Now that I've covered 500 miles in my AMG GT R I wanted to show you some of the cool things I didn't know about, the unusual oddities of the car and then one or two things I don't like so much. Most importantly it's a huge thank you to all of you for supporting this amazing adventure, THANK YOU!
The AMG GT R is fantastic value for money as a supercar as well as being hugely usable, surprisingly so. Most intriguingly I have not yet managed to scrape the front end anywhere which surprises me given how low it looks, and also it has a huge boot space - perfect for touring. However, those lights don't half bug me, and also the dashboard systems feel a bit clunky already.
However, when I headed out to shoot this video before I embark on my Dubai adventures that will start tomorrow, stumbling into the Lamborghini Centenario and Ferrari F12tdf was always a nice thing. Bang on queue, the owner's Pagani Huayra BC drove in shortly after before I took the GT R to a location for some photos and to open up the boot to reveal the Play Button. Thank you so much for your support again, what a journey and who knows where it takes us from here!

Look at MightyCarMods, they got to 1M about 2 years ago, now they have 2.5M subs. The channels will grow quicker with more subscribers. It's like multiplying one (insert currency) and doubling it every time. You'd start at 1-2-4-8-16-... that's simplified how it goes, and it does require a little more than consistent uploads.

Congrats Tim, your hard work shows! Gorgeous spec. I would Black Chrome all the exterior chrome bits and smoke out the rear lights. Tint the rear 3 windows.
I have been a fan of this channel for about 7 maybe 8 years I came out of the Army around the same time always loved your passion and the joy that clearly comes across in your videos love rewatching videos like this great channel Shmee love your content much love and many more years to go!
Your gratitude towards your subscribers (me) is much appreciated and it felt sincere & genuine - I started subscribing when I happened upon the videos recording a Gumball you did in your R8 which was convertible and quite possibly purple - there was a part filmed onboard a plane with lots of the participants getting pretty rowdy - one guy in particular (enjoyed taking his shirt off and showing off his very tattooed body) was very raucous and if you didn’t know better bordering on being intimidating - I thought you dealt with the situation very well and it warmed me to you. Since then I’ve admired your prodigious work ethic and the drive to up the ante and keep your content special. So whilst your thanks are nice it’s not for nothing that you have over a million subs and you have certainly given us plenty in exchange and for me I feel it’s you who should really be thanked for everything you have given us - my hat is tipped!!! :)
Ps when you first announced the GTR would be black I thought it might be a bad move but in fact it looks awesome especially with the black wheels- my friends has a gun metal grey GTS with yellow callipers which looks really mean but I think the black tops it - congrats .

That's the first time I've seen the parking lights used in public, (Mercedes behind Shmee, in front of his in the intro). I know practically every car has them, I've just never seen them used before.
Clicked on a video with an AMG GT R, most amazed by a regular saloon with its driver's side parking lights on.

Tip for media player. My C63S Coupe has the same interface and if you want to change a song up (or down) just press the play button on the touch controller (it should have a dot you can feel so no need to look down) then swipe left or right on the pad. This works in any display mode.
I totally agree on the information screen. I find my heads up display shows more critical information! Combine the two and you should be good.

Those puddle lights are actually effective, they light up the ground BEFORE YOU STEP IN THE PUDDLE, like they’re supposed to.. The interior light will sufficiently light the floor when you’ve opened the door

First of all CONGRATULATIONS. It's awesome to see someone like You having such a special Car. About door issue if I can I suggest to go to service to adjust the Doors. We've had same issue with our CLA 45. I hope that will solve it. I wish you all the best and I'm waiting for next videos.

Struggling to keep up with the uploads at the minute due to being so busy, but the GTR looks insane Tim & 1M is incredibly well deserved.
If you get it on STAR Diagnostic you should be able to change the KPH display to mph, temp etc. Mercedes for some reason or other disable features in certain territories.

Also "funny" how today you've shown the 1M Play Button but also did a bit of car spotting. Whenever I think of a Centenario I think of The Stradman haha. In the 90's I had a 1991 Mazda MX-6 Turbo with 4WS. Was so easy to park any where. And changing lanes on the highway was strange. Over a certain speed all 4 wheels turned in the same direction rather than opposite.

Door shut issue is due to excellent door seals for sound insulation no doubt .There's nowhere for the air to go when closing , sort of compression . Open the window and feel the difference ☺
