Yyyyyyyyyeeesssssiiiirrrrrr!!!!n he’s back !!! Let’s go
Very glad to be back man...be a crazy couple of weeks.
Really dope review brother!
My man, thank you!
He’s back folks!!!! Missed you brother 💪🏾
I’m glad to be back man, was a crazy few weeks. I appreciate you man!
are there midi in and outs on it?
@@SuperICEMIKE Hey there! Unfortunately, no midi
@@BeatsNBed OK Thanks Bro.!!!
@ No prob and anytime man 🫡
Dope, your voice volume is to low
@@akawave I definitely agree, I normally normalize the audio for my videos but wanted to give you guys what it sounds like directly out of the mixer. I appreciate you for the tip!
Yeah and the intro destroyed my ears, still have tinnitus after 20mn
Mackie's been a long time favorite from their analog mixer days. I think they've done a really good job here.
This is very true, it made the purchasing decision a lot more easy as it was from a brand that I trust. Thank you for stopping by!
Dat Intro guud! But that Intro LOUD! xD nice review! :)
@@kvnklbngr4801 😂😂😂 I’ll make sure I turn it down next time around. Thank you man!
Nice review brother. Very cool product.
@@newtype-beats Thank you my man! Glad you stopped by!
A noise gate and a compressor are not the same thing! A noise gate basically mutes the channel when there is no signal. A compressor lowers peaks and raises low passages. Nice review though! Keep up the good work!
@@GaragebandandBeyond Hey there man! You are correct, I was more so referring to the way they are controlled (threshold, attack, release, etc.). I really appreciate you stopping by, been watching your channel for years!
@@BeatsNBed oh, OK, I completely understand. Sorry about that!
Thanks for watching!
Funny...Im looking for a audio interface as we speak and this popped up. This is super enticing. The interface and on board effects looks DOPE.
@@KingHanma Right on time 😎 This thing is really dope man. I only review equipment that I actually use and believe in. You wouldn’t be disappointed with this interface. I appreciate you for stopping by family!
Subscribed, look forward to a video of you using this with your MPC workflow 🫡
It's coming my man! Welcome to the BeatsNBed family!
All The Time I Criticize Some Gurus Talking About Audio Interfaces, Microphones Etc With The Worse On The Video.
*They Talk About Audio By They Have The Worse Audio*
They Only Speak They Don't Know What Talking About. As Simple As That
Nice review
Thanks fam!
I looked at this and the 12 channel creator that they make, I decided to get the new Motu 828, though this appeared to be a good buy. I went with the Motu because of the DSP with in and out EQ. Compression, reverb, inserts and a 38 Channel digital mixer for what you do the DLZ is a great all in on. Good video and good luck. I use the JBL 308p with the 10inch JBL sub for the money they are great monitors
Man, that Motu 828 is in a completely different league! One day I'm sure I'll need that amount of inputs. Thank you for sharing your monitors as well, I'm still shopping around. My space isn't really suited for a pair yet. I'm just getting tired of listening to everything with my headphones lol.
Sounds good as well.
Thanks man!
As soon as I saw it and the screen… I want it
That’s the first thing that caught my attention as well 😂. I know you would love it man, it’s the perfect studio companion!
Nice review, thanks! Would be nice to hear the sound effect buttons when you push them, but you covered a lot.
I can’t find this answer anywhere, but can you record to the onboard sd card AND output (and record) to your computer simultaneously? My mixpre3 can but I’ve seen reviews claiming that it’s not a common feature. Thanks!
Great vid bro and im subbed. I was wondering if I could hear my MPC and computer at the same time with this or do I have to use a DAW to hear my MPC? Thanks!
@@2ATILLTHEYBURYME Hey there, I really appreciate you and welcome to the BeatsNBed family! You can hear both at the same time, no DAW needed. They are both coming through independent channels so they will be recognized separately. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@BeatsNBed Thanks family! I just ordered because of this review. Glad to be a part of your channel early on. Keep pushing and your other vids are 🔥🔥to. 💯💯
@@2ATILLTHEYBURYME This is exactly what I do this for man, let me know when you get it. If you need any help with anything let me know.
@@BeatsNBed Yep and thanks again 💯💯💯
Hi bought mine and i can't get reverb or delay in the headphones mixes only the dresser and gate and compressor the reverb and delay only seems available in the mains output mix. have a missed something cause if you can't do this its useless as an interface for anyone who sings its really important to hear reverb in the headphones to help a singer feel good. its quite bizarre unless I've missed something
I am always struggling with GAS so this video is right up my alley. I have a 24 track interface so this won't work for me but if I was shopping I'd definiltely consider it. Your delivery and expertise are on point. Only thing is the video is too dark....the device is not well lit nor is your face when it's shown. I'd increase the brightness to make everything very clear. Otherwise this is an excellent gear review video. Well done.
@@seanhenriques808 Glad you enjoyed it sir! I was experimenting with some things and still a bit new to cameras, color grading, etc. I’m going to really step it up for future videos. Thank you for the criticism and I hope to see you back!
Studio monitors Yamaha hs5, hs7 or hs8 the bigger one sound great
12 inputs is a lot very dope, Kali audio for the monitor suggestion.
@@totemadept thanks bro!!! Will check them out
I have it but I have yet to use it
@@noramoss you’re in for a treat 😉
@@BeatsNBed i can imagine! I have mackie mixboards and i have the mackie mainstream and i like those a lot. Thank you for the video
Appreciate the vid. You could use a brighter mic or EQ as your voice is in a low register and low in volume. Would help us hear you a little better. Tx.
@@newguy6935 Thank you for the tip! I’m will make sure that the next video is much better.
@@BeatsNBed I've got the same problem. My speaking voice is in a low register and I speak with low volume also. That's why I just can't go to noisy restaurants - because I have to end up shouting so people can even hear me. No fun. Take care.
@@ot9er It’s ok, it was my fault. The next one will be way better 😉
Do I have to buy it to make my background music 20 times louder than my voice?
@@dirkpehrke9909 that’s the hidden feature 😂
I'm honestly surprised it doesn't cost more. The Focusrite 18i20 is $499, Presonus 1824C $499, Anything UAD $599^ with that ease of use and visual aid that's a steal. Of course it depends on how much you utilizing it. I got the first gen 18i20 when it was new. Never thought I'd out grow out of it, but I have all the ports occupied. I'll just chain it with ADAT. I have a patchbay hooked up to it already too. Idk about the newer generations, but never really had complaints with the OG.
I do plan on getting another interface soon...I like the rackmount ones though for stay at home stuff only for less desk clutter. I know UAD, RME, Volt you do hear a increase in quality compared to Focusrite. Now you got me looking at that lol. I like something that you could bring the laptizzy with you, enough I/O, but isn't too bulky for travel. There's so much gear that has its own audio interface built in with its own I/O, but they just don't sound good. You feel like it was a increase in quality or just about the same? Also you tested in the DT1990s? I have them joints too 250. You hear bad real easily, but the overhyped ain't so hype if you listened with the AT-M50s first then put those on 😂.
My man!!! I’m glad it didn’t cost more than $500 😅 would not be on this desk 😂. But you are 100% right, I think the features that they pack in here make it worth way more. The Focusrite i8i20 is a beast man! What interface would you upgrade to?
@@Jusaboredguy Probably a UAD Apollo or a Motu 828C. Idk though UAD is hit or miss with their drivers on windows. Mac no worries. Don't like the cost, but for something I'll use like every day for years...I'd swing it....damn affirm, klarna something lmao. I'd still used the focusrite too as long as I can set stuff up and leave things hooked up the way they are. I lose so much time and mood playing with cables troubleshooting routing.
What’s the difference between me and you? Me and you me and you me and you … that beat and sounds still slap
One of my favorite beats of all time man! Whenever I'm referencing a mix or testing audio equipment, it's my first go to.
Hey, I appreciate the video my first time watching one recommendation your voice audio is Hella low but your music is Hella loud try to level em out so that they’re on the same page
What's going on man! I appreciate you stopping by. I will definitely correct that issue for the next videos.
@@BeatsNBed Question: with the previous version, another reviewer said they had issues with compatibility on the sample rate for the MPC. Are you able to connect this to your MPC directly for multi truck recording? If you haven’t tried yet no worries.
A touch screen tascam 12??
@@WaynePryce I wouldn’t say all that lol! The Model 12 is more for larger jobs with a plethora of inputs. I may end up picking one up in the future when I get a larger desk and more equipment.
You can keep that interface my brotha
@@EDMQuickTips Respect, it’s not for everyone. Thank you for stopping by!
TURN UP THE VOLUME DUDE!!!! 🤪
The Mackie is good but not at that price. You should look at the Behringer X18. It does need a tablet or computer to control it but you get a lot more I/O. It’s also a lot older but not criticising your video. Just offering an alternative around the same price.
Hey there man! The Behringer X18 may definitely be a strong option once I expand this studio. The DLZ has dropped in price quite a bit since I’ve released this video so it may be in that ball park you are looking for 😉. Thank you for the comment my friend!
No knob for the volume control = i create a ferrari and i forget to put one wheel
@@TheFab_ I can’t even deny this one 😂😂😂. On point with the analogy!
Your sting is way too loud
Are you referring to my intro?
dude ur voice is so quiet that intro music destroys hearing
You owe me new speakers in a subwoofer learn how to mix your stuff, please
That’s the first time I heard this one. I got you on the next one.
Poorly done video 😂
