Man. I remember playing this game, and the Vietnam expansion, with a 7.1 surround speaker setup, when I was a teenager. My dad complained about the bass so much that I had to mod my subwoofer so I could turn it down lower. The whole house was shaking. What a time to be alive.

I highly doubt they'll ever do a remaster I wish that they would add bots to it so for people that has not been able to experience the multiplayer because of the player base not being there anymore or the servers being shut down because I never got to play it I've always played battlefield 3 4 and Hardline

I thought this video seemed familiar and yes the description confirms it, gameplay from 2011!! :D
I remember watching this video so many years ago (and IT STILL LOOKS EPIC)...
Idk if it's cause I was younger back then or is BFBC2 truly such a superior game but the feeling of epic fun I had in that game is better then what I remember BF3 feeling like and for sure better then BF4 (am playing BF4 now, never was interested in any newer Battlefield after BF4)...
I think those games had better balance, vehicles felt less oppressive and there was just less weapons of mass destruction and guided rockets falling down from the sky all the time (though there was a tiny bit of that too just way less)... BF4 just feels like a massive mosh pit where you spawn directly into the line of fire, everything is just way too damn quick and aggressive...
Everything feels slower in BFBC2 and I think that is what gives it such a good/epic feeling... also maps had perfect mixes of vehicle and infantry gameplay, no helicopters or jets going on a 100 killstreak and shiz like that. xd
Games should to have a bit of calm between action, if it's just CONSTANT ACTION you get numb to it. If I just killed someone, he doesn't need to spawn 10 meters away from me in 6 seconds again lol.

As one of the few kids back then with a PROPER gaming headset, BC2 and BF3 were my shit, I remember telling my friends how they needed to get a headset so they could truly hear the game.

Man, I love this game. One of the best gaming experiences I had as a teen playing video games.

This Game was the perfect cocktail of simple systems working together to create an incredible whole. The Team-play, class design, maps, weapons, audio... there's not been a better Battlefield since. Not to mention it having one of the best DLC's ever conceived in the Vietnam expansion.

Damn I forgot how good this game sounds. Even something small like a chain-link fence getting broken has so much punch to it. Really makes the whole battlefield sound like absolute chaos.
