I'm just over 4 weeks into my cut, and am 33 pounds down, with more and more motivation to keep going, and I have to give a big hand to Sam for keeping me motivated and informed.
I would recommend eating in less of a deficit if you’re losing weight that fast, you don’t want to lose more than a few pounds per week(besides the first week, when you shed water weight) because you’ll likely lose a lot of muscle
@@Tom-gf4sg I know I will lose muscle, and a lot of water weight, however that is a risk I am willing to make, I have a deadline of about 7 months before my recruiter leaves my state. (I'm joining the USMC) so I am trying to cut in the next 2 - 3 months down to around 240ish to sign my contract. if you care to read: as a freshman in highschool I was about 6'0 and weighed about 325lbs or so, I had cut over the summer from 325 to 255ish (over a period of around 4 months) then slowly gained the weight back through high school, and the middle of last month I was back to about my starting weight, all my progress for nothing. But I have done this serious of a cut in this type of defecit before. So although it doesn't seem ethical, I have done this before and it had worked out for me in the past. I am pretty much winging it in hopes that I don't hit any major plateus that will starve my progression. (that's what caused me to stop going to the gym at 253, at my lowest; was a big plateu)
I love how Sam is doing his own thing, and it’s all about reaching his goals and sharing advice for his followers. He doesn’t have some weird clout chasing gimmick and he seems like a cool down to earth guy. In todays age it’s very refreshing!
Figuring things out for myself as opposed to doing things because some says so has been such a valuable way of learning. I’ve spent thousands of hours honing my technical skills through experimentation, and compared with the many tutorials I’ve watched, it has given me a deeper understanding, confidence, and satisfaction for solving the problems with my own thinking. Sams right on the money with that advice. It takes a lot longer to work things out, but the benefits are worth it 10 times out of 10, making me a much more skilled technician.
The REALLY hard part is not when I have a bad day, but when I have a bad/exhausting MONTH and everyday is a grind to get myself in the gym and kill it when day in and day out I'm beat to hell. LOVE YOUR CONTENT SAM

Always been a gym guy but never really watched much RUclips for it. Used to watch rich piana everyday back in high school when I first fell in love with lifting. Here I am 10 years later watching Sam Sulek every day still as an everyday gym goer. This dudes got it man.
I didn’t know you were on accutane brotha. I’m natural but I been battling body acne for 10+ years. I’m 31 and it still hasn’t slowed down like docs have told me. I’ve heard lots of horror stories about accutane, like hair loss, joint/muscle and bone pain, stomach issues, so that’s why I’ve been hesitant to get on it. I know it’s really harsh on your liver, but seeing how it worked for you I might just go ahead and do it. I’m surprised the doc let you get on accutane at the same time as using PED’s, I guess as long as they are watching your liver enzymes and cholesterol and all that you have nothing to worry about! 💪🏼
I feel like the major issue with accutane is it's overdosed when prescribed. I was prescribed it when I was an adolescent and it worked, but was a horrible experience, mainly due to quite severe depression and my skin was so dry and sensitive, felt like dracula when I got in direct sunlight! I was on 20mg a day. When I was older and dabbled in PEDs some years go, my acne flared back up, I sourced some accutane but this time, after reading that it has a half life of 21 hours, decided to just take it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (20mg). Worked a charm, minimal side effects (mainly just dry skin) and cleared my acne right up. I did that until the acne cleared up which took a few weeks, and then went on a maintenance dose of Monday and Friday for the rest of the cycle which was both effective and side effect free. I especially think this protocol would be prudent for a PED user who's already taxing their liver and lipids.
@@PickleThePig No the fuck it isn't lmao. Maybe for prevention, but if you're actively having a bad breakout, you need a higher dose. Maybe not the 80+mg/day prescribed. Accutane dosage works on a total accummuative dose that's required to shrink the sebum glands (especially permanently).
I am glad that this channel exists. The routine of watching your videos at the end of the day, gives me a lot of insight on what to do in a gym. Hope you continue to inspire others like you did inspire me to lift and embrace who you are.
I love how in the car rides Sam actively wants an open dialogue, if you don't agree, talk about it, we're all here to learn and we all have the same goal relatively
Love the videos bro. I will say this so everyone knows the anatomy of the back. The muscles you pointed out are your teres major and minor that lie between the deltoid and the lat. The rhomboids are a deep muscle group that lay underneath the middle trap, so they’re more towards the midline. You’re back is massive though brother keep up the hard work 💪🏼
I wish these dudes would make videos about their juice cycle, whatever they're on, get specific and bring and education to it, instead of just posting bulk videos that show a man eating an amount that would put rolls of fat on anyone not on juice and just weight lifting.. it's something that needs to happen. The honesty and straight-forwardness would be welcomed by the community
I have a childhood best friend who has been very disciplined with weightlifting. I used to lift with him when i was 16-18, fell off, 25 now, but for some reason i couldnt get into the headspace my friend was. He moved out of town recently. I discovered you Sam, and holy shit you are just a bigger version of him. Really feels like im having the convos i had with him years ago. Honest to god, you got me back into fitness. Ive always maintained a 165lbs 6'1" frame but now my goal is 180lbs for next year. Thank you for the inspiration!
I remember watching on day 30 of this not knowing who he was just a guy doing his own thing. Now on the same series the guy has grown exponentially! It’s insane to see what can happen if you’re just consistent and true to yourself
The fact you stopped heavy squats & also bent over rows will help with injury prevention especially the lower back, stay safe guy!!! Can’t do it all ALL the time
Watching this after getting my wisdom teeth removed this morning to help get my mind off of knowing I can’t eat/go to the gym for these next few days. I’m doing fine (I’m in immense pain)
Make shakes to get your macros and train small muscles that dont strain your body so much like delts, forearms and calves. Thats what I did when I got mine out lol.
I think beginners will benefit from watching you "warm up" you don't show that... but it is really beneficial to warm up properly ❤ thanks for what ur doing Sam
This helped me a lot because I was doing decreasing range of motions as I go to failure and someone told me I was doing it wrong. Full range of motion or stop they said. I kind of noticed they were wrong but seeing you do it how I like to train helped me realize there is merit to slowly decreasing range of motion as you begin to fail.
I don’t think Sam is fully aware that a crappy diet can actually destroy his health, and what bad health actually means. When you’re organs are damaged, it can translate to nerve damage and muscle wasting, which will end your lifting career; and that’s not even the worse part, obviously, since you can very well end up dead or on dialysis. This man genuinely does not realize that he’s throwing his life away; between the ped’s and all the processed food and lack of fruits+vegetables, the consequences are VERY real. If you’re gonna be on ped’s, it is even more important to eat healthy, but sadly he’s ignoring common sense and walking right into disaster. He’s gotta wake up big time.
Exactly my thoughts, just found out about this clown today, I have no respect for these morons in this day in and age. How can people be so oblivious to how important it is to eat right when you are going to war against your body almost daily, the huge spikes in cortisol from weightlifting demands absolutely solid diet foundation, not processed hell like this dude is eating

Waste of time to talk more about that. People already reach and make up clueless bs. He knows what he's doing and he's really young. He's healthy. Honestly Sam if you made these even just once a week we'd all love it, even if you think it might be boring because "it's the same shit every day" I think I speak for nearly all everyone that we love these long ass videos. They're super relaxing to watch and just really entertaining in general (also pls bring back the old background music)

I'm just over 4 weeks into my cut, and am 33 pounds down, with more and more motivation to keep going, and I have to give a big hand to Sam for keeping me motivated and informed.
What’s the goal and what your starting point, great job tho man
33lbs down in 4 weeks💀bro you’re losing all your muscle shouldn’t be in that big of a calorie deficit man
I would recommend eating in less of a deficit if you’re losing weight that fast, you don’t want to lose more than a few pounds per week(besides the first week, when you shed water weight) because you’ll likely lose a lot of muscle
@@proffesornugget1613 6'3 322lbs, now at 289 / 290 going for 240ish to sign a contract to join the Marines. need to get to 220 as my final weight.

I talk like this to myself without a camera. Talking about what I’m doing and what I’m planning to do. Very therapeutic
I got mine online no doctor. And took half regular dose as well and it worked.
Low dose. 5mg a day is plenty.
At a max of 60mg/day, I had maybe chapped lips for the first 2-3 weeks. Nothing else, except clearer skin (from very severe cystic outbreak).
i dont know why his videos are so long but not boring. i love this guy
Glad to hear Sam is getting his blood checked and is at least conscious about his diet and health. We wouldn’t want to lose such a cool dude ❤
you are obliged to check your blood or the docs won't prescribe accutane since it fucks up your liver.
def not conscious about his health lol
He will be just fine, few well educated are reaching out to him and as he goes forward he will make adjustments for the better.
@@SuperBranFlakez nah he is. He definitely could be healthier though.
Doesn't matter if he gets blood checked every week. The amount of damage from peds will always be there and will catch up to him very soon

Perfect timing, just finished a lift and now enjoying a protein shake and a meal. Thanks Sam
Love the videos bro. I will say this so everyone knows the anatomy of the back. The muscles you pointed out are your teres major and minor that lie between the deltoid and the lat. The rhomboids are a deep muscle group that lay underneath the middle trap, so they’re more towards the midline. You’re back is massive though brother keep up the hard work 💪🏼
Hands down best fitness channel on youtube
I wish these dudes would make videos about their juice cycle, whatever they're on, get specific and bring and education to it, instead of just posting bulk videos that show a man eating an amount that would put rolls of fat on anyone not on juice and just weight lifting.. it's something that needs to happen. The honesty and straight-forwardness would be welcomed by the community
It's a controlled substance in USA. That's why many don't discuss it.

Anyone else want to see Sam hit the 3/4 Arnold back pose from now on? I think it would look pretty freaky.
I just watch ur Vids Sam to get Hyped up, your the biggest inspiration here, luv ur Vlogs dude
