COMPARING MY EUROCHARGED TUNE TO MY DME TUNE! *EXPERIMENT* Part 1!

  • Hey guys! In this video, I test the Eurocharged and DME files on my amg gts. I test the 0-60 time as well as the issues ive had with both the tunes (and surprisingly, the problems were exactly the same with both companies).
    Stick around to the end of the video to find out what the problems were! Also towards the end of the video, DME made a special file with extra pops and bangs!
    In a nutshell, I feel like DME is more hardcore than Eurocharged. DME is more of a "balls to the wall" type of tune while Eurocharged is more "daily drivable". If i ever feel like i want a crazier tune, i upload my DME file and have a lot of fun with it. If im driving on a day-to-day basis and still want a lot of extra power, i use Eurocharged.
    Both companies made great tunes and besides the problems i mentioned in the video, (which they fixed ASAP with excellent customer service), there's nothing else!

    I just did Wiestech on my M278 in a s550, I think it has them all beat in power numbers. The car is incredibly quick now.

    best way to compare would be 60-130...0-60 has too many variables due to traction

    On the tunes does it void your warranty ? Do they actually see if it’s been tuned

    Have you looking into AMR they have great Mercedes handheld tunes and for a cheaper price

    Who wants to go back and forth to the tuners to get things fixed. Bottom line, these tuners are unreliable.

      Of course I don’t know much. But when you say you have had issues that needed to be fixed tells me the tuning is not reliable. I don’t have time for mishaps.
      I found this video because I’m looking for a reliable company but just from reading reviews it a gamble. I live in PA, if you know a reliable tuning company then let me know.

      Iv used eurocharged on 6 different merca. Tt V12'a and ttv8 and supercharged v8s. Iv never had one single issue

    How many KM u got on your AMG GTS and have you ran in any troubles so far? (I'm really considering for months to buy one now, either GTS or a GT53)

      Almost 9,000 miles on it now. No issues at all

      I’ve got 26000km and it’s mint no issues. I’ve seen models at 90k km with no issues

    Renntech with the bigger turbos seems like the way to go.. Only thing is it's an 18k upgrade. Any thoughts?

    with the big honking v8 this thing has, you arent going to get much of a delta in 0-60. thats why there are so many 43 fan boys - those tuned get you a lot more punch in the 0-60 range. Im sure going past 60 would be a major difference compared to stock. I dont think that tenth in the 0-60 is justice to either company

    I’m thinking of getting a Stage 1 tune and all brands that I’ve seen all show that Stage 1 will put my C450 from 362HP to 430HP and only Eurocharged tune says that it’ll boost the car to 480HP. Is that true that eurocharged can boost the HP more then all other tuners or no?

      More hp is much more unreliable. When companies are trying to one up eachother for most horsepower, that's usually a clue to avoid the companies advertising "the most" power. And also more hp doesn't necessarily make a vehicle quicker. Traction as mentioned above, and gearing, weather conditions. A vehicle that does 3.6 sec to 60 mph in outside temps of 55° with rin the same 0-60 in around 5 sec in temps around 86°-90° and 5.5 to 5.8 sec in temps of 95°-105° Density altitude and humidity play a big role as does dew point and actual elevation. Also, hp doesn't cone on line in the race much until after 80 mph. 0-60, 0-100 is mostly torque, as in lb-ft. Steer clear of speed shops that say ft-lbs instead of the correct lb-ft. There is actuallya big difference and one applies to a vehicles engine the other doesn't. Proper terminology is : lb-ft./?pound foot or feet.

      And a dealer will know if you've been tuned. Various sensors parameters will have been changed in a non oem tune and can NOT be reversed. Read that carefully, the tune can be removed but those various sensors are altered and can not be reversed. The lock on the ecu can not be relocked. There is NO such thing as a "undetectable tune" either. And aftermarket cold air intakes don't add more than a few hp, so that's not worth the $200-500. Sane for exhaust. Catts VS no catts, not going to gain any power, just fumes, noise and 5-9 lbs less weight.

      Most people can't handle a vehicle with over 350 hp safety begin with. Its bestcto leave it alone if it has over 400-500-600 hp stock.

    I’m new to tuning. I bought a cls 63 amg with a stage 2 eurocharged ECU tune. The car came with the engine lights on from the tune because it didn’t compensate for catless down pipes . I took the car to my mechanic. He plugged in his computer and told me the engine light was a thermostat code. He cleared the code and the engine light came on. I drive the car for quite some time and the car had a really rough idle with some misfires. Not sure if the problem existed from him clearing the code or if I was sold a lemon. I was told I would need a new engine. I’m really sick right now. Anyone with an idea of what I did wrong, pls tell me.

    Stage 2 Eurocharge makes the car outrageously fast! BUT within 10 minutes on a racetrack I blew out a turbo charger…just too much boost. U have to upgrade the turbos if u want to track the car with a stage 2 tune.

      @@Amgenetics it’s a ‘16 GTs. It was just out of warranty when it happened, but I reverted the tune back to stock when I took it in and thankfully the dealer was understanding and replaced it in warranty 😅. I’ve been too chicken to put the tune back in. But Im sure it’s just fine for street driving.
