    My whole family doesn’t exercise at all. I started working out a couple months ago and have really struggled with what to do because I have no friends, family, or anyone I know who lifts. You’re like a big brother to me in a way Sam, you talk with me, joke around, and show me how to lift. Thank you Sam, from the bottom bottom of my heart ❤️

      I watched his full day of eating and back video he just posted yesterday and at the end he mentioned that he would have a clean diet when he’s dieting down. He said I would never eat this bagel lol. But there’s a bunch of mf tryna make videos on him talking about he gone die if he keep eating bad and promoting a trash diet. But if people watch the whole videos instead of assuming he exaplains why he kinda dirty bulks and when he will clean up his diet. Haters gone hate 🤷🏿‍♂️

    Ive lost it. So many deaths. 5 years consistent then I just stopped. My father passed in January and I slowly gave up on my workouts. 6 months in right now without working out, maybe 1-2 pump workouts every other week, but with all that’s happened, I’ve come to a halt. Ive turned to Sam here and there. Watching his videos doesn’t set expectations in me other than wanting it and being consistent, like he does. Say what you want about his routine and style, he’s doing it. Again I find myself sitting here doubting and doing some simple curls, but checking in and seeing the guy get at it, just gives me a lil jump in energy. Im slowly getting back to it but in the mean time, I have some structured folk like him provide this kind of content. Thank you Sam ❤️

    Figuring things out for myself as opposed to doing things because some says so has been such a valuable way of learning. I’ve spent thousands of hours honing my technical skills through experimentation, and compared with the many tutorials I’ve watched, it has given me a deeper understanding, confidence, and satisfaction for solving the problems with my own thinking. Sams right on the money with that advice. It takes a lot longer to work things out, but the benefits are worth it 10 times out of 10, making me a much more skilled technician.

      @@Tom-gf4sg I know I will lose muscle, and a lot of water weight, however that is a risk I am willing to make, I have a deadline of about 7 months before my recruiter leaves my state. (I'm joining the USMC) so I am trying to cut in the next 2 - 3 months down to around 240ish to sign my contract.
      if you care to read: as a freshman in highschool I was about 6'0 and weighed about 325lbs or so, I had cut over the summer from 325 to 255ish (over a period of around 4 months) then slowly gained the weight back through high school, and the middle of last month I was back to about my starting weight, all my progress for nothing. But I have done this serious of a cut in this type of defecit before. So although it doesn't seem ethical, I have done this before and it had worked out for me in the past. I am pretty much winging it in hopes that I don't hit any major plateus that will starve my progression. (that's what caused me to stop going to the gym at 253, at my lowest; was a big plateu)

    I didn’t know you were on accutane brotha. I’m natural but I been battling body acne for 10+ years. I’m 31 and it still hasn’t slowed down like docs have told me. I’ve heard lots of horror stories about accutane, like hair loss, joint/muscle and bone pain, stomach issues, so that’s why I’ve been hesitant to get on it. I know it’s really harsh on your liver, but seeing how it worked for you I might just go ahead and do it. I’m surprised the doc let you get on accutane at the same time as using PED’s, I guess as long as they are watching your liver enzymes and cholesterol and all that you have nothing to worry about! 💪🏼

    • @Zombies8MyPizza
      @Zombies8MyPizza Год назад +4

      I feel like the major issue with accutane is it's overdosed when prescribed. I was prescribed it when I was an adolescent and it worked, but was a horrible experience, mainly due to quite severe depression and my skin was so dry and sensitive, felt like dracula when I got in direct sunlight! I was on 20mg a day. When I was older and dabbled in PEDs some years go, my acne flared back up, I sourced some accutane but this time, after reading that it has a half life of 21 hours, decided to just take it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (20mg). Worked a charm, minimal side effects (mainly just dry skin) and cleared my acne right up. I did that until the acne cleared up which took a few weeks, and then went on a maintenance dose of Monday and Friday for the rest of the cycle which was both effective and side effect free. I especially think this protocol would be prudent for a PED user who's already taxing their liver and lipids.

    When I'm really not feeling it I always tell myself "just get to the gym, we will sort it out once we get there". Some days I actually feel super bad and going in and getting my warmup in is all I can manage. But 90% of the time, once I get to the gym I wind up getting a pretty good lift in and I feel better for it. I come from a powerlifting and strongman background, but I've been struggling w/ going up a weight class off and on for almost 3 years now. I hover around 200lbs comfortably, and watching how you approach a bulking diet is inspiring me to take another serious stab at getting up to 220.
    Talking about the "spidey-sense" in lifting it's the thing that is the biggest sign of being a mature lifter. Knowing how hard to push and when to cash out is hard, different folks have to worry more about either not pushing enough or pushing too hard.
    I think it's a quote from Faker (a League of Legends pro) who said something along the lines of "Hard work and discipline are good, but it will never beat someone with passion". I think hard work and discipline are the things that help elevate your consistency, but passion has to be your main driver or you will get burnt out. Find the ways that make you excited to lift and you will be significantly more consistent at the gym
