourite, even ahead of Eyes of a Stranger. Love how the intensity in the singing grows and how the whole song is a slowly building crescendo to the final chorus and then it finishes off with those fantastic last 20 seconds.
Agreed. The plodding, grimy main riff really give off a mental image of Nikki out on the streets determined, but struggling. This one and Waiting for 22 are my favorites.
THAT Voice, THOSE Eyes... THOSE Leather Pants~~ I am Salivating, Dear God.what a GORGEOUS Man Geoff is THEN and NOW., and BEYOND TALENTED.THIS was QUEENSRYCHE and Always will be.
I saw them live during this fantastic album and they opened up for metallica during there justice for all tour (: Both bands were phenomonal (: God I miss that concert its was truly an amazing event back then (:
Sadly this band in all forms is lost and always will without Chris Degarmo. Fortunately there are lots of video for new fans of the classic Queensryche to behold.
At there, I had heard another voice in heaven that had said: Leave her my people so that you will not share to her sins and so that you will not receive her plagues and since they have been piled up to as high as heaven, God has remembered her sins and thus share back to her what she had shared and share double back to her about what she had shared. Pour her a double portion using her own cup. Share to her as much torment and grief about the glory and luxury that she had shared about herself because in her heart she boasts: I sit throned as queen and I am not a widow and I will never mourn.
Wonderful Geoff💕all songs are greats, but for me, I’m like ‼️the « Thin line » epic, voice big inning style Iggy Pop, and Chang after👋a pleasure, wouah‼️🙏So beautiful song, KISS Geoff, the bester💋👍
Mindcrime is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. The story line is very close to the way the world really is today.
Still true today.
Even more so nowadays....
The scary thing is that this album came out in May of 1988 and look how much it does match up with reality in 2021
@@kevinwakeman4 LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM, WHILST READING GEORGE ORWELLS 1984 TODAY IS SCARY. SLEEPLESS NIGHTS!
one of the greatest albums? name the others? it is the greatest actually
What you are seeing and hearing is here is the greatest band performing the greatest album while at the top of their game. Magic.
Amen to that brother!
Just watching this video senior post you're absolutely 100% right that's one feels the way I do
Best fucking band in the Universe in their day... Like lightening in a bottle...
I missed out on Tommy but I was there for Queensrÿche
Indeed!
32 years later and I still love this album.
Chris DeGarmo: The most underrated lead guitarist in rock history.
Whip ,too is under rated
the best lead guitarist...with the best lead singer of all time. Yup
I agre
VLHulcy95 And a phenomenal songwriter.
Great solos, incredible harmonies, and beautiful transitions one of the all time greats
This is the real Queensryche
One and only ✌️
There's another?
God damn right real queensryche
Once upon a time. What exists now is at least keeping the music alive to audiences.
U can say that again!
THE MOST EPIC ALBUM EVER-----MADE NEARLY 2 AND A HALF DECADES AGO....MORE RELAVANT THAN EVER!!!!!!
Ik this comment was from 3 years ago, but from 3 years ago, Mindcrime came out 33 years ago, not 25
a concert you could never forget, very lucky to have seen them live once \m/
wumpscut1 I saw this concert live in Denver. Will never forget how amazing it was.
I caught the end of eyes of a stranger in salt lake ,pissed me off had to watch matalica and justice for all instead, I watched them the next time for promised land, great concert.
Fortunate to have seen it twice in 2 weeks. Best concert ever!
Rochester, NY. Sung along at the top of my lungs.
I have seen this 4 times live! I can’t get enough!
I really miss this line up. The most emotional metal ever. If only heads could be removed from the asses, ego's forgotten, reunite and continue on.
This is the only line up for Queensrÿche
The problem is the band went through a mid life crisis and Geoff wasn't as sexy and wasn't doing it for them anymore so they left him for a younger hit number lol now they are dyeing their hair
Some of the best music ever recorded, glad I got to see them 7 times.
This album is a masterpiece!!
I remember when this album came out, it was without equal then and if it was released today it still has no equal. The greatest group ever to play .
This should be on EVERY classic rock station's play list
omg I totally agree! Geoff's voice deserves to be on every station! :D
K Bear this should be the soundtrack for revolution
I wish. Q 94.5 sucks.
DeGarmo and Geoff Tate: can it get any better/perfect than that?
Wow!! I haven't listened to them in a while, almost forgot how good they sound. Pulling out all their CD's to re-listen. Saw then in Omaha May 1991 on their Building Empires Tour. They played the entire Mindcrime Album. So freaking Awesome!!!
Scott Rockinfield. One of the most underrated drummers in the world!
GOOSEBUMPS STILL, 33 YEARS LATER
I first saw Queensryche open for my other all time favorite band Metallica.Which was also my first time seeing them as well. I was blown away by Tate. Still one of the best Heavy Metal singers of all time and Operation Mindcrime is without a doubt one of their best Albums.
Joseph Kelly That was an incredible show. Saw it in Dallas.
I was salt lake for that, but only caught there last song,so I watched Metallica instead, I was kind of pissed because I missed qieensryche.
@@aherrmie Was There - Epic..
When Metallica was doing Injustice for all🙂....and Queensryche where Doing Operation Mindcrime...one of the best concerts ever!!!
It s just amazing how they sound playing live. And i ll be forever grateful to my sister who told me they were coming to play Lisbon and she gave me the ticket. God I Love the old stuff with Geoff and Degarmo,Wilton
I forgot how good this song was, with all the other greats on this album. Amazing, the way it builds in intensity and drama.
The Mission is my favorite song from this album. Damn, DeGarmo was a legend.
Tough but this is my favorite song on the album. So much pain and moral struggle. Exceptionally good band live!!!
Julie Engvall mine favorite is Suite Sister Mary but this one is number 2
You can definitely hear the turmoil the character is going through in Geoff’s voice. Absolutely brilliant songwriting throughout the entire album.
It’s my favorite too.
That guitar intro is haunting. I can't get enough of it.
The album only becomes more relevant with each passing year. Sad statement, great album.

ha!!! That was the first time I was introduced to them also, the Animalize tour if I remember correctly.
Every now and then a band comes along that has all the right ingredients. They were that band.
This Band set the blueprints for all progmetal that came later. And this album is the "father" of Dream Theater's Scenes from a memory.
Operation: Mindcrime is a masterpiece.
Eis um álbum q nenhum música é chata, pq cada música complementa a outra, melhor concerto e performance q já vi, e olha q já tem 30 anos esse concerto
i heard geoff 2 days ago in munich. His voice is still incredible
An absolute awesome performance, the epitome of 1990's concert excellence captured on film.....
I'll never tire from these great songs & videos!
jamie casteel How are you doing?
jamie casteel Good, thanks
I'll never tire iron ;)
Sean Morpheus So true
Kristen Dokken i never get tired of your great taste in music and your love for queensryche
Ions of the most epic choruses ever written and the best concept album ever.
Mindcrime is my favorite and it is my go to for driving long distances.
Always will love this band got me thru some crappy times in my life! I could listen to them forever and ever! Best ever!
Absolutely the GREATEST GUITARIST EVER.
I would’ve loved to see them back then
So amazing.
My dream is for Queensrÿche to have a reunion with Geoff and Degarmo. And for them to to tour this album and have an encore of songs from past albums.
Among all the great songs on Operation Mindcrime this is probably my favourite, even ahead of Eyes of a Stranger. Love how the intensity in the singing grows and how the whole song is a slowly building crescendo to the final chorus and then it finishes off with those fantastic last 20 seconds.
Rare album. The stars all aligned for this one. Few albums is its equal and none that are better.
It all builds towards that final verse chorus and outro...
Agreed. The plodding, grimy main riff really give off a mental image of Nikki out on the streets determined, but struggling. This one and Waiting for 22 are my favorites.
The original and only Queensrÿche was The Who and Pink Floyd of Gen X
one of their best ever songs
Song just absolutely kicks ass! Seen this tour and they were amazing!!
i love queensryche it so puts me in the mood ..........
lol what's with hot chicks loving QR? I know Geoff Tate is irresistible, but damn...lol, my ex gf was in love with 90's Tate.
Nice
This melodic guitar riff by DeGarmo in this piece is absolute pure genius..................
Awesome box set I have it on VHS and cassette. Classic song. Takes me Way back.
YESSSS!!!! Queensryche is the greatest..I've always liked them..This song is so awesome..Thank you for this awesome post...
Blessed to have lived this era.
such an amazing band! I cant get enough of Tate's voice and the whole band intensity of their songs, just wonderful.
An unbelievably legendary performance. This was simply mindblowing.....
"I want you to reach deep into your hearts & pocketbooks...& take his hand...",🤣🤣🤣 ❤
This verse has the greatest riff of all time imo.
Saw this concert twice in the same week at different venues, just awesome , still one of my favourite albums 🤘
You lucky SOB!
Legendary shit!!! Glad I was there to partake
perhaps the greatest concept album of ALL-TIME! HAIL QUEENSRYCHE!
THAT Voice, THOSE Eyes... THOSE Leather Pants~~ I am Salivating, Dear God.what a GORGEOUS Man Geoff is THEN and NOW., and BEYOND TALENTED.THIS was QUEENSRYCHE and Always will be.

this and rage for order are their best 2 albums
Totally agree!!
empire 3rd
these were Queensryche's good old days, before all the punching, spitting, and lawsuits.
Yeah. I don't really care for the new band. It's just not the same without Jeoff.
Geoff can't sing anymore, sadly :/
Who the fuck is Jeoff??
Michael Holmgaard
WRONG
+troubleboy4050 Mister Internet Police Officer!!!!

All the songs a so good on here. Takes me back to high school.

The Mission Always a great Ryche tune to Rock out to! Classic!
My fave song by them!
All 5 of them are gods!!!!!!
Quanto erano grandi !!!! Mi manca questa musica e queste voci non contraffatte 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Fantastic song.
This is the best song in the 90's, sir.
Happy Birthday, Geoff!! You are very missed!!
Where did he go?
One of the few bands from the era (if not all progressive musical history) that did it RIGHT! Legends in their own time.
I search the past back to a time when i was younger, a target for the new society...
this song and roads to madness are my fav tri-ryche songs ever!!!!
my favorite song off Mindcrime. Epic, deep, and dark.
*greatest band ever*
Chris. Geoff. Scott. All gone... do sad. This band in their days should have been on top of the world
Ese disco fue una obra maestra, completo! Operation mindcrime!
Só de ouvir esta música linda, já da pra constatar que o melhor álbum da banda queensryche é operation mind crime.
I'm kicking myself for not making sure i got to a club in JC, TN to see him perform this album...could have up close and personal to the legend😞
2021...Yep...Still rocking as hard as ever .
Their brilliance will never be matched. Mindcrime is a masterpiece.
DeGarmo's kicks are ferocious!
Bless me father for I have sinned
Unbelievable audio on this live recording. This is almost better than the album version....
Miss them so much....Chris....wish you guys Come together one more time
One of there best IMHO.
My favorite album of all time❤️it!
Geoff tate magical voice!!! Queensryche forever my fav band of all time
Wish Chris would join the group again. He's the one with that Progressive writing talent.

Such a great album
Unbelievable track. Amazing guitars..
First Time i saw QR live was 1984 as support for DIO in Germany ; best concert of my life !
