Top tier informative video Ian. The oversized tube was quite the find. I'm quite amazed at the details you incorporate into your content. Thank heavens, there was no mishap. 👍
Super simple but bloody genius, cheers And good luck getting your wife to choose a different bike for pillion, we've tried loads and nothing beats the 500 Classic as far as my wife is concerned 😂
Sue agrees with your wife😂Watch out for a video next week. We are going travelling to Orsova in Romania this coming weekend. It will be a good ride on the 500 Bullet. I was planning on taking the Interceptor but Sue had other ideas. The boss wins.
You relying on the rest of the frame is symetrical and the swing arm accurate to length, neither is often the case (I used to be a frame builder) and on one of my Kawas this is so. A straight-edge on the rear wheel to the front is the only correct way and then a straight-edge over the two sprockets.

Quite ingenuous.
Hi Ian, i measure from the center of the axle back to the frame. More accurate over longer distance. Chris
Good afternoon Ian, well done, I’ve been educated.. cheers Phil 🇦🇺

Excellent solution.
I had to smile because I encountered the same problem as you. Then I did the same thing as you!👍👍

My 2015 Classic 500 has the Snail-cam adjusters, so this doesn't work for me, sadly.
My model is the rear brake disc ABS model. I think the snail adjusters were on the earlier drum brake model.
